Bride of the Gorilla (1951)

"Bride of the Gorilla" is a 1951 American horror film directed by Curt Siodmak. The story revolves around a plantation owner named Barney Chavez, played by Raymond Burr, who is in love with his beautiful young wife, Dina Van Gelder, portrayed by Barbara Payton. However, trouble arises when Barney becomes infatuated with a local native girl named Al-Long, played by Lon Chaney Jr.
When Barney's advances are rejected by Al-Long, he becomes enraged and murders her. However, he is cursed by the local witch doctor, who transforms him into a gorilla whenever the moon is full. As the killings by the gorilla increase, suspicion falls on Barney.
The situation becomes more complicated as Dina begins to suspect Barney's involvement in the murders. As the tension mounts, Dina and the plantation's doctor, Viet, played by Paul Cavanagh, try to unravel the mystery behind the killings and the curse that haunts Barney.
In a climactic showdown, Barney's fate hangs in the balance as he struggles to overcome the curse and prove his innocence. The film explores themes of jealousy, betrayal, and the consequences of giving in to primal desires, all set against the backdrop of the lush and dangerous jungle.

Yes!! I havent seen this in so many years!
This movie essentially has the premise that Curt Siodmak originally wrote for their Wolfman...Lon Chaney got to go back and star in the original storyline!

I love this movie very much, and Curtt Siodmak dose a great job of directing, him and his brother Robert are gifted with talent, apparently Lon Chaney Jnr and Ramond Burr, did not get on.
