    Thanks for your insight, Dan. 👍 The customization options are insane; guess at my level of driving I’m good with what my Sprints offer. None the less, the R7 look like something from the future… 😍 I appreciate the build quality as well. The side plates to hold the foot in place I really dig.👏 have a relaxed Sunday! 👋

    I have the same issue as you with the throttle pedal, my foot is always turned ouwards, this came from the need to get my super large feet in real cars. I have been looking for a bracket to attach to my pedal but know joy, sop I will have to make one.

    I had the exact same issue as you explained Dan with the throttle pedal foot position. I would slip off the pedal within minutes of racing, especially in the heat of battle. I have the HE Pro pedals and put an HRS throttle pedal plate support on. It's without doubt the best upgrade i have made to my sim setup. Never mind all the wheels i have, DD motor i use, that throttle plate is the best and so comfortable now. I think it was around £30 or so. Was it worth it? oh yes, the cheapest upgrade i have ever done.

    With your foot angle, could you try spreading the pedals apart? Like I have a cheap old Fanatec CSR pedal set with 3 pedals. I moved the clutch to the middle so my brake is on the left. This was much more comfortable for me as it has my feet closer to hip width apart. Aside from the problems of squishing your balls, I really don't think it's good for your knees and ankles in the long run to spend hours with your feet so close together. I know I used to get sore knees when I had the pedals together. With the more karting like arrangement it is no problem no matter how long I drive. Just thinking you drive far more than I do so maybe you could also benefit

    • @vsm1456
      @vsm1456 Год назад +1

      Same, I moved my brake and throttle pedals further apart because I like that better. Interesting to find someone else who does that too.

    Compaired to the TM T LCM pedals .
    Are both the throttle and break better ?
    I have some issues with my feet .
    I can't feel parts of my feet after spinal infection .
    So having my feel locked in to 1 position would greatly help me be consistent and push with my legs the same every time.
    I am building a high end rig so I am super interested in these pedals.
    I need a solid stiffer throttle pedal.
    The T LCM pedals feel way to soft.

      Hi Mr J, Timo from SIMGRADE° here - hopefully you don't mind me commenting also. Even if I'm biased as the designer of the pedals, I can assure you the comparison here is very easy, yes these will be a major step up in both, throttle and brake. One of the nicest things with these pedals is that your feet will never slide on the pedals so no need to "correct" the positioning at all during driving, you can just relax your feet and fully concentrate on pressing the pedal. Also no need to keep you foot in the air while braking (to mitigate the ball of your foot sliding on the pedal face), you'll avoid all extra tensioning of the hip muscles etc.
      Also a good thing to remember, these are also designed to work very well in inverted position, and then they will work as "normal pedals" - just one thing I wanted to add as it could be important to some.
      As Dan Mentions on the video, you're guaranteed to get the throttle as stiff as you want (same of course goes with the brake).
      Hope this was helpful,
      Br. Timo

      @@kosketi81 As a proud owner of a set of R7 pedals for two years now, I can wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone I talk to about sim racing. Addressing mrJ's issue; i can tell you that I have owned the TLCM pedals a while back and the R7 is light years beyond them. I have also had 7 back surgeries and have similar foot sensory problems as you. The R7 pedals are the ONLY pedals that i found to use without ANY of the pain I used to suffer from during racing. Because of the lack of thought put into ergonomics and body mechanics by most sim pedal makers I though pain was just something I had to deal with. However, when I started using the R7 pedals I almost cried because I was so happy to finally feel totally comfortable in my rig. All of the hip, lower back and knee pain I used to feel during a race were absolutely gone! The team at SimGrade have done a beautiful job with these pedals and they are an absolute masterpiece in engineering.

    8:10 I feel like this is often overlooked by most simracers. Having the ability to have a certain force required to get an output as well as how much pedal travel that equates to is a really important customizable element that I wish more pedal sets would have. Personally like a really heavy duty load cell that allows me to have a large amount of force to get a desired output but in traditional pedal sets, that almost always limits the pedal's travel.
    These are cheaper than those new active simucube pedals so that's a plus...but these are still a bit pricey for my tastes.

  • @justinhill9915
    @justinhill9915 6 месяцев назад

    I have gone through about 10 different sets of pedals since getting into sim racing and trying to replicate that real car feel. I finally gave these simgrade R7 pedals a shot about 2 years ago and I can honestly say it is the ONLY part of m rig that I haven't messed with since i installed them and found the perfect setup/ergonomics for me. They are a little expensive but they feel better that any other pedals I have used, including hydraulic! Rock solid and TONS of adjustability to give you the feel like they are an extension of your feet. Just buy them and you WILL be happy.😀

      Damn that's heavy praise. I'm thinking of buying the R7's but I'm not sure how different they'd be in terms of feel to the only other pedals I've tried, Simagic P1000i with hydraulic brake and the VRS pedals. Have you tried those two pedals before man?

      @justinhill9915 6 месяцев назад +1

      @routev1485 I've used all of the thrustmaster and Fanatec pedals and the Heusinkveld sprints and ultimate's and the simgrade R7 are so much more comfortable and therefore consistent by far. You will love them!

    How stiff is the throttle and break pedal in comparison to the Heusinkveld ultimate+ pedals ?

    • @kosketi81
      @kosketi81 Год назад +2

      I hope you allow me to answer you, as it's quite an easy question to answer - you don't actually even need to compare to any other existing pedal set. The throttle can be set from zero resistance to such a high level you really can not use - so it's basically guaranteed that you'll find a good fit for yourself. And I think Dan made a good comment on it on the video also.
      And also the brake can be adjusted in terms of travel from zero to as long as the throttle (which is too much for anyone really). In terms of force it can go up to about 130kg's with the Advanced Brake kit 2.0 - although I would not really recommend anyone to use that high of a brake force - the optimum is usually in the range of 80kg - 95kg. Anything more will most probably get you too worn out during longer races thus dropping the performance towards the end of the race. But obviously all is subjective and some want to use and even need to use higher pedal forces to get the best feeling / immersion (which is of course all good) - in the end the main thing is the level of control and feel what we are aiming for - Dan using less pedal force than usually is a sign of exactly the thing we have been after with the R7's - to give the "same" control with less pedal force (than usually he/she needs) as that will pay off in the longer races. For sure, you can ramp up the pedal forces (+95kg) if you want, but is it the wisest thing you can do? Sometimes less is more - especially in the longer races.

    • @DanSuzuki
      @DanSuzuki  Год назад +2

      Less is more? ruclips.net/video/QHZ48AE3TOI/видео.html
