I’ve personally never had any connection issues despite my Orbi router satellite being in the media cabinet, I did have an issue with the subwoofer cutting out a few times and to rectify that I moved the sub to that corner of the room closer to the soundbar and that resolved the issue. The rears on this unit occasionally show as not being connected when you first boot up, but as soon as you play content they all work fine. I’m guessing the lg s95qr will most likely be better for vocals as they’re using the centre atmos channel as an addition to the centre speaker rather than using it as centre atmos. Rear speakers should produce better side surround with the side firing speakers now, however that will be dependent on your room shape as in my room the rear right side speaker would be deflecting straight away because it’s in a corner. Similarly the soundbar (s95qr) is actually slight slanted for the side surrounds from the pictures which should help with projection of the side surround from the main soundbar as well. With all that said I don’t think either are worth their RRP and max I would pay for the s95qr would be around the £650-800 mark during Black Friday/cyber Monday sales. I don’t think I’d upgrade this current setup that though as I’ll be looking at stand alone speakers if/when I upgrade the audio now.
I’ve noticed that the AI Calibration does not reset the volume of the individual speakers when it’s being run, so make sure they’re all set to ZERO before starting the calibration. On a side note, for me, the AI room calibration fixed much of the “muddy” dialogue issues.
Thank you for this very good review. I have some questions: 1. Is there different between SN11RG and SN11R models ? Here in Saudi Arabia we have SN11R model only. 2. Do you think it works without delay ? Thank you.
The rg has google built in the r alone doesn’t. Price wise I’d say it’s a good deal for £750/$750 mark. Length of cable won’t be an issue for Audio delay unless it cuts out entirely, you can remedy this with good quality cable and any lip sync delay can be adjusted in your settings

Most of the Samsung soundbars do suffer from drop outs as far as I’ve seen, I’ve not had a single drop out with the sn11rg so all good there. Sound can sound muffled on all modes but you can fix it with the tweaks to the channel settings in the app (put with the remote). AI mode sound very fake and tinny compared to movie and it also makes the sound like it’s floating in the middle of the room rather than coming from the centre channel (hard to describe but very evident when in person), The sound calibration does make a difference, I’ll discuss that in its own video soon.

If you have Dolby atmos content playing it’ll automatically switch to Dolby atmos profile (you can’t select it manually) automatically no matter which mode you’re in and you can’t change it until the content has been stopped. @@MATechRUclips Thank you. Another question, what will be the features if I use the LG tv? And if I use the Sony tv as I mention, would the Dolby Atmos still be effective?
Dolby atmos depends on the source, if the source sends an atmos signal it will work. Best way is usually to connect all devices to the soundbar and then the soundbar to the tv via arc/earc port.

My SL10YG centre channel had no issues at all and if anything I had it turned lower than all my other channels so most likely you haven’t set it up correctly.
I’ve only ever taken it to 21/22, I believe it goes up to 40 but you’d never be able to take it that high without serious hearing problems as even 20 is ridiculously loud! At 20 it literally shakes the whole room with bass and surround events fly all around you.
11.2.4, sure about that? 🤦🏽♂️ Let me do it for you… 11.1.4 - 11 ear level speakers, 1 sub and 4 atmos speakers. As for your clear bias against lg, atleast they don’t drop out repeatedly whilst watching content like the Samsung soundbars do (as reported by Samsung owners). Lg isn’t perfect and I’ve highlighted their deficiencies on to channel but for the price there’s nothing that comes close to it. As for the q950a soundbar the things that put me off it are as follows: - Cloth covering looks cheap and attracts dirt - tiny screen on top of the soundbar is the stupidest design decision I’ve seen on any soundbar, and the dots on the front are useless - no smart phone integration for speaker configuration at this price point £1599 is frankly unacceptable. - side and angled (4 of the ear level speakers) will be massively room dependent and most likely no one will be able to tell the difference between this and last years (or the year before as it was almost identical design) as they’ll simply blend into each other. If you want the best sound from any “Soundbar” out there and don’t mind having an ugly eyesore in your room then I recommend the Nakimichi 9.2.4 which by separating the speakers gives much better sound isolation compared to any “bar” as no matter what they do the sound always appears to come from the bar to an extent. As for comparing it to the Sn11rg, this cost me £650 I could literally buy 2 of these for the price if the q950a

@@MATechRUclips TECH SAID IT WAS NO GOOD AND GOT SENT TO EXEC SERVICE AND A MAJOR nightmare since, when it did function it sounded great. i keep getting the excuse that i am out of service area; they shipped it to me eh.
Basically the speakers were not functioning on some of the settings.
live in Juneau Alaska; shipped from anchorage and yay stuck with it ,.
I have an lg sl10yg model, the middle channel is considered dead, lg is not worth buying away
My SL10YG centre channel had no issues at all and if anything I had it turned lower than all my other channels so most likely you haven’t set it up correctly.
@@MATechRUclips hi what is the Max Volume that the LG Soundbar goes up to?
I’ve only ever taken it to 21/22, I believe it goes up to 40 but you’d never be able to take it that high without serious hearing problems as even 20 is ridiculously loud!
At 20 it literally shakes the whole room with bass and surround events fly all around you.
NOTHING COMPARES TO THE SAMSUNG Q950A TOTAL OF 23 SPEAKERS 11.2.1. THE BEST ON THE MARKET. LG SOUNDBARS ARE NO GOOD 👎
11.2.1 🤦🏽♂️
@@MATechRUclips 11.2.4 🙄 AND YES LG SOUNDBARS SUCK
11.2.4, sure about that? 🤦🏽♂️
Let me do it for you…
11.1.4 - 11 ear level speakers, 1 sub and 4 atmos speakers.
As for the q950a soundbar the things that put me off it are as follows:
- Cloth covering looks cheap and attracts dirt
- tiny screen on top of the soundbar is the stupidest design decision I’ve seen on any soundbar, and the dots on the front are useless
- no smart phone integration for speaker configuration at this price point £1599 is frankly unacceptable.
As for comparing it to the Sn11rg, this cost me £650 I could literally buy 2 of these for the price if the q950a
@@MATechRUclips THEN YOU GO AHEAD AND BUY 2 LG SOUNDBARS.😂 I LOVE THE SAMSUNG 950A SOUNDBAR NO DROPOUTS FOR ME IT'S AMAZING. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT WITH MY 65 INCH SONY A90J TV. 😎
Completely missed the point 🤦🏽♂️
But never the less if you’re happy then good for you, and if they have finally fixed the dropouts then it’s progress, and only taken them 4 generations of soundbar to do what lg achieved years ago 😂
Each to their own mate, all the best with your setup.
