Mais pour avoir un doigté aussi souple et assuré comme celui-ci ça met des années à acquérir. Avec tes 4 cours, la personne qui jourait, (on ne pourrait pas l'appeler un pianiste), ferait un son de marteau que personne ne pourrait supporter sans se boucher les oreilles.

I am certainly not alone for whom Händel's Passacaglia is one of the most beautiful pieces all the time. I have listened to it millions of times, maybe from a hundreds of performers. But this arrangement is simply one big and heavenly beauty. The lightness, brisk tempo and slightly modern arrangement give this old melody incredible depth and a whole new dimension. Thank you very much for that.
So .. I will only comment on this post. Finally someone who knows how to treat the piano en respects the composers. You are one of few who really knows how to put emotions in to the Music. Doesnt play to hard of to fast. Or makes his own version and rapes the music. Plays as it was ment to be. It is a joy to my ears the way you play. You can teach a monkey to play… but it takes a human to put emotions in it. You got a new follower

To my ear, particularly in the upper register, this instrument is clearer and sweeter than even some of the best concert grands. I love seeing the key action in the video. Listen to the left hand. Masterful. Reminds me of Glen Gould’s stunning performance of the Brahms Intermezzo. Again the left hand is itself musical genius. That little triplet in the bass is magical.
« Passacaglia » is a musical genre practiced during the Baroque period and a dance just like the « Chaconne ». Originally imported by Spanish sailors, it became a dance prized by the nobility in Europe. At this stage of its evolution, it becomes almost indiscernible from the chaconne (nuances that have no place here) because the names seem interchangeable according to the composers. It is then a stylized piece, in three beats, with a slower rhythm, sometimes a little more solemn, and which can reach important proportions. The passacaglia, like the chaconne, is used exceptional in the suite of dances, of which it is almost always the final piece. On a musical level, around 1620, it became a piece with variations on an obstinate bass, a short harmonic pattern, of a few notes, repetitive, with a lively tempo, it is essentially music for keyboard, guitar, and sometimes used for singing. This musical form was equally intended for improvisation, the obstinate bass lending itself particularly well to it. Georg Friedrich Handel took this name and set it to music.
