My dad is a MTG:Arena (beluga) whale who watches all of CGBs content and I am the HS F2P brain broken son. These collabs have genuinely given us more overlap, we're not just monologuing about our personal game of choice.
Amitus is really annoying mechanically, but she so beautifully represents Paladin. While most of the Titans protect themselves, it is poetic that the Paladin Titan protects others. In general, I’d say all the Titans (outside of Rogue’s and maybe DH’s) perfectly encapsulate their class’s design.
Even for DH there's an argument to be made, the rush/lifesteal depending on position is somewhat reminicent of the outcast mechanic, and reducing the cost of card in hand deffinitly fit DH class design. Its realy just the rogue one that feel out of place.
I would say generally amitus causes the opponent's turn to also take 30 seconds longer just to figure out how to properly remove or divy out the damage. And you pray she got no hand-buffs, or any of the 4+ potential minions you need to run into her are dying for only a -2 health deficit on her total health.
Tbh I wouldn't say Sargeras encompasses all of Warlock since imo the biggest aspect of warlock that makes it warlock is sacrifice for power and Sargeras is just good with minimal drawbacks.
Yeah its just like "Oh, neat, I get a card after obliterating their 15 health taunt minion". Because 90% of the time its just blood, then unholy and frost if the primus survives
It's useful for one specific case - searching for lethal. Your oppopent on ~5 health, you play Primus and search for some frost rune burn with discount
To protect CGB, I want to say that Sargeras at the start has been extra broken with Symphony, being able to be cheated out, and has singlehandedly made Blizzard nerf Symphony. So even tho Sargeras himself was not nerfed, they had to nerf another legendary because of him.
To be fair to any of these Rarran videos, and general analysis, HS Replay and other Meta crap is just 1 way to evaluate a card... and it really doesn't evaluate the Card at all most of the time, it evaluates the Deck and Meta. Strong cards can see little to no play because the decks and meta don't favor them their entire lifespan in Standard and then they're just not broken enough for Wild, leaving the card "bad" and forgettable regardless of its own merits as a card. In a case like that, Arena ratings would be interesting for card that don't need built around... because you let most of these deck it out in Arena then Sargeras or Amitus is probably leaving a bigger trail of bloodshed than Yogg or Eonar.
@@sylvainsanesti3499 only thing that puts Sargeras lower is Reno being present in every single slow deck, and Reno singlehandly destroy Sargeras when Sargeras was supposed to be the one who destroy the slower decks
So if we "award" 1 point for each difference in rating per card, Cimo had 36 points and CGB had 26. (I think, only counted once.) Obviously the ratings in the middle are pretty fluid, but overall CGB's list was indeed a touch better.
Thank you for counting it up. The main thing is they both had the bottom 4 in the bottom 5 of their list. and since the middle is muddled, it is pretty close.
Sargeras got triple nerfed, without the card actually being altered. 1: Symphony of Sins. One of the cards used to reduce your highest cost minion by 6 and draw it. 2. Reno wipes the board. 3. Twisting Nether was worded differently and now also destroys the portal.
Also, originally, when Sargeras was stolen by your opponent and he used one of the abilities, you would get the minions since the portal was on your side. Now, the abilities do nothing (since they don't have the portal).
The play pattern of yogg was really what warranted the nerf. Like Rarran said, both wild and standard suffered as all classes and archetypes found ways to build their deck with a critical mass of spell and draw (sometimes minion copy effects, or hand disruption to specifically target minions), and it became Yoggfest 2023.
Shadowverse players knew from the start that Yogg would be broken. We are way too familiar, and way too traumatized, by a mechanic there called Spellboost (which works similar to Pre-Nerfed Yogg) to think otherwise.
Oh yea, Spellboost to get yourself an extra turn or something (Dimension Shift) or some other crazy Spellboost stuff. And the worst part is that Yogg doesn't even need to be in hand to be "Spellboosted" unlike actual Spellboost cards.
But what if we made a Spellboost card that discounted herself via Spellboost and drew more Spellboost cards and then Spellboosted those cards! Honestly, even Hearthstone players, even CBG and Cirmo should've known... it's the mana cheating. Always was.
