1. Its so nice seeing a big streamer actually take the time to "play it right", takin it slow lurking for traders landing, instead of being paranoid about "is chat having fun every microsecond of action?".
2. Also nice to see his first "real" pvp kill. The thing about this game is that the skill ceiling is fucking lightyears high. There's never a point where you feel like "i'm pro now, i know it all, im the best at X Y Z". The game is so complex that there's ALWAYS some little thing you suck at or forgot, in any given fight, no matter if you have 8 years in this game.
And thats a damn good thing, thats what made me love Planetside 2 (as a pilot, doing low flying ground support).
No matter how good i got, there was an infinity left to perfect in terms of my flying, combat, etc.
I spent HOURS just flying low practicing, between fights.
Same for Star Citizen. It never gets old for me.
I get the feeling you flew Valkyries in PS2... Nice to meet another in the wild.
He doesn't need to care about what the chat wants when he has +10k watching.
true i show sc to alot of my friends but they are just dumb and dont know how big this game is going to be and most gamers are hype gamers so they just follow what the hype is

Yeah I think summit is super lucky in that aspect where he has acquired the right viewerbase after thousands of hours of Sea of Thieves, everyone knows "Summit tucking is golden content, we will wait for it"

It is, I can't imagine how sick it will be when 4.0 comes out (Q3 this year) and server meshing 1.0 is implemented, out with the server lag and better performance then they will start creating a better gameplay loop.

This is the strengths of this game. You have this massive sandbox with tons of gameplay loops where everything can happen. And it captures the intensity of the old DayZ mod where if you died, you loose everything. But this takes it 100x longer cause the ships themselves are sim based, fps combat is almost like Tarkov with the recent patch and everything is physics based as well, so when Summit's ship in the end there is severly damaged, its not just a HUD that shows he is damaged. The components of the ship is actually damaged and acts accordingly. Love it!
Nah it's not as intense as dayZ in the sense where if you die you lose everything, because you don't lose EVERYTHING in sc. Unlike dayZ where you might lose a couple days of straight progress.
@@baldmista1907 But you do though, you loose all your equipped items, all your suits. All this stuff costs money. In DayZ you could easily just go 1 minute to a house and loot, but loot is way more rare in Star Citizen. So it definetely hurts.

@@Avean the financial system in the game is completely broken. If you do some basic meta missions and loot ships you will have millions in a few days and money stops being relevant along with dying
that last move is called a J-hook and definately looked like he was about to land a Heli. Cool that the ships work like a plane and a Heli as well!

Just wanted to say watching summit has gotten me to purchase and play SC now. As someone who’s only heard of it a long time ago and never really looked into it and then the slop of Starfield this is exactly what I needed
just prepare yourself with a buggy game, its in alpha, lots of things are happening simultaneously. Just research about the work arounds, theres so many, but just set your expectations to: this game is buggy, because its still being made. As well as; this game is the most ambitious one there is in the market.

Yeah after a decade we're finally getting toward the end of development and the game is actually starting to feel like a game.

The funding blew past (Chris's) initial expectations, but he had always hoped to make something greater, saw the opportunity, and asked the community if we wanted more, we agreed with our cash, he kept asking, we kept paying, and they have been delivering as promised. Don't blame CIG or Chris for feature creep, or asking for $, blame us, the gamers.

Shit I’ve already had a log in error after 2 days and lost my character but just made a new one and kept on going then upgraded to a bigger ship.
Still trying to figure everything out tho I’m pretty lost but enjoying every second of it

@@Psycorde That's what a maneuver kill is. You break the op's ankles so bad they get turned into road pizza by gravity, a tree, a cliff, whatever.
I'm pretty sure that wasn't possible if he had both wings.

0:55 - you can keybind it so doors / elevators open from the cockpit, some people are getting used to pressing that first before landing so that there is a quick exit to start
Love seeing summit play this game. Cant imagine how much better this would be with server meshing and massive servers with lots of people, cause i know this man probably took 8+ hours to get just this video probably longer lmao
4.0 with server meshing, Pyro and more confirmed for the next major patch release aiming for Q3 this year (likely be more like Q4 but nothing wrong with that) crazy times

Second ship (Titan) left their engines on and were in coupled mode, so any change in wind the ship was trying to correct itself

If anyone is looking to get into Star Citizen after watching Summit play it: As someone who has been following the project for 10 years, wait until winter to play this game. Of course you can play it now if you really want to, but there are so many things that are getting updated, changed, and added to the game with the next 4.0 patch. Your first time experience will be so much better.

Its the best feeling after completing say a mining mission and you have all the loot on you and you land in the hanger and you just know ur safe :) Love this game
They should drastically increase the railgun damage. Turn it into distortion damage and decrease the projectile speed so its harder to hit and easier for pilots to dodge.
Getting that guy with a maneuver kill after having his ass handed to him by a ship at least two generations more advanced is fairly classic Summit.

So first off I would like to thank you Summit for the validation. I said this played like Sea of Thieves and got absolutely ROASTED for that comment in the last video. I stand by my comment and here you are playing Sea of Thieves in space and Summit said what I was thinking, So all you knuckleheads can suck it. Yes I know there is more to it and just like SoT there are missions and trade routes. I don't know why that comment was so hated but I like SoT style game play. Its these kinds of videos that are going to attract more players and motivate the devs more. I'm a huge sci-fi guy and all that is currently out there is a bunch of weeb crap that I am sick of.

Summit I think you need to use your decoys and noise counters more when a missile is fired at you I dont think i saw you use any of those and maybe put more of your ships power between shields and guns so you have a faster reload timer and regen on the shields
Damn fine flying, you have a long way to go but for a new player, you are almost as good as my dogfighting level. I could never get the hang of it.
Really got me thinking about reinstalling SC. I take long breaks but keep up with development. 😂

dont mix slow and fast projectile weapons on your gladius, you have two cannons and 1 repeater, make them all 3 repeaters, or if you really like slow weapons 3 cannons

Whats so satisfying with Bounty Hunting players, its all fair game. They have a big ship? Prepare for it. They going to an advantageous place? Adapt. Its the best because Star Citizen caters to all options.
it's a lot more satisfying now with master modes cause everyone isn't zipping around having joust fights at 1000 ms. Especially in atmo, dogfights actually feel impactful.
if this game had base building and raiding it would be 1000x more popular
Its getting base building and the new distribution centers are intended to be raid locations down the line.

Where is the first spot in the verse? Doesn't look familiar. BTW the fact your first bounty was an anvil arrow and you beat it with a gladius is pretty damn good and you messed up the 2nd one by not using flares that dude hit you with a few missiles.

Is Star Citizen worth getting back into? I have a couple ships and squadron 42.
As an active player, my advice would be to wait til q4 of this year. There's a pretty solid chance we'll have server meshing by then which should fix the server performance issues. Right now you only really see the game shine when you find a low pop server. When there's 50 people or less on a server, it's like fkn magic. Game plays like it does in all the trailers. Controls and interactions are responsive and fluid. Enemy npcs are a significant threat flanking you, pushing your position, and even sniping you now. But on full 100 person servers you can feel the hit to the server fps. Game is still fun but the jank can be bothersome and on rare occasions game breaking. I would highly recommend that if you decide to pick the game back up, you try to find a low pop server to join. Good tactic is to have a robust friends list to hopefully join on someone whose already in a good server. Otherwise, give it just a few more months.
