@DrDaemon wanna talk about what they fight? Try orcs which are %90 muscle, Space elves that essentially have orgasms when causing pain, giant insect aliens, and ya know, demons. It comes down to them being super soldiers with super human strength speed and reflexes. Space marine armor can hold up against his weapon as well. It can take bolter rounds and potentially stop them. Bolter rounds may be .75 caliber but they are made of a dense metal and fire at higher speeds. Firing it without power armor would shatter your arm. (Guardsman bolters are less powerful because of this) Unless Gordon somehow gets enough power to arm wrestle a %90 muscle orc or run at 50-55 miler per hour (80-88 km/h) then he would lose.
@@singularity925 okay I know a guy who could do that and doesn't need power armor to fire a bolter with one hand who regularly beats demons to death with his bare hands. *Mick Gordon begins* the Doom Slayer!!!!
Dude, this guy has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. He doesn't know what those are. Edit: Totally thought you were talking about the Space marine Grav Gun and T'au rail gun. Woops.
I think Gordon's Pulse gun won't do much to a space Marine's armour cause it's not an organic target. Other than that the gravity gun could do something to the Space Marine.
Dont forget how powerful the gravity gun is when its super-charged. Id also point out that the extremely large ballistic profile of bolter rounds would make them vulnerable to being grabbed/punted away.
if gordon was to beat a space marine he'd likely have to use either his tau cannon or gluon gun more likely the tau cannon because its not a gauss gun its a handheld particle accelerator / cannon
@@svetochmira9994 as an emissary of the Old Ones, those who walked before and shall walk again, I can assure you, the Emperor would be swept away by their return.
Gordon would die on most situations, but he could win if he was wielding the Gluon gun, the Tau cannon, the RPG or the supercharged Gravity Gun. Having the long jump module would also better his odds a bit, helping him dash around
Him not wearing a helmet plays into the plot armor of 40k very well. I'd say it depends if the enemy space marine is named and if they wear a helmet or not.
In reality Gordon freeman has two thing over the space marine Being the main character and having ungodly amounts of plot armor that even the emperor doesn’t have A piece of wood that lets him break reality at any time
Also, bolters are like assault rifles that fire mini RPGs, and I think space Marines armor would be so thick, it acts as an inanimate object, thus blocking the charge shots
Keep in mind that Gordon possesses the Tau Cannon, which (presumably going by the name) fires Tau particles (negatively-charged subatomic particles that are more than twice as heavy as electrons) capable of penetrating most heavy materials, especially when the weapon is charged up. There's also the Gluon Gun, which is essentially a Proton Pack in all but name, capable to tearing apart even heavily-armoured targets by the atoms that make up their being.
Speaking in 40k. That’s an understatement. A space marines armor is so powerful it can withstand the pressure of literal space. And they fire as you said. Automatic tank shells. Don’t forget their chain swords that can literally cut through tank armor and the power swords that do the same. These guys are genetically modified to be human gods. Any imperfections were bread out of them. Gordon is a normal man with lots of toys. But the space marines kill demons. DEMONS! And hordes of them at a time. Without breaking a sweat. Gordon does not stand a chance in hell.
Yes. His armor can protect him from an RPG round. But my friend you know as well as I do, the Standard issue bolter is hitting with the same kind of energy. In a mag...
Yeah but Space Marines don't hit every single shot. Gordon is a fast agile target I think they'd run out of ammo for they actually get enough shots on him to bust his armor
I was about to say, bolters would shred through his hazard suit. Plus the pure ferociousness of a space marine is nuts. Glad we could agree on a winner
People act like the HEV suit is made of paper it’s basically Master Chief’s armor but instead of shields it uses reactive armor that causes a tiny explosion every time you “survive” a hit and yes it works with stuff like rpgs and grenades with mixed results
You forget that Freeman has like 200 IQ, so he's literally faster by being smarter, he also survived a resonance cascade at the site at ground zero, went into a literal alien transport home dimention thing, killed a giant god like alien thingie, put into stasis for 20 years, kicked the crap out of an alien race who, and this isn't a joke, defeated earth in 7 hours. He's a damn wrecking crew in one man
He's basically a Sly Marbo or Ciaphas Cain that went to Mars Adeptus Mechanicus University and passed on cyberization. He COULD win, but it would be a hard fight.
Suppose it depends on what you consider 40k canon too since it differers from author to author but I’d have to say the space marine for sake of reflexes
Given the pulse rifle can't even damage a strider, I really really really doubt it could even scratch a space marines ceramite armour which is essentially tank armour. Not to mention the H.E.V. can stop "a" RPG round, which wipes out all it's shielding, so I highly doubt it could withstand a rain of bolter rounds even, and that's just a basic marine loadout
The Gluon Gun would be alot more effective but there still wouldn't be any guarantee that it would get through the Marines armor before it killed Gordon.
@@waitholdonwhat28 the only reason I reject this idea is that we have a very limited capacity in what we can catch and reflect against the combine in game

