@@justsomeguywithgreenhair it’s gonna be intense I know it, I suspect pretty dark at times as well if they trudge into any of the things the Fatui Have been doing there with regard to the plague and Sumeru’s children.
@@TeyvatHistoria If the Fatui are involved in the main story, which I'm sure they are, then of course a callback to the manga would be made. We'll most likely meet Collei too and our connection with Amber and the Knights would probably make her help us at some point. Ngl I'm really excited for Sumeru. Let's see when it drops. Also, I'm glad you're being frequent with your lore and theory uploads. I absolutely love hearing you putting things together and theorizing. Just don't overdo yourself, take your time is it's necessary.
"There is a push for folly, Yet the god of wisdom makes no argument against it." maybe the god of wisdom doesnt argue against it because they WANT the push for foolishness, they don't want the truth to get out. Because if the truth did get out, conflict would start. So the said folly is perceived as the truth by the people, even though it really isn't. The god of wisdom is just making it seem like that, so the god doesn't argue against it. And when he said, "the oasis of knowledge is a mirage in the desert of ignorance." Again, the seemingly oasis of knowledge that the people believe is just a MIRAGE. Probably hinting that the said "oasis of knowlegde" is just an illusion or kinda like a lie of some sort, most likely created by the god of wisdom. And for the desert of ignorance part, well. We can also say that if sumeru is labeled as "The desert of *ignorance*" it must mean that the god of wisdom is LYING to its people. Sumeru is the nation known for its knowledge, but now it's labeled as the desert of ignorance? The god of wisdom knows the truth in something very important, yet its people know little to no knowledge about that said topic. But the "desert of ignorance" part is something I'm still trying to figure out.
I was thinking, they like comparing archons to slimes. if that's the case, I think kusinali will be killed. there's a theory that kusinali is not real archon so, to kill a dendro slime you need to burn its flower to reveal itself then I think kusinali is representing the flower. killing kusinal will reveal the real dendro archon. that's my thought. what do you think?
I agree, she's not the real archon but a copy or sappling, she is a part of them but she's not the same without them, like she's weak now and handling the things for the real archon until they finish their own matters and take the throne again
This is almost certainly the case, if you recall all the researching Sumerian NPCs we've encountered. The ones that believe in and research BS get encouraged and supported in their research (like Kaushik), whereas those that research into dangerous topics like the Irminsul fruits are under much more pressure to discourage them from continuing (like Hosseini).
If the theory of the 7 nations goung through a cycle of destruction and recreation is correct could it be possible that all the nations who have 2 nd gen Archon have been destroyed and recreated alongside their Archon's dEath and the choosing of a new Archon?
@@Ren_rz Still even if we talk pre-Khaenriah I think there would be information about such cataclysms in archons era due to archon change because only Anemo archon never changed (well Rex lapis only "died" recently aswell). Destruction of a whole nation while other nations are alright would definitely be documented.
Honestly if the idea of "truth and lie" is actually the plot of Sumeru and they don't mess it up in the end I would say the archon quest for Sumeru will be my top favorite out of the current quests in previous regions.
I think Collei will be a *big* key character in the Sumeru storyline. Not only because right now she's most likely uncer Cyno's wing, but also the archon residue sealed inside her and how the Fatui used her and other kids for that. On god, the archon residue seems like a big topic to touch upon, which is why I think we ended up in the delusion factory in Inazuma, as a way to make a crack on that shell before opening it. Looking back, it seems that way to me.
Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put tomatoes in a fruit salad. Charisma is being able to sell a tomato-based fruit salad.
this whole theme of being kept in the dark always reminds me of Ella Musk. She's literally trying to communicate with hilichurls about their history. My gut feeling says that is probably not a good thing to do.