So, I played Hearthstone for 5(?) years, starting in Beta, and I quit after the Witchwood. I'm witnessing Eonar for the first time, and I have to say: *What the hell?!*
@@neonoir__ Actually don't agree with the aggressive and combo part, I do absolutely agree that power creep is crazy. But I've been low legend (around 14k in EU) for the last two or three seasons, after years of not playing the game, and playing exclusively Reno Warrior and Shaman as well as Rainbow Death Knight, while having a great time. The meta, at least in my case, is infinitely better than what it was years ago when literally 70% of people were playing face aggro decks.
It actually ended up being even more insane than it looks. They then printed that 5 mana spell that adds a copy of target minion to your hand deck and battlefield, and wasn't restricted to non-titans at first. My God what were they thinking
Rarran: one of them was nerfed, your job is to find out which one was nerfed and put it at the top. Me: There was a Titan nerfed?! I'm fucked lol Edit: i forgot about Yogg, i thought was only Class Titans he was talking about lmao
Hey Rarran, I love these type of videos but prefer it when they are in the same call and then you go into a private one for final opinions. Appreciate it might have not been possible this time, but I feel it adds an element of treachery and gaslighting that’s super fun to watch
@@hugomendoza5665Yeah, I don't know any of them, but even if they were in the same country, there could be hours of difference between their places let alone being able to schedule both to the same "day".
I feel like a big issue with volton now is that it was mainly designed with the mech package in mind, It was very much a strong card in the deck but now that mech rogue isnt a thing it just doesnt have a place. I also feel like Sargeras would be much closer to the top if Reno didnt exist, Reno is almost exclusively the reason why it sees so little play now.
Around the 17-18 minute mark, CGB brings up a really big complaint the community had about planeswalkers years back. We had like 12 at least that were 4-6 mana, had +1 loyalty to draw or scry draw or surveil draw, -3 to bounce or destroy or phase out or exile a creature or make a flyer or a 3/3 blocker, and an ultimate that's fairly broken. It was very boring that we had Ob Nixilis and Jace copy pasted on so so many other cards.
The other thing that I remember about plainswalkers is that they just.... died before doing their thing. They got a lot better but they were easy to clear off the board despite the only removal being generic permanent hate.
@@rtwoxd1355 Like I said, they were not the early ones. There was 13 other planeswalkers that were released before Jace the Mind Sculptor, and the only one out of those three only Karn saw play in what we know now as Legacy because he did his thing on the same turn that he dropped onto the board. The cards in the meta at the time made it so that they were distraction carnifexes that didn't distract much. They died so easily to the board state, permanent removal, and burn that they did nothing and were gimmicks. They got a lot better, with better designs and the meta allowing them to do their thing, but early plainswalkers were Timmy traps.
I was sitting there wondering which card got nerfed for the entire video, thinking “they’re all good, but I don’t remember any nerfs to these” and then 15 mana yogg jumpscared me and brought me back to yogg/prison breaker rogue
As an MTG player, looking at this Yogg gave me flashbacks to Emrakul, the Promised end (13 mana generic that gets reduced, takes control of your opponent) and knowing how centralizing that card was, immediately guessed that Yogg was the problem. I'm shocked CGB didn't pick up in that.
Got an idea for a video: you call the video "------- player rates BAD hearthstone cards" and you basically show them just a bunch of shitty horrible cards, but when you do you'll say that the cards you're going to show them are going to either be horrible or amazing. So you gaslight them into thinking some of them have some hidden synergies or something, that could be fun
"If it does 20 damage, then there should be a creature with 20 health." No one show Rarran "Hundred-Handed One" from MTG. "As long as Hundred-Handed One is monstrous, it has reach and can block an additional ninety-nine creatures each combat."
