There are many songs based on this chord progression. A few examples: Frank Sinatra - fly me to the moon Gary moore - still got the blues Vivaldi - winter Atumn leaves Michael Fugain - une belle histoire Etc.
It’s because this melody lasts for 30 seconds in Passacaglia by Johann Halvorsen. In the beginning of the 6 minute piece it doesn’t sound like this, the melody comes in later. Since it’s not heard right of the bat, people don’t associate this melody with passacaglia
passacaglia is not the name of this piece. passacaglia is merely the name of a dance, just like, allemande, sarabande, menuet, bourree, gigue, courante, hornpipe etc. Handels passacaglia is part of a whole suite.

Shadow the melody is quite easy the only tricky part is the left hand because there are tricky jumps but they stay the same so it’s not too hard with some practice
At first I thought that too but looking closer... His finger movements... Right hand 1st finger barely misses his 5th replacing it... Such accuracy! Wow
I would be very cautious in considering this Handel piece easy, hitting the right notes or having a melody repeat itself will help but you must get so many things right in piano playing, interpretation, fluidity, soft touch, correct fingering, right notes, the piano, mezzo forte the forte, the pedal, the tempo, memorization, the heart you put into the piece that the listener will hear The list goes on Nothing is easy in beautiful piano playing

My dear friend Stanislav Stanchev, congratulations on getting more than 2,000,000 views. A well-deserved achievement, as you are a wonderful, incredible, fantastic pianist. I'm super happy you reach this number of views and I'm absolutely sure that this number doesn't stop there, it will increase day by day. You are a genius my friend, you are amazing. Congratulations.
Hi. After watching you play this, I looked for the sheet music. That left hand was so difficult to play...especially when combined with the right. But after a week of practice, I got so much better...but not playing at your speed here of course. Thank you for inspiring me!
The trick is to figure out the chords for the left hand. I think it is A minor, D minor, G major, C major, F major , D minor, E major, back to A minor… something like that. Once you figure that part out, the left hand is the same pattern over and over again.
Stanislav, thank you! Amazingly beautiful, and only you could select and play such a sensitive masterpiece! May I ask you to send me the sheet music. Thank you! cmelkon86@sbcglobal.net

I love your account. I love to learn new songs and feel relaxed and your way of playing the piano also teaches me a lot and it’s just beautiful to listen to. Thank you 🙏
Почему такая простая музыка так красива и гениальна?! Ведь в этом произведении просто каждая гармония является доминантой к следующей, и всë, больше никаких других украшений... Правда говорят, что гениальность в простоте...
With the left hand is there a specific reason that you seem to alternate between using the first (pinky) and second (ring) finger to play the second note of the arpeggio?
Just started learning this - it’s actually ”easier” then you might think. Yes it’s very fast but also very repetitive. The left hand uses the same six/seven sets of notes over and over. I encourage everyone to try and learn it!
Thank you very much for taking the time to upload content like this! A huge inspiration... Your version is one of the reasons I wanted to make a recording of my own. Thanks again!
Thought this piece might be beyond my skill level, but I do believe I hear some familiar excerpts from my good old Hanon exercises in the right hand, so I will sit down and work at it.
I hear similarities of the chord progression/bass movement of this piece in the pop song "I Will Survive." Can anyone else hear it too? Question: Is this considered an original piece of music by Johan Halvorsen or is it considered as just an arrangement of the more famous Handel's Passacaglia at the end of his Keyboard Suite No. 7 HWV 432 (1720)? And beautifully played here, Stanislav! I just got a copy of it and I'm going to work on it now. Not only is it a beautiful piece and looks to be very much fun to play, but it's also a good finger exercise as well as arpeggio exercise to boot. I love the bass pattern here.
yeah it is a great little piece :) I consider this as a "original" - ruclips.net/video/bRfWGujoCf8/видео.html . I can`t wait to hear you play it :) Can`t say about "I will survive"... maybe there is :D

sheet music is like sub titles for the music.
For me it’s like subtitles in a different language tho
Seriously though. Reading along to the sheet music is exactly like subtitles lmao
This is easier than I thought

He’s 6 whole years above my level and that’s super easy.