I think your explanation of Dainslief's comment on the affairs of Sumeru is very clear and spot on, and the primary conflict in my opinion between the traveler and the archon will be the debate of "Is ignorance and inaction really the solution?" I believe that its what they can do for now, but like all things its but a temporary solution that doesn't solve the root of the problem. Because even if Kusanali can keep them ignorant now, nothing lasts forever and eventually someone will do something even if its in vain. And there is irrefutable proof that Gods are not as powerful and omnipresent as we fear them to be, they just simply hold more knowledge and power and prevent those under them from learning the truth of their vaunerabilities. Similar to how a dictator rules, all that is required to take them down is to unify against them. Do nothing and the cycle will continue.
The only mistake in this video so far is 'purana' actually is name of religious book in Hinduism. And I think it suits better since it says 'pages of purana' referring as its a book.
let it be known that Kusanali is very likely to represent the one trait the Dendro Slime has: cowardice. its almost certain, Kusanali does nothing against that push for folly because she's well aware that its better to know nothing than to stand up against Celestia, which in a sense, is the coward's way out compared to the Tsaritsa.
Truth amongst the pages of purana is probably gonna have a huge lore dump. One that will directly come from someone incredibly familiar with the atrocities of Celestia. My guess? The Dendro Archon.
Also a bit unrelated but i think i accidentally came across the actual quote from which the Sumeru Dainsleif quote was referenced from Maybe It's like " Our knowledge is a receding Mirage in the ever expanding desert of ignorance" Could just be a coincidence
I have once seen a video theorizing that Lesser Lord Kusanali might not be the Dendro archon at all, but just an impersonator, who basicly crowned himself after the cataclysm, in which the actual archon (most likely Baizhu), got heavily wounded and is not able to do his duties as the archon. As evidence it lists like the fact that Kusanali is the god of flowers, but not of Dendro (Tree), the weird title, Baizhu's character design and name and some real world similarities. Since then I can not forget this theory and am heavily believing in it.
While I don’t have any proof one way or the other ofc, I tend to shy away from concepts that are supported simply because we only have one known dendro character. (Baizhu). Basically we assume that it could only be him since we have no other dendro characters but suddenly when you have others it gets a lot murkier.
@@TeyvatHistoria I understand that you are skeptical. I myself think most theories out there are unlikely, cause they have little to nothing supporting them. It is a shame that I can not find that video again, but let me tell you, the theory was really well supported. If I find it I share the link.
@Robin Sailo Ooh, now I understand. I do know slime theory, which also states that the dendro archon is hiding, but I did not think it says where he is hiding. Good point.
I also want to add the villain of the arc, probably Dottore, fits in perfectly with this. A man hell bent on research that actively ignores any ethical issues that arises from his work. Dangers of acquiring knowledge, willfully ignored. He is the extreme of the flaws within Sumeru.
I guess this is why we've seen people from Sumeru have us testing things that will help to build newer things: easier to research how best to use already made items in new ways that it would be to make new items.
For some reason i remembered a saying from a joke i saw on the internet "knowledge is knowing that tomatos are fruit wisdom is to not put it in a fruit salad" i mean i feel this saying dispite being a part of a joke shows clearly the diffrence between knowledge and wisdom just because tomatos are fruit it doese'nt make it a good idea to put it in a fruit salad and the same thing in sumeru just because something is true does'nt make it a good idea to spread it because if the people knew too much their nation will be destroyed
Considering that we’re seeing a lot of desert themes mixed in with the Dendro theming, do you believe that the Mare Jivari would be considered as the later content for Sumeru?
Purana in this context (or The Puranas) are actually ancient hindu mythology texts and its like an enclyopedia talking about various and diverse topics like cosmology, genealogies of gods and goddesses, sagas, kings heroes medicine grammar etc I also think the purana mentioned in the sumeru chapter title can refer to the truth of this world, or how the world was before the primordial one and maybe even revealing about the unified civilisation whose architectural ruins we see all over teyvat even 🤔
I wonder if we will get any more info about and/or from Lisa during the Sumeru chapter of our journey, she seems to know so much more than she let's on. Also keep up the good work!