Hearthstone still exists? In 2024??? I thought it was just an urban legend with a lot of people pretending to talk about it and inventing fake cards to react to :O (/s)
I love the editing between them so much. It feels like every video you make evolves more over time that just adds the best aspects of the previous one to the next
As a player of both MTG and Yugioh (I only played Hearthstone until the Grand Tournament expansion), here is my list (I didn't listen to Cimo or CGB while I made this): ==God tier, auto-include like Dr Boom back in the day, basically wins the game on the spot== 1) Aman'Thul - WTF this card is insane. I can remove any 2 minions, without deathrattle going off? This ability would be played on its own for 7 mana and see play, right? WTF was Blizzard smoking when they made this card?! Oh, they have a board of 7 minions and you need to stabilize? Vision of heroes has you covered, and its also a hail mary if the strike from history isn't enough. And if you are ahead, Shape the Stars just says "btw you win the game lmao." Oh, and this isn't EVEN MENTIONING THAT YOU GET A FREE LEGENDARY IN YOUR HAND EACH TURN. Holy shit, I'm sorry you had to deal with this card for any amount of time. 2) Golganneth - Another cracked card. Only 6 mana, so its cheep. And you can do a board sweep and kill anything with less than 3 health, AND stabalize on top of that? Wow. If your opponent's threat is a big minion, then you can just kill it. And you can Sharghan's Wrath if you are ahead and don't need anything right away. And if it lives the turn, your next turn you save 3 mana. ==Great tier, are awesome cards of their own write, but aren't as game-warping as the above== 3) Eonar - This card basically says "win the game if you can cast this" You get 12 toughness worth of taunters with 5 attack each. You get to stabilize by fully healing yourself. You can just basically get another turn by refreshing your mana crystals. And if cards are a problem, you can just draw tons more! The only problem is that it costs 10 mana, but its druid, so in actuality its more like 8 mana (at the expense of being weak to face hunter). Great card. I only put it behind the others since you do have to sacrifice some early game to play this before you lose, so it probably just loses to face hunter a lot, which tampers things. Also, even turn 8 seems kind of slow. 4) Yogg Saron - For an average deck, you would probably play this on turn 8, but some aggressive decks get to cast this bad boy on turn 6. And there you get to steal an enemy minion? Geez. And if it isn't enough, you can then fill you hand with the tentacles next turn and start going nuts. In midrange decks, you probably cast this later but use it as a pseudo board wipe when you are slightly behind but not super far behind, and then if this survives win the game next turn. I think the midrange use case isn't good enough, but I imagine this is a staple of aggressive mage decks and face hunter decks. 5) Amitus - You can play the pacified mana effect even if you have an empty board against a full board to get a pseudo board wipe, since they need to attack this 4 times, and then deal at most 6 to your face. Then you've moved them down to a board with four 2/1s and two 2/2s while you take only 6 damage next turn. And that is if you had nothing! If you are ahead, you just use empowered and instantly win. If you are parity, either 2 could be what you need. And reinforced can be a hail mary for certain really bad situations. Honestly, this card just seems like its never bad, even if you only get 1 effect off, and if you activate multiple your opponent might as well concede. So yeah, this is fantastic ==Good tier, saw play, and got some excitement, but aren't powerful enough for people to complain about them.== 6) Sargeras - The 9 mana is rough, but assuming you cast this you just win. Are you very behind? To the Void will save you. Even if they cast removal, you won out. If you are ahead, you can cast Inferno and threaten game next turn. And Legion invasion is great if you are parity and don't want to sacrifice what you've gained so far. Being weak to aggressive decks does limit this card's usefulness though. 7) Khaz'goroth: Assuming I'm reading this right, this seems good. It seems you are always doing tempering first, since you first will kill a random enemy minion, then you get an extra attack (again, if I understand it correctly), and both attacks are basically going to kill whatever. The other abilities are just gravy for later, but getting a 9/4, and destroy random enemy minion and target enemy minion for 6 is pretty baller. It's mainly held back since it doesn't really have anything to live when behind against a wide board like the above 5 cards, but its still pretty good! 8) Voltron - So, the "default mode" seems to be a 5/6 for 6 that gives another minion +2/+1 and deals 8 damage randomly broken into two random 4 chunks? That's pretty great. And if you are ahead, you can make it a 4/7 and draw 2. And if your opponent doesn't have a board, you can just do Maximize Defense and win the game. And the fact that this is only 6 mana seems like its cracked. Seems like it is just always good, and those are the sorts of cards you want to play. The only problem is that, compared to the previous 4 on the list, where they can easily save you if you are far behind, this doesn't really have that sort of mechanism. (I unfortunately heard you describe this as the worst one at the end of the segment, so I forced myself to keep it here in relation to all of the stuff that came before to keep myself honest.) 