Thanks for watching, and good question! Yakima does not officially recommend fitting a BaseLine Rack System with a rooftop tent. This is the case for most, if not all clamp on rack systems unfortunately.
We hear it occasionally. The common fix is that most folks have neglected to fully tighten the top bolt on the inside of the tower, that bolt makes the clip press in on the door jam. The process to properly tighten the clips is to tighten that top bolt first until its resting on the lip of the door jam, not fully tight. Next tighten the bottom bolt until the clip is loosely fitted in place on the door jam. From there fully tighten the top bolt, then the bottom bolt. That process should prevent this issue.
In the case for this vehicle the sunroof does work, as is the case for majority of sunroofs out there with this crossbar setup. The most common sunroof interference issue lies with sunroofs that take up the whole width of the roof with glass right up the edges. If your vehicle has this style of sunroof it's very likely it will not work. This information can be found in Yakima's Fit Lookup. my baseclips keep riding up my doorframe and coming off. Is this a common issue?