I wonder if “knowledge as a commodity” will take form of knowledge or information or “data” gained from the ley line trees. Landmarks like the tree in Windrise, Azhdaha’s remains, and the Great Sakura Tree all account in some shape or form the ecosystem of its respective region. But after Raiden Shogun’s quest regarding Leylines holding “memories”, I wonder if the “knowledge” in Sumeru is going to take form of something akin to apples, warranting biblical references.
Inazuma was hype though. I really enjoyed all of the Raiden Shogun's stories and seeing her character development. But its definitely time for a new focus. Hey TH Bruh! 😆
Honestly I believe that we will set those kept secrets free and doom the nation just as we did with inazuma. Since now inazuma is also exposed to the threat of the cycle of destruction because of us. And with all those hints about paimon betraying us, I feel like someone or maybe paimon her self will be taken or forced to leave in search of knowledge of something. Just in general I think sumeru is where we will learn a little about paimons past.
If I tranlated abyss words correctly it says in latin: "Sub floreis lumen sagacitatis" . Translated into english it tells this :" Under the flowery light of flair". Not sure if it means anything, but...
*spoiler* . . . . . . . . I thought Byakuyakoku sunk into the abyss as a result of the conflict between the primordial one and the second who came? I don’t think they were sunk for knowing the truth.
I'm calling it now: Kusanali will have a Jafar/Wormtongue type vizier talking in their ear that's manipulating the political landscape in Sumeru for their own benefit. He/she will be either aligned with the Fatui or the Abyss. Kusanali is likely under some sort of duress or spell (like king Theoden was) to explain how they are so easily duped.
I think the entire video is an extrapolation of just one sentence "knowledge is treated as a currency". Honestly nobody knows what this really means, and you could be taking a something simple and overanalyse it with metaphor on top of metaphor (stacking root of evil with knowedge = currency, thefore knowledge = root of evil is a bit too much). Many of your videos has shown u really think too much and many speculations were proven wrong, but yea, if this channel is meant for fanfiction rather than lore then go for it.
could be and sure do that knowledge and wisdom are 2 very different things that can be connected to each other as well and yes knowledge can bring disasters , wisdom can help avert them , interesting theory that could be really close to home
i also imagine that in sumeru, people (maybe even dendro archon as well) are not actively against the fatui, but instead are openly cooperating w them bc they know of the tsaritsa's true intentions to go against celestia and they support this. this could be the "push for folly" as well. i think we'll find out a lot abt the cataclysm and celestia in sumeru since their previous archon literally died bc of it
hmm i heard of a theory where Lisa knows the secrets of teyvat and also knows about the 1st and 2nd who came that's why she has limited time here in teyvat cause she was cursed or something
So like how I see it is Celestia doesn't want people knowing the truth of tevat and once someone gets to close to the truth they put a stop to it? Kinda if that makes sense and sense people in Sumeru know a lot and are knowledgable about things if someone where to get to close to finding out the truth then Celestia puts a stop to it so if the god of Sumeru kinda trys to protect there people by not letting people get to far into finding out the truth so ignorance would be better Idk if that made any sense but I tried
I have a feeling that the dendro archon is going to die again. I've seen a lot of videogames kill deities that have the color green and are related to knowledge, wisdom, balance, peace, or harmony. The gnosis itself is key to maintaining the life of an archon, and the Fatui are after the gnoses, which means that if it gets taken away, the real archon holding it will die. We don't know how the archon looks like, or their identity besides of the name Lesser Lord Kussanali, which could imply there's a higher being we don't know of.
After reading Fahrenheit 451 I wonder if Sumeru will be similar. Knowledge comes at a price, but what happens when the people don't want to pay that price anymore? Knowledge loses its value.
Theirs a video a cat's with a blue hat with recent NPCs that some says that food is much expensive in Sumeru, it took one meals worth just to buy a Kamera, but in other nations Kamera is very cheap to purchase. One of the resources, where Connections to possibly a powerful individual or a team, apparently connections are valuable tham wealth itself amd also Sumeru scholars can research anything they want but anything related to Khanreia'h nor Celestia are prohibited.