9) Aggramar - This seems good. Deal 5 damage to whatever I want for the next 3 turns starting turn 6 already seems pretty great. Face hunter can close a game with this, and midrange can clear up. If you won't win immediately and you are face hunter, you can use maintain order to ensure you will keep your card draw and aggression to win. Commanding presence seems like its not super valuable outside of niche situations, but hey, its still something. ==Fine tier, good card that saw some play, but no one was excited about it== 10) Primus - Primus seems just fine. Rune of blood stabalizes if your opponent just has one big minion you need to deal with. Otherwise Rune of the Unholy will get you through the turn and protect Primus. Runes of Frost is fine, but its not like its the draw of this card. Basically, this seems like a fine titan that might just get slotted into the deck of its class (I don't recognize the card backing?). ==Bad tier, probably didn't see play== 11) Norgannon - This card reads 6 mana to get a 3 mana effect, and it dies next turn. The only saving grace is that it does present a "must kill on sight" because of Progenitor's power, but unfortunately you kind of just let them do that. This would only see play if mage had sufficiently good protection tools in the meta. 12) Argus - Argunite Armor seems like the only real stabalizing effect, and it pales in comparison to the others. Sure, I get 8 toughness worth of taunts, but I imagine lots of things can deal 2 to all minions or something like that. Plus, it can't even get used fully if you have more than 2 minions when you bring this guy out. You aren't using Show of Force immediately, and Crystal Carving seems more like a meme. Ooh, I get a Leper Gnome. Fantastic. It can be a hail mary, but since this costs 7 I'll have to hope my guy doesn't get killed to actually use it. Show of Force is a woopty do. It's turn 7, so its not like my hand is filled with cards unless drawing s something that Demon Hunter does. Welp I got shown wrong lol.
This was fantastic reading! :) I love "fresh" impressions like these and greatly appreciated your thoroughness and honesty. Wish I could give more likes! 👍
Well after losing countless times to how stupid Primus actually is, it's really funny to see you rating it as just fine lol It's actually silly how Primus could theoretically just eat a 100/100 and give you literal 100 health AND a random rune spell, the other 3/3 taunts just make aggro cry and the spell damage kind of sets up weird lethals you might not even see coming, Primus is that good.
Cimo had some really good insights about how the individual titans play out, I was just surprised both of them missed on two out of Yoggs abilities being immediate control/board impact where most titans only have one ability dedicated to controlling the board.
I love these videos, cgb and cimo are both great people to do these videos with! Just a little context for some of the titans, Amanthul (the priest titan that you both liked) is even better because priest can copy and resurrect amanthul. it's not uncommon for priest to play 3,4 and sometimes even more copies of amanthul in one game. Amanthul and cards similar have basically killed midrange and deathrattle strategies in hearthstone because of the "poof" effects that rarran talks about. If your entire deck is built around resurrecting big butts but none of them actually "die" it's a super feels bad. There are a lot of copy effects in HS, and casting 15 spells is a lot easier than you might think. Yogg Saron very often just cost 0 mana so you could do whatever you want with the rest of your mana to get extra copies of it on board or in your hand. It was a silly time to play the game. Now it's basically just played as a 9 mana neutral mind control. I am pretty sure rarran has showed you guys Wheel of Death before, and sargeras was one of the best cards to play after your deck is gone. Sargeras almost always seals the game if you can get away with selecting the +2 health and taunt option. Sargeras feels amazing to play and for good reason. He was the big bad of the WoW expansion that he was in. The primus is a super cool card and has been in every deathknight deck since its release. Not only because it's good but it has no rune requirement. Deathknight has been so popular at times that in the mirror you are afraid to play it because if you remove a big 8/8 minion and your primus has 17 health, the opponent can now primus your primus and have a massive 26 health minion that gave their hero +17 max hp. This is a lesson every DK player learns eventually. Never play you primus before theirs. Have a nice day, hope you liked a bit of extra knowledge!
