  • In this video, I illustrate the methods used to convert the standard 5F/3R speed selector on the Watersnake Venom 12V 34lb thrust trolling motor to a wireless remote ESC (Electronic Speed Control) mounted in the head unit. I also shortened the shaft to 27" for use with a kayak. I go into greater detail with the ESC programming and Wireless Controller, in addition to the Shortened Shaft in the related videos.

    Great video as always. I am going to use your video this season to mount my trolling motor. Just curious about the hand held controls if they get wet what happens.

    Love this. What's the best way to raise\lower the watersnake as well? It's got that weird push fitting to lock position. Raise lower vertically isn't an option as using steering cables. Hmm

    Hey can I run these on separate trolling motors? I run dual watersnakes but I only want them to go forward and reverse since I steer with the rear rudder.

      Yes. I have videos with dual Watersnake T24s and another with Dual MK 30lbers.

    I noticed that there are more than one feature on your hand held remote speed controller. You've only used it for forward and backward thrust. Am wandering if there are other hand held controllers you can recommend with features which include only the on/off, forward and reverse variable thrust?

    Does the control box need holes for air so the esc can cool off?

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  10 месяцев назад

      No, it is mounted in the head where the stock switch would be. It is not airtight.