Idk why but i feel like sumeru will have some kinda internal turmoil, like as we know, sumeru is two region, raiforest(ancient india most probably) and desert(egypt most likely) and i think the people living in the desert still havent forgotten the old dendro archon and still worship him/her, while the rainforest people accepted what happened to the old archon and now worship lesser god kusunali, alsoooo, the god of wisdom's enemy is wisdom itself, i think it signifies that she is tryna win over great scholars(who are way smarter than the rainforest ones but live in desert) and i think fatui gonna try take advantage of it, and as liben in the new event said, sumeru is in danger, i think thats what gonna happen i might be wrong, but who knows, none of my theory were never right anyways
i don't actually buy the idea that the snake was killed over his knowledge, for one he was not killed while defending, he was killed while attacking, and the idea that he knew celestia so seek to get himself killed make no sense as if could had done so without involving the army and getting his own people killed. one thing that is clear is that the records in the game are not always accurate or truthful. even if the snake did know the truth, his death is accidental and not related to knowing, because by now it should be clear that quite alot of people already knew the truth, if celestia doesn't move against the fatui, why would they move against the snake that has far less power? the way i see it is the snake share the fact with his subject, and the subject use this as an excuse to say they didn't get the snake killed with their unreasonable request to make war with raiden shogun to grab more territory, so they blame it on celestia.

Love how these videos get more and more interesting and I am so happy that the channel is doing so well now.
Having something of a resurgence lately. I’m so thankful for the renewed support ^^
@@TeyvatHistoria The support has always been there waiting for content to share to everyone they know. ;>
Keep it up old friend! ;D
Well…. She is “the god of flowers”
It’s like any theory, a long shot… but it’s possible.
I agree, she's not the real archon but a copy or sappling, she is a part of them but she's not the same without them, like she's weak now and handling the things for the real archon until they finish their own matters and take the throne again
I read the title as age of calamity and was very confused about why Sumeru was in Zelda.
haha 😂
This is almost certainly the case, if you recall all the researching Sumerian NPCs we've encountered. The ones that believe in and research BS get encouraged and supported in their research (like Kaushik), whereas those that research into dangerous topics like the Irminsul fruits are under much more pressure to discourage them from continuing (like Hosseini).
Makes me wonder about dr baizhou.
If the theory of the 7 nations goung through a cycle of destruction and recreation is correct could it be possible that all the nations who have 2 nd gen Archon have been destroyed and recreated alongside their Archon's dEath and the choosing of a new Archon?
Don't think so. Inazuma didn't get destroyed. Ei is 2nd archon after Makoto after all
I find that unlikely to be the case.
I don't think so tbh
@@I_XuMuK_I but then again we haven't seen any movement from Celestia since khenriah incident
Bro you gotta sub to this guy I don't know how but every video that he makes just leaves wanting more
Glad to hear it!

Oh certainly. I have no doubt we’re going to see threads from the Manga overlain with the plot in sumeru. Saved that stuff for a separate video.
@@TeyvatHistoria Nice, can't wait to watch it!
The lines of the Sheesroom shed some light onto Sumeru's problem, I guess
Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put tomatoes in a fruit salad. Charisma is being able to sell a tomato-based fruit salad.
this whole theme of being kept in the dark always reminds me of Ella Musk. She's literally trying to communicate with hilichurls about their history. My gut feeling says that is probably not a good thing to do.
I think your explanation of Dainslief's comment on the affairs of Sumeru is very clear and spot on, and the primary conflict in my opinion between the traveler and the archon will be the debate of "Is ignorance and inaction really the solution?"
I believe that its what they can do for now, but like all things its but a temporary solution that doesn't solve the root of the problem.
He said it was an ancient text/book. Still accurate.
0:12 very unique flowers. one petal is light blue and the rest are white. i wonder why this flower has one petal of a different color.
