Another beautiful cake! 💞👍🏼 Will it be the same for a black drip, using the black candy melts? Or do I need to add anything to it? Also can I pour a drip to a gold painted buttercream cake? Thank you for sharing.
Sorry, last questions:/ you said you added water to the melted chocolate. Is it cold or hot water? And can I add heavy cream instead? Please and Thank you again.
Half a cup of white candy melts melted in the microwave at 30 second intervals and then thin it out with about 5 tablespoons of boiling water until you get a dripping consistency. You can also use vegetable oil to thin it out. Thanks for watching.
Awww....thanks so much! A few tips are: start out with cold and firm cakes as they are easier to ice without getting too much crumbs. You can freeze them for about an hour or even longer. The icing should be smooth and creamy with no air bubbles. Also, the consistency should be spreadable, not too thick. Apply a thin layer of icing or crumb coat and chill the cake in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or in the freezer for 10 minutes before applying the final coating of icing. Some tools that will also help you get smooth buttercream cakes are a turntable and a cake smoother or bench scraper. Hope this helps.
@@laurasirresistibletreats. thank you! I’ll wait for my cakes to completely cool and wrap them and place them in the freezer for 30-60 minutes. Once I crumb coat I will put back in the freezer before final coat. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tips!
@@laurasirresistibletreats. it worked! I also put it back in the freezer for 20 minutes after the final coat and use a bench scraper to get a smoother finish. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I use half a cup of white candy melts and about 5 tablespoons of jot water. Melt the candy melts in the microwave at 30-second intervals and add the water, a tablespoon at a time till you achieve a dripping consistency. Let it cool down before putting it on the cake.
How did you add water to candy melts that doesn’t make any sense? If you add water you will ruin the melts
That's what I did, and it worked......always has (for me anyways).
I missed mentioning that it's hot water. It further melts the candy melts and thins them out to a dripping consistency.
Thank you so much for the thinning out tip 😊
You're welcome, and thanks for watching and commenting!

Beautiful cake ! What brand of food coloring did you use to get that color ?
I used Chefmaster gel food coloring, deep pink. Thanks so much for watching. 💕

Yes, black candy melts would work the same. For the gold painted cake, just let the paint dry before you add the drips. Hope that helps.
Yes it does help I appreciate it🙏🏼
Glad to hear!

I added hot water to thin it out a bit cause it was too thick. I've not tried using heavy cream for candy melts, but I use it for chocolate.
It seem like when I make my icing spreadable and thin you can still see through the cake! Any suggestions or tips
You could try adding another coating of icing on the cake. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful cake!🥰
Thank you so much!💕