Great video! The scoring could be more objective imo. You could do it like golf. How many positions away was CC placement from the card from the list you had. For example, say Yogg was placed 3rd by CC1, and the other CC2 placed it 5th. Then, content creator 1 (CC) would get 2 points added to their score, and content creator 2 gets 4 points added to their score. Then at the end, whoever has the lowest score wins.
Him saying how only one titan (yogg) had to be nerfed really made me think about the expansion again. That honestly might be one of my favorite expansions period. I enjoyed the meta a ton, i thought so many of the cards were so cool, and it didn't feel like it undersold either. It really stands out when you look at the last few expansions since that have had multiple cards that had to be hit 2+ times. Titans felt so balanced with so many viable things, i really loved it. It got me to play standard so much more than i had been or have since.
The thing with Aggramar is that he is the card that is least worried about being removed since his power lasts on the weapon. He's the Titan where you're happiest if he's immediately removed.
I haven't even watched the video but big ups to the editor for (what I'm assuming will be) 2 different people evaluating cards cut into a coherent video
their analysis is so much more spot on that the analysis rarran usually gives when talking about cards from other games, these guys are really impressive!
I've only gotten into Hearthstone within the last month but it really feels like they were building towards Sargeras with some of the past expansion minions or cards like Gigafin and Lakkari Sacrifice.
I would argue that Eonar and Sargeras should be recognized as #2 and #3 because while they weren't *directly* nerfed, other cards were nerfed because of them. Shattered Reflections was changed to non-Titan minion. Symphony of Sins was changed to not draw/discount your highest cost minion. (That said, Sargeras got a lot worse after they printed Reno, to the point that he's at the bottom of that #8-#2 range now).
Hey Rarran, at the end it is really hard to remember all 12 cards so it woild be really cool if you could have little pictures of each one next to there names on the lists so i can remember what each one is. Otherwise its a cool video.
I much prefer these sort of videos when you give them instant feedback on their opinion on their choices! Its much better for retention i feel as people can't just skip to the end for for all the fun stuff. Also i feel like CGB and Cimo would remember the cards better
Really awesome video, loved watching the reviews of the Titans, which were some of the best cards designed in HS, ever, imo. My list was based on the beginning of Titans... I didn't think Amitus saw a ton of play (or good play) at first so I ended up placing her lower. 1. Yogg 2. Aman'Thul 3. Golganneth 4. Primus 5. Eonar 6. Amitus 7. Aggramar 8. Sargeras 9. Argus 10. Khaz'Goroth 11. Norgannon 12. Voltron
He’s right. Any tendril deck is pure “must see television”. A surprising outcome for everyone. Up there with a wave of nostalgia gamble on a full board 😂
With this abilities voltron prime should be a 4 mana 1/4 to be good. Or, if we stick to 6 mana cost, abilities should be revorked to: 1:gain +3health, devine shield and elusive. 2:gain +2/+1 and "at the end of turn deal 1 damage to all enemy minions" 3:gain +1/+2 and "at the end of turn draw a card".
I love these videos, eapecially with CBG and Cimo. These guys have the best thought process and are so great at explaining their thoughts even tho this game isn't their preferred game and honestly vastly different
Well, it had been fun if it had been mentioned that you can copy Titans, and that it was especially a thing (besides priest making copies to the hand) to get a 2nd Mage Titan AND that if you use the ability of one the other one also get buffed ability... so you could have one on the board that put a secret on the board, then next turn you make a copy, blast opponents face for 10 with one of them, and 20 with the other on the same turn.