Enkanomiya wasn’t submerged into the abyss for knowing the truth
Purana means old in hindi, but here it references to Sanskrit word 'Purana' which are religious texts/books from India.😅
Your content always slaps omfg
let it be known that Kusanali is very likely to represent the one trait the Dendro Slime has: cowardice.
its almost certain, Kusanali does nothing against that push for folly because she's well aware that its better to know nothing than to stand up against Celestia, which in a sense, is the coward's way out compared to the Tsaritsa.
Cyno , anubis jackal inspired character.
Truth amongst the pages of purana is probably gonna have a huge lore dump. One that will directly come from someone incredibly familiar with the atrocities of Celestia. My guess? The Dendro Archon.
Also a bit unrelated but i think i accidentally came across the actual quote from which the Sumeru Dainsleif quote was referenced from
Maybe
It's like " Our knowledge is a receding Mirage in the ever expanding desert of ignorance"
Could just be a coincidence
This is totally related!
@Robin Sailo And so do all the other ones.
@Robin Sailo Well, there are also Hydro, Cryo, Pyro, Electro and Anemo slimes in Liyue, if you have not noticed.
@Robin Sailo Ooh, now I understand. I do know slime theory, which also states that the dendro archon is hiding, but I did not think it says where he is hiding. Good point.
Teyvat Historia: But First--
SKIPS 60 SECS
I also want to add the villain of the arc, probably Dottore, fits in perfectly with this. A man hell bent on research that actively ignores any ethical issues that arises from his work. Dangers of acquiring knowledge, willfully ignored. He is the extreme of the flaws within Sumeru.
I guess this is why we've seen people from Sumeru have us testing things that will help to build newer things: easier to research how best to use already made items in new ways that it would be to make new items.
Holy frick
Just going ahead and making sense of this
Incredible job man, enjoyable content and wonderful theories
For some reason i remembered a saying from a joke i saw on the internet "knowledge is knowing that tomatos are fruit wisdom is to not put it in a fruit salad" i mean i feel this saying dispite being a part of a joke shows clearly the diffrence between knowledge and wisdom just because tomatos are fruit it doese'nt make it a good idea to put it in a fruit salad and the same thing in sumeru just because something is true does'nt make it a good idea to spread it because if the people knew too much their nation will be destroyed
omg IM EARLY HELLO
love this guy
really good lore vids
So basically Sumeru nobles are like the Illuminati.
Considering that we’re seeing a lot of desert themes mixed in with the Dendro theming, do you believe that the Mare Jivari would be considered as the later content for Sumeru?
Purana in this context (or The Puranas) are actually ancient hindu mythology texts and its like an enclyopedia talking about various and diverse topics like cosmology, genealogies of gods and goddesses, sagas, kings heroes medicine grammar etc
I also think the purana mentioned in the sumeru chapter title can refer to the truth of this world, or how the world was before the primordial one and maybe even revealing about the unified civilisation whose architectural ruins we see all over teyvat even 🤔
that’s basically what I’m getting at, I just summarized it for brevity.
It's ironic that sumeru is a desert yet the archon is a tree hippy.
I wanna know about Lisa’s past with sumeru :((
Honestly I believe that we will set those kept secrets free and doom the nation just as we did with inazuma.
Your interpretation is very interesting... now I'm really hyped for Sumeru
Lol i thought it was written edgy in thumbnail
you'll definitely get more than 150k subs this year with your content bro.

Yessss nore theory vidss
I think the entire video is an extrapolation of just one sentence "knowledge is treated as a currency". Honestly nobody knows what this really means, and you could be taking a something simple and overanalyse it with metaphor on top of metaphor (stacking root of evil with knowedge = currency, thefore knowledge = root of evil is a bit too much).
Many of your videos has shown u really think too much and many speculations were proven wrong, but yea, if this channel is meant for fanfiction rather than lore then go for it.
could be and sure do that knowledge and wisdom are 2 very different things that can be connected to each other as well and yes knowledge can bring disasters , wisdom can help avert them , interesting theory that could be really close to home
i also imagine that in sumeru, people (maybe even dendro archon as well) are not actively against the fatui, but instead are openly cooperating w them bc they know of the tsaritsa's true intentions to go against celestia and they support this. this could be the "push for folly" as well. i think we'll find out a lot abt the cataclysm and celestia in sumeru since their previous archon literally died bc of it
Wow did you major in philosophy? Very Vedantic (not pedantic) as well.
