- Zach & Leala designed this unique and beautiful 24-foot long tiny house and built it from paycheque to paycheque, as well as with gifts of time and materials from family and friends. Their dream tiny house has an efficient u-shaped kitchen, a living room with a real couch and loads of storage, a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and a combo washer-dryer, a private loft sleeping space, an open-concept tv lounge loft, and a storage staircase that makes the bed accessible for their two dogs!

The 200 square foot tiny home on wheels is sitting on a 4-foot tall platform because it's currently parked in a floodplain. The deck gives them loads of extra outdoor living space and it's nicely shaded with a large sloping metal overhang.
The house is plugged onto the grid for electricity and water, and they also have propane for their stove and water heater. It cost them approximately $40,000 CAD to build the house, including the appliances but not including the deck and the overhang.

May I ask on wood painted on outside? Type of wood and how did you & type of paint? Beautiful home! Love all of it.

@@lakeerie5857 Hello! We used Sansin Enviro Stain on the outside, the clear coat and a red reddish colour was called Calico. For the blue/grey colour we used Eco Stain. The wood is western red cedar T&G

@@gracestepanova6473 hello! Our house is about 11,500 lbs and yes, we moved it when we drove from Vancouver island and took it on a ferry. About 5 hours of travel! We also had a crane lift it onto the platform it’s on now too! Lol we do have plans to move it one day if we get land elsewhere. That’s the beauty of it, a permanent home no matter where you are! 🧡
The shabby chic/farmhouse style is lovely and cozy. I totally agree about needing a bath tub.
Kind of an easy fix with the new use of once only used as farm feed/bath tubs. Or put one outside. Hot tub? Seems like there's always a fix. I agree on the style. It doesn't ever looked dated. She got her tub. Haha nice
Happy that the bath space is NOT in your kitchen...One of the major things for me when I create my T-space that the Kitchen and bathroom are not only separate but a distance from one another...and totally agree about the Tub...

I’m sure I’ve watched 1,000+ tiny home videos but this by far is the best one I’ve seen yet. The interior, the details of the exterior, the layout-every part of it. I love that privacy/safety wall in your loft bedroom. The tv room is so perfectly fun and cozy up there. The bathroom, the kitchen-EVERYTHING! There are so many features that are important to me and exactly what I would want to have in my tiny home some day. Thank you for sharing this.

Me too, and I also loved how they talked about the impact on their lives at the end and how it helped them live according to their principles.
I think this way of living focused on simplicity and sustainability is going to become much more normal with the new generations, especially after Covid. I really hope I can try a tiny house in the future here in Spain!

There is a lot to like in this video. An attractive couple who seem to enjoy each other's company, a cozy home with interesting touches, lots of smiles, contagious, thoughtful enthusiasm, and nice pets. If the tour rocks, it helps to have a handsome guy in white socks.

I love how your counters and how you repurposed wood from a tree that had already fallen. Repurposed wood is beautiful! It gives character to the home. A deep sink is a must. The sofa one of the best I have seen
I absolutely love your Tiny Home! It is Beautiful! I’m 64yrs old and I purchased and have lived full time in a 1980 34V Avion Travel Trailer in 2015, so going on 6yrs now. The Insulation has to be totally flat in it by now, and I’ve been looking at the Rockwool insulation online. It really stands up to fire and water damage! I do want to have Closed Cell Spray Foam put in the under belly of my trailer for warmth and any small creature that tries to worm its way into my living space. You both have done a wonderfully fine job in building and creating a Tiny Home that works for the lifestyles you love! I’m planning on living in my Avion as long as I can. I have found that new flat cardboard shipping boxes from Walmart backed with just a one nice styrofoam placed in your door way will keep out lot’s of cold! You can do the bottom half or all of the glass door and remove it during the days that are not so cold. T works for me. I wish you two the very best in your Tiny Life together!

Love their beautiful home, their vegan lifestyle, which I share, and their adorable dogs! Pretty sweet life, and they aren't paying exorbitant rent prices in the city. Must add, their bathroom is lovely and so nice for a tiny house.

Awesome for me its the first time i find a tiny house couple so in sync and calm and making a commitment to it being their forever house. I really like that and do not see any reason for them to ever leave that beautiful space which seems to be a fused extention of both of them. Seamless.

I too want to go tiny. As I get older, I don't want to struggle with keeping a roof over my head. Especially with apartment rents going up each year. I have been downsizing alot with my things especially now during COVID pandemic with being home all the time.

I love the shape of the kitchen - I'm not a fan of gallery kitchens. The gallery kitchens are beautiful but seem to take up too much space when I look at them. Their home looks homey/cozy and modern at the same time.

Really like the rustic farmhouse feel to the home. And by keeping everything light it feels bigger and airier. For me, I would think that as one got older, the ladder to access the TV area, as well as not being able to stand in either loft space could prove difficult. But for their age it's not really a concern. But it is a lovely home.

I want ur house, & ur dogs. U have the perfect tiny house & location. The only 2 things I would do different, 4 myself, is have vaulted ceilings over both lofts & take out the tub & put in a shower. My son & I could definitely live in this tiny house. I even luv the entrance, the stairs coming in & going out. So exciting!