I think what's also important to mention is that when Yogg first came out (or at least after the next rotation) there were only two different 10 mana spells, Table Flip, which deals 3 to all enemy minions, and Sunset Volley (which now costs 9), which deals 10 damage split amoung all enemies and summons a random 10 drop. So with the yogg ability giving you a lot of tendrils you could easily get them to cast either of those really quickly and really often
Wouldn't change how powerful Yogg was, the impact of the titan was insane that even wild was all about how to counter yogg, i was able to play a meme deck with yogg and still be relevant because how absurd the card was
In Wild, one of my favorite decks of the season was Yogg Rogue before the nerf, which was basically the entire miracle package, drawing your entire deck and dropping a board full of 8/8 giants on turn 3, with a free Yog to clear agro. Im also sad there waa no mention of hentai- err Tentacle Shaman/Rogue, because the only 10 cost spell in standard at the time was Sunset Volley: Deal 10 and summon a 10 drop, and a 3 damagw board clear
man I haven't played Hearthstone in years and got your video recommended to me probably because I watch magicthenoah. your video made me want to play hs and confront my rng trauma. I hope you are proud that you are destroying my sanity!
Its interesting because Sargeras and Aman'Thul at times were the most hated Titans. Sargeras because he could be cheated out Turn 6 semi-consistently for awhile. Aman'Thul because he can be played like 4-8 times in a game. If it wasn't for the Symphony nerf and then the introduction of Reno, I feel like people would have called for Sargeras nerfs
Norgannon definitely feels like a card you build the deck around rather than the generic value engine insert most titans are. Even Yogg wasn't really essential to the tentacle decks we got, just an obvious include; Norg's variance and the arguable wincon of deal 20 means you really can't just shove him in a mage deck and have it perform, he needs a dedicated strat to be most effective imo
Haven't played Hearthstone in years but been enjoying your videos lately, to me Yogg immediately seemed broken because you could get it out so early or have it as basically a freebie to change the course of the game whenever you need... From memory there's lots of cheap spells and some that give you mana back like a coin so you could reduce it's cost for very little cost to you. I'm surprised the demon wasn't higher as it feels like you'd be able to use all 3 abilities really consistently on this card where as some of the other titans I can see only being on the board for 2 turns
Yay, I got it right. :D I saw Yogg-Saron and immediately said this is the best one. Because A) that cost will go down much faster than you'd expect. Or at the least, it will be playable by the time the other player drops their Titan or other haymaker card, and that's all we need for this to be broken. B) if everybody is playing Titans, the one Titan that lets you take theirs has to be the best one. C) it steals the opponent's Yogg-Saron, so it has the Mental Misstep effect where the best way to deal with it is to play your own copy. Although I will say, making Yogg-Saron a Titan is a lore fail imo. Unless there's some new lore idk about.
The Primus isn't a Titan either and Amitus is a HS creation. Yogg was probably chosen because they wanted a neutral titan and he's the poster-old god of HS. They could have gone with Azeroth, but probably didn't get the okay from the lore team.
@@antoineguerrier2965 I wonder why they didn't name them Celestials or High Powers or some other neutral name then since they were including non-Titans
@@Lightning_Lance Well, the expansion is called TITANS and most of them are Titans. It's also a catchy name. There are only two, Yogg and Voltron, that aren't Titans, so it's not that big of a deal. They're also Titan related, Yogg's job is corrupting a titan and Voltron is Mimiron's creation.
I do want to give CGB a single point of credit for successfully getting the warrior Titan in the bottom 2, as it was the only titan who had to be BUFFED.
Hey Mr. Rarran, thank you for all of the content you make. I love your videos and hope you are succesful once you decide to branch out. Which I honestly think will not be a problem if you just continue to be yourself!

I'm still pissed they nerfed Yog the way they did. My favorite deck was my no minions deck that used souleater scythe to put Yog, the draw cast legendary, and the DH Titan. It was so beautiful. so sad.
Aman thul was made god tier by the amount of hand cloning that priest has. The ability to make like 5 aman thuls then follow it up with ra den was just the most infuriating/satisfying thing to.do.
Seem the fact yogg formerly 15 mana means no above and below on evolve pool, and since ability could be cast as soon as it hit field, it turn the repeat evolve into whole board stealing, board wipe, etc goes unmentioned
I saw Yogg, saw storm (mtg) flash before my eyes, and I knew that was #1. It sounded strong but not completely busted in abstract but every mtg bone in my body said they *cannot* have costed the stormish spell correctly on their first go.

