    I have an RCF with trac pack and I never ever use the radio unless my kids are in back otherwise I drive with windows cracked and listen to the exhaust and rev matches when I slow down it’s definitely a therapeutic experience.

    I own a 2016 RCF Carbon fiber/TVD edition. The original MSRP back in 2015 was $84K brand new for mine. I purchased it in 2017 very mildly used. Inflation plus track edition put the MSRP in a better context. Even my RCF was overpriced and I understood it when I bought it, but the fit, finish, quality, TVD (on mine), amazing high-revving V8 etc. all make it totally worth it. Also, RCFs hold their value exceptionally well. Since my region has very few RCFs, my RCF's market value is more or less the same as what I paid for it 7+ years ago. So while RCF is overpriced, it makes up for it in very strong resale.

    Hey dont bitch abut that cd player, i still love playing a cd while im driving without paying a monthly subscription for music i already own. Its also infuriating that some manufacturers dont offer a cd player option or changer with easy access for drivers in new models, urgh , .Alot of my music collection is slowly being uploaded to digital format and phone flash drive 😢 Great video though. I totally agree with you that V8 5.0 RCF is a beast ! I would love it next to my 4runner in the garage. Happy Holidays looking foward to when you behind the wheel of the 24 GX 550 for your opinion on how it drives compared to the old bulletproof GX legend . 😃👍

    I love it. It’s not quite my kind of car (unless I win Mega Millions) but I can certainly appreciate its traditional approach in this age of tech this and feature that. Only thing I think could make it better would be a 6-speed manual.

    Normal RC F Premium Package for me, Track Edition is way overpriced plus it loses out some of the features like ventilated seats and steering wheel. Carbon Ceramic brakes on this are monstrous and they cost 20K. The Titanium mufflers are freaking 40K !! You can add those and Carbon hood, spoilers, rocker panels to the regular RC F but the cost is mad. All in all too expensive, only a collectors car, RC F TE.

  • @2URLex
    @2URLex 10 месяцев назад +3

    It’s got Porsche Carbon Ceramics which are 15k, the titanium exhaust are listed as 20k for EACH side, the roof and hood are like 14k each and I can name more lol I have the first gen performance Carbon which is now 8 years old and drives like new. I’d buy the track edition and not look back but I need the 550.

  • @Twisted_Biscuit

    This definitely looks outdated and over priced. It's ridiculous that a track car would have rear seats installed and no roll cage. They're trying to turn this car into something its not.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 10 месяцев назад

      @@DoctorGaga87 plenty of cars take time to develop a following and potentially appreciate in value. Not saying this is guaranteed to be one, but it’ll take a decade or two before we’ll truly know. I know I missed the boat getting in on an NSX or an e30 M3 when they had near rock bottom prices. Now I can only dream of affording one.

    Well worth it. You're buying this car because you want a hybrid GT aka the best-performing RCF that can do an insane track day and drive home without hearing the engine. This car is insanely underrated and just a rawest form of the 2URGSE and also the fastest variant of it with it currently. Former M car owner love the TE it was the only RCF I would buy due to weight and the highest performing car variant they sell. Being overpriced is a personal finance issue. If you think its too much than you should look at something more affordable, it has nothing to do with their price point since its the cheapest car you can get with Carbon ceramic brakes. Best car I have owned in a long long time. If you look at the normal price points of a top of the line RCF this is well within normal. I think people buy too many used cars and may not understand that a high end RCF is not 65k LOL. It's more 80-85K ..this package being the highest end of the RCF is not that much above it.

    Now why would they put a V8 in a car and not the Tundra or at least an option for it? I dunno about this current group of people now running this company, they are really off the rails on this one (personally speaking). Thanks for the run down JON, great looking car. :)

    • @ggthx
      @ggthx 10 месяцев назад +1

      Um what? You do know that this is the 2UR 5.0 V8 that was co-developed with Yamaha( No truck had thus engine, this was only for their sports/gt cars). Also the RCF is still sitting on the same old platform from years back. IF they decide to bring this back, which I don't think the RC is coming back at all it will be hybrid or full ev..

    • @nightcrawleroriginal
      @nightcrawleroriginal 10 месяцев назад +1

       @@ggthx I think you missed my point, they have a V8 as standard equipment with this Lexus but not even an option for the Tundra that needs it most so what's wrong with this picture is my point. A V8 in a 4000 lb car but not in a 6000 Truck? Thanks for the reply just the same, nice looking Lexus I must say though it's well designed (personally speaking). :)

    • @ggthx
      @ggthx 10 месяцев назад +1

      @nightcrawleroriginal Still missing the point 👉. It's ok you'll get there...here's a hint it is a high performance v8 that is ONLY for LEXUS sports/gt cars. It is also old now and Toyita has no intentions of updating it due to stricter emissions laws. Yes...good day indeed....heh.

    • @nightcrawleroriginal
      @nightcrawleroriginal 10 месяцев назад

      @@ggthx Lets get one thing clear here smart ass, I don't need to get anywhere ok, if they have a V8 for Lexus (which Toyota owns/Exclusive or not) then they can certainly have a V8 option for the Tundra is my point and "I'm Sure" you will want to have the last word but these are my last words to you. Good Day.

    Super outdated design. It never matched up to its intended competition either. There are cheaper "Raw" V8s which consumers knew too...The new IS is freaking gorgeous. They should just do the RCF in a 4 door and make sure it can actually compete with the m3 and RS5.

    • @lostalx
      @lostalx 8 месяцев назад

      IS is good but its no RC F. RC F is used in IMSA Weathertech GTD Class, they use 2015 RC F model for their GT3 car, and they won a number of races. Not GS F nor LC nor IS 500 but RC F, how ? It's built from ground up as a Racing Coupe and a track born car unlike all other Lexus cars barring LFA. Also IS 500 has a bumper sag issue. The chassis is not reinforced for the 2UR GSE V8 beast. I'm just thinking to trade in my IS 500 for an RC F. This is the last F car. Once Lexus has a new GT3 Race car in 2026 RC F and 2UR GSE will be retired completely. LC 500, IS 500, RC F all will be discontinued.

    Nice, but there are so many great cars at the $100k range. I'd get a used certified 911. This thing is too boy racer. Probably why it didnt sell well. Only older people can afford it and they want a more understated, mature sports car.