It’s a good thing that space marine bolters are basically automatic rpg launchers.
The only way Gordon wins is if he has access to Source, since the physics of the material world don’t matter anymore once that happens.
So, essentially, Gordon is gonna get some good hits and damage in,
*Then get his shit fucking rocked.*
Sound about right?
Depends if its in an open field he is dead if free man can get the jump on the marine then the marine is dead meat
Although he could have his gravity gun pick up the Marines bullets midair to fire back.. given size and weight that actually seems like something he could do
@DrDaemon wanna talk about what they fight? Try orcs which are %90 muscle, Space elves that essentially have orgasms when causing pain, giant insect aliens, and ya know, demons.
It comes down to them being super soldiers with super human strength speed and reflexes.
Space marine armor can hold up against his weapon as well. It can take bolter rounds and potentially stop them.
Bolter rounds may be .75 caliber but they are made of a dense metal and fire at higher speeds. Firing it without power armor would shatter your arm. (Guardsman bolters are less powerful because of this)
Unless Gordon somehow gets enough power to arm wrestle a %90 muscle orc or run at 50-55 miler per hour (80-88 km/h) then he would lose.
@@singularity925 okay I know a guy who could do that and doesn't need power armor to fire a bolter with one hand who regularly beats demons to death with his bare hands. *Mick Gordon begins* the Doom Slayer!!!!

@@taylorledet3993 You're telling me bunny hopping is cannon? Really?
if gordon was to beat a space marine he'd likely have to use either his tau cannon
or gluon gun
more likely the tau cannon because its not a gauss gun its a handheld particle accelerator / cannon
A gluon gun destroys things at the sub atomic level. Literally separating protons and neutrons.
And Gordon can survive a overload with the Tau Cannon so he has more movement options for him.
As long as he's employed by the G-man's employers, Gordon can't lose. He just can't die.
And Space Marine has Emperor of Mankind on his side. No foul timeless warp demon like G-man can compare.

everybody gangsta until gordon opens the developer console
Gordon would die on most situations, but he could win if he was wielding the Gluon gun, the Tau cannon, the RPG or the supercharged Gravity Gun. Having the long jump module would also better his odds a bit, helping him dash around
Gordon would easily find an exploit to skip the fight or kill the space marine with the physics
Him not wearing a helmet plays into the plot armor of 40k very well. I'd say it depends if the enemy space marine is named and if they wear a helmet or not.
the designer himself says he wears a helmet
In reality Gordon freeman has two thing over the space marine
Being the main character and having ungodly amounts of plot armor that even the emperor doesn’t have
A piece of wood that lets him break reality at any time
We can’t forget how Gordon has a literal GOD manipulating the odds in his favor
Gordon can just open the console and turn on sv_cheats
The visual of gordon freeman standing atop a dead space marine, wielding their chainsword is incredible
Yes. His armor can protect him from an RPG round. But my friend you know as well as I do, the Standard issue bolter is hitting with the same kind of energy. In a mag...
More like in a single bullet. Boltors use giant exploding bullets as ammo.

*Laughs in gluon gun*
People act like the HEV suit is made of paper it’s basically Master Chief’s armor but instead of shields it uses reactive armor that causes a tiny explosion every time you “survive” a hit and yes it works with stuff like rpgs and grenades with mixed results