To protect CGB, I want to say that Sargeras at the start has been extra broken with Symphony, being able to be cheated out, and has singlehandedly made Blizzard nerf Symphony. So even tho Sargeras himself was not nerfed, they had to nerf another legendary because of him.
Also Interaction with Reverb .
I still think Sargeras is top 2 (behind Yogg) and I stand by it
@@sylvainsanesti3499 only thing that puts Sargeras lower is Reno being present in every single slow deck, and Reno singlehandly destroy Sargeras when Sargeras was supposed to be the one who destroy the slower decks
@@henriquefozzatolima573 yes I agree, Reno is a pain in the arse. Before Reno tho, Sargeras was very very good
So if we "award" 1 point for each difference in rating per card, Cimo had 36 points and CGB had 26.
Okay so that proves that all yugioh players are smarter than all MTG players

This video is such a homerun. Perfect concept, perfect guests, perfect editing. Ranking these is even hard for a Hearthstone player ngl.
I really liked the editing on this one. Very smooth cutting back-and-forth between the two guests.
Twisting nether change wasnt specifically for Sargeras tho. We have many dormant and location cards now that it makes sense
Twisting nether doesn't destroy the portal. It's not a location
In that sense, Eonar was also nerfed without the card being altered with Shattered Reflection specifically not working with Titans anymore.
The biggest nerf, I would say was Thaddius, but they did took their sweet time to nerf that stupidy.
We are way too familiar, and way too traumatized, by a mechanic there called Spellboost (which works similar to Pre-Nerfed Yogg) to think otherwise.
ah the classicest of classic 3 flame destroyer and dimension shift turn
Oh yea, Spellboost to get yourself an extra turn or something (Dimension Shift) or some other crazy Spellboost stuff.
And the worst part is that Yogg doesn't even need to be in hand to be "Spellboosted" unlike actual Spellboost cards.
But what if we made a Spellboost card that discounted herself via Spellboost and drew more Spellboost cards and then Spellboosted those cards!
Honestly, even Hearthstone players, even CBG and Cirmo should've known... it's the mana cheating. Always was.
He needs to bring in Shadowverse players
it really shouldnt be though, its like everyone memory holed corridor creeper
Make them rank colossals too for the next video.
Cool idea!
Wish granted :D
So, I played Hearthstone for 5(?) years, starting in Beta, and I quit after the Witchwood.
I'm witnessing Eonar for the first time, and I have to say: *What the hell?!*
Hearthstone has seen some power creep.
Yep. What the hell is the correct response to Eonar.
power creep of a slowly dying game, its why every new meta seems to be either aggressive tempo stat dumping or combo

Hey Rarran, I love these type of videos but prefer it when they are in the same call and then you go into a private one for final opinions. Appreciate it might have not been possible this time, but I feel it adds an element of treachery and gaslighting that’s super fun to watch
Whenever they're not in the same call I just assume it was because it was too hard to get them at the same time with everyone's schedules.
@@hugomendoza5665Yeah, I don't know any of them, but even if they were in the same country, there could be hours of difference between their places let alone being able to schedule both to the same "day".
idk i personally dislike that, makes for a super busy video, bring them both in at the end only if possible
@@leadpaintchips9461Liliana of the veil, Jace mind sculptor, Karn liberated???
@@rtwoxd1355 They were not the early ones.
@@leadpaintchips9461 Jace the mind sculptor was the 14th planeswalker ever made, Karn the 21 and Liliana the 25.
Kinda of meh idea, it would be cool if it was a pool of say 10 cards, 9 are shit, and one is broken... something like that.
"If it does 20 damage, then there should be a creature with 20 health." No one show Rarran "Hundred-Handed One" from MTG.

Rarran: "Voltron is the worst Titan by far"
Me, a Wild-only player who has literally never once seen Argus in play: *Pikachu face*
I only saw Mark playing it...
