Thank you and bless your heart for putting this on RUclips. Watching how you handle the changes from the melodic parts to the chord sections is really helpful. I realize the tempo doesn't change, but it feels like it does! The piece seems so simple, yet is so subtle and tricky!
Wow. That reminds me of my childhood, when my Dad played it (an easier version ;-)...) on the piano, but I did not remember the name of it, but now I finally know! Thank you!
@@bornforbanning Right, it’s a Chorale Prelude from the Cantata BWV 147. The first part of the chorale melody appears first in homophonic texture; then, succeeding phrases are accompanied by the flowing “triplet” eighth notes.

Thank You for this tutorial Stanislav! As an amateur, I have spent much time this winter covid season learning this beautiful song. Bach was my favourite past composer. Tony Banks of Genesis is my favourite modern day composer. Again because of you I have learned ths song... Much appreciated!
Amazing! This is really concert pianist quality! A very beautiful translation of the piece. I love Bach, especially Jesu Joy of Man´s Desiring, Wir Setzen uns mit Tränen Nieder and Oh Haupt Voll Blut und Wunden
Amazing. Well done. I notice you can reach those extra notes in brackets without having to stagger them. That’s the first time I’ve seen someone do that with this piece.
SO MAJESTIC, WONDERFUL!!!!! I waited a long time for this Bach's piece as a tutorial on your channel (already I've heard this masterpiece in your playlist "Best of Bach", but as your performance, not as a tutorial), thank you for as always an excellent rendition, of course, the next my big "like-thumb up-upvote" 19 for this great video, again my best wishes from Poland, have a happy week.
Hey Stanislav....Great Playing my friend! Bach would be very proud of your rendition!! I am trying to learn how to play this piece, and while watching your fingers is helpful,I was wondering if you could convert your playing into a midi file for me that I could put into my synthesia software and learn to play it from there. That way i could input the fingerings into the program. That would be a blessing for me if could do.Thanx Stanislav...and many Blessings from the Almighty. to you!!Phil from NYC
Stanislav Stanchev I found my score and have been practicing. But I lack your technique, and have a bad time getting the proper fingering. Do you have the fingerings noted in your score? Or is your technique so advanced that you know exactly the proper fingering? Of course I am asking if you have a score with the correct fingers that you could email!!!
@@wotan10950 Hi Dave! I don't have additional fingers written on the score sadly. Only the ones you see on the score of the video. I usually don't think too much about.fingers and I go with the flow haha :)
you played very well.. just wonder i'm self learning and i'm studying this piece, but why all the scores don't include fingerings? im really confused to play it . Is there an edition with fingering? thanks
Hi! Thank you very much! :) Yeah, this edition has little to none suggestion for fingers.. no idea if there is another with more.. You can try to slow down the video and see what i chose to play with :) Best wishes!
Thank you for this Stanislav; I just found this video. This piece has so many different flowing parts yet you play it so effortlessly. I admire the fact you were able to bring out the voice despite all the complicated fingering. And was it me or did your left hand manage a couple of 10ths?
SO GREAT, MAGNIFICENT!!!!! Already several times I've heard this Bach's masterpiece on your channel (your tutorial and this recording from 2017 arr. by an English pianist Myra Hess on your playlist "Best of Bach", again thank you for your both excellent performances). What piece are you planning soon(???). As always with my warmest greetings from Poland, have a happy weekend.
Thank you very much Joanna!! :)) I plan something easy because of the problems with my equipment. So probably Yiruma River flows or something similar :)

Glad you are enjoying my playing! :) And sure you can use it if you want but i have a copyright claim on this video for some reason. I tried to dispute it..but they keep confirming it. Bastards haha! :D
@@StanislavStanchev Thanks! I'm not too worried about the claim on my end. However here's an idea for you to win the copyright. Take a video of your piano (you have identifiers such as chips in your keys).
