Thanks for the video Ian . I`ve found towing a trailer with my sidecar outfit to be awesome . Most important thing to me is being able to pull up or slow down in control . My trailer isn`t braked but I manage fine . I`m a plodder when cruising , dog likes it better too . ( 95 - 100 kph ) Trailer allows me to cart all the extra stuff whether shopping or camping . And yet still ride a motorbike . Dog understands that bit . Like you I started riding in the 60`s in the SA outback , a good place to learn . Keep the videos coming .
I am fortunate to have a 22 Spyder RTL. This makes pulling a trailer much more easy than a 2 wheel bike. I have also pulled a lot of trailers with pickup trucks.
Very nice tips ! Interesting as playing with the solar power fridge . Just ordered a 12vdc to 12 vdc 9 amp charger to try using alternator power while riding and then switch to solar. The solar seems to be not worth the headaches . Maybe keep it installed as emergency backup system for hurricane season not sure. Have a Tupui RTT mounted on a USA trailer XL trailer unfortunately found after fact trailer is MIC . Any experience with using alternator to power LIPO4 batteries with 12-12/9amp charger . So from reading the 9 amp victron main purpose is to not allow the Lithium batteries to take an overloading draw on the alternator and smoke it.
Thanks for the insight, really helpful. I’ve noticed that when most people get a remote microphone they use it as a lapel microphone. The problem is it picks up throat sounds (swallowing) louder than the voice which is reflected off walls and gives an echo. I wonder if sitting it in front of you, next to the phone would be better? I’ve seen cheep directional microphones used for podcasts, ( Bikerbits ). Cheers, I’m an Ian with a roadking too.
Hi Just interested in running this pass you. I'm looking at buy or building a teardrop trailer to tow behind my Goldwing. I'm interested in figuring out how riders see around the trailer considering that most are much wider than the bike mirrors. The trailer maybe 4 or 5 feet wide so the 2 methods I've heard of, are a camera system with it on the back of the trailer or something like car add on mirrors when a car is towing a caravan. Thanks
Hands down the best looking trailer setup I have seen! Love this! 👊🤙
Scale is genius to pack!!
That was a good tip about the tyre rating and speed for the tyre.

Because the trailer is low and not that wide, stock mirrors are fine.

good microphone but how unpleasant to listen to every time you salivate...relax
Into is way too long