I wonder what Chasm part 2 will reveal.
Travail means labor in french and the whole story is the traveler doing intense labor in return for info or help to find their sibling.
Ngl Teyvat historia and Island is my favorite theory channel
hmm i heard of a theory where Lisa knows the secrets of teyvat and also knows about the 1st and 2nd who came that's why she has limited time here in teyvat cause she was cursed or something
So like how I see it is Celestia doesn't want people knowing the truth of tevat and once someone gets to close to the truth they put a stop to it? Kinda if that makes sense and sense people in Sumeru know a lot and are knowledgable about things if someone where to get to close to finding out the truth then Celestia puts a stop to it so if the god of Sumeru kinda trys to protect there people by not letting people get to far into finding out the truth so ignorance would be better Idk if that made any sense but I tried
anyone else tired of the child is somehow smarter than the most distinguished scholars trope?
"Knowledge is not wisdom"
how many prn videos will you need to watch to know how sx is?
I always wondered what those words underneath the title of the arcs
i feel like china and sumeru very similiar because of the current situation
JENSHIN IMPACT
I have a feeling that the dendro archon is going to die again. I've seen a lot of videogames kill deities that have the color green and are related to knowledge, wisdom, balance, peace, or harmony. The gnosis itself is key to maintaining the life of an archon, and the Fatui are after the gnoses, which means that if it gets taken away, the real archon holding it will die. We don't know how the archon looks like, or their identity besides of the name Lesser Lord Kussanali, which could imply there's a higher being we don't know of.
Venti got his gnosis taken away and yet didn't die
Nah, they aren't going to kill a child.
since i started the game sumeru is the region ive wanted to go to the most. i already understood what dainsleif meant, but this was still a fun watch
😘
After reading Fahrenheit 451 I wonder if Sumeru will be similar. Knowledge comes at a price, but what happens when the people don't want to pay that price anymore? Knowledge loses its value.
Im wondering if Sumeru will also be sealed off to early game players (like Inazuma) when it arrives. XD that would be such a pain for them.
"ignorance is bliss"
Idk why but i feel like sumeru will have some kinda internal turmoil, like as we know, sumeru is two region, raiforest(ancient india most probably) and desert(egypt most likely) and i think the people living in the desert still havent forgotten the old dendro archon and still worship him/her, while the rainforest people accepted what happened to the old archon and now worship lesser god kusunali, alsoooo, the god of wisdom's enemy is wisdom itself, i think it signifies that she is tryna win over great scholars(who are way smarter than the rainforest ones but live in desert)
and i think fatui gonna try take advantage of it, and as liben in the new event said, sumeru is in danger, i think thats what gonna happen
i might be wrong, but who knows, none of my theory were never right anyways
Get to the point….geez…
Whenever Sumeru is mentioned I cannot help but to think back to the theory about Baizhu being the former Dendro archon (god of the forest)
i don't actually buy the idea that the snake was killed over his knowledge, for one he was not killed while defending, he was killed while attacking, and the idea that he knew celestia so seek to get himself killed make no sense as if could had done so without involving the army and getting his own people killed. one thing that is clear is that the records in the game are not always accurate or truthful. even if the snake did know the truth, his death is accidental and not related to knowing, because by now it should be clear that quite alot of people already knew the truth, if celestia doesn't move against the fatui, why would they move against the snake that has far less power? the way i see it is the snake share the fact with his subject, and the subject use this as an excuse to say they didn't get the snake killed with their unreasonable request to make war with raiden shogun to grab more territory, so they blame it on celestia.
I've been a long timer subscriber, but this is one of your best videos/theories. Great job!
I think the best theory I saw was catwithabluehat which went over how they think Sumeru will be ruled.