As a player of both MTG and Yugioh (I only played Hearthstone until the Grand Tournament expansion), here is my list (I didn't listen to Cimo or CGB while I made this):
==God tier, auto-include like Dr Boom back in the day, basically wins the game on the spot==
1) Aman'Thul - WTF this card is insane.
==Great tier, are awesome cards of their own write, but aren't as game-warping as the above==
3) Eonar - This card basically says "win the game if you can cast this" You get 12 toughness worth of taunters with 5 attack each.
So yeah, this is fantastic
==Good tier, saw play, and got some excitement, but aren't powerful enough for people to complain about them.==
6) Sargeras - The 9 mana is rough, but assuming you cast this you just win.
(I unfortunately heard you describe this as the worst one at the end of the segment, so I forced myself to keep it here in relation to all of the stuff that came before to keep myself honest.)
9) Aggramar - This seems good.
==Fine tier, good card that saw some play, but no one was excited about it==
10) Primus - Primus seems just fine.
==Bad tier, probably didn't see play==
11) Norgannon - This card reads 6 mana to get a 3 mana effect, and it dies next turn.
@@MilanKell I'm glad you enjoyed it!
You had the most correct take of anyone about Argus (including Rarran, who forgot how the card literally never saw play)
Well after losing countless times to how stupid Primus actually is, it's really funny to see you rating it as just fine lol
It's actually silly how Primus could theoretically just eat a 100/100 and give you literal 100 health AND a random rune spell, the other 3/3 taunts just make aggro cry and the spell damage kind of sets up weird lethals you might not even see coming, Primus is that good.
Cimo had some really good insights about how the individual titans play out, I was just surprised both of them missed on two out of Yoggs abilities being immediate control/board impact where most titans only have one ability dedicated to controlling the board.
"No 20 health minion"
THE BANCIENT ONE!
13:34 He is rating the planes walkers based on the ultimate!
eonar didn't get nerfed but DID get other cards nerfed so kind of honorable mention
Another banger Rarran thanks for the vid
This was well edited. Fun to watch reactions to the titans. Sarg will always be my go to.
The editing on this, cutting between Cimo and CGB was really well done. Seamless, engaging, and did a good job highlighting their thoughts :)
Shout out to the editing, was surprisingly easy to watch for being 2 separate collabs.
He's the reason people play a tradable snake with "Battlecry: Destroy your opponent's weapon."
@@NereidAlbel Which is kinda whatever, just equips a new weapon lol
I've heard the yogg board wipe referred to as a board smudge. It isn't a wipe but it is often good enough for what you need.

Cimo was really on point in this video
Even when cimo is wrong, his analysis is always so well thought out
In a similar themed episode you could have somebody rate original KotFT hero cards.
Really awesome video, loved watching the reviews of the Titans, which were some of the best cards designed in HS, ever, imo. My list was based on the beginning of Titans... I didn't think Amitus saw a ton of play (or good play) at first so I ended up placing her lower.

Hey rarran, I hope your hand is ok. Also, great video. Please do more! 🙏
Rarran, your content is amazing!
Keep this up and you'll be the all-time Hearthstone GOAT (if not already)
With this abilities voltron prime should be a 4 mana 1/4 to be good.
Or, if we stick to 6 mana cost, abilities should be revorked to:
1:gain +3health, devine shield and elusive.
2:gain +2/+1 and "at the end of turn deal 1 damage to all enemy minions"
3:gain +1/+2 and "at the end of turn draw a card".
27:50 the ancient one will say no to 20 damage xD
This is a really cool format. Really liked the idea of ranking the cards against each other.
I love these videos, eapecially with CBG and Cimo. These guys have the best thought process and are so great at explaining their thoughts even tho this game isn't their preferred game and honestly vastly different
Only the Rarranverse can bring together three of my favorite content creators from three of my favorite card games together
That's at the beggining of Whizbang Workshop
By that time, Yogg was nerfed for at least 8 months
When Yogg came out, fully upgraded tendrils would cast Convoke the Spirits for more random spells, or The Garden's Grace for a +4/+4 and Divine Shield
Wouldn't change how powerful Yogg was, the impact of the titan was insane that even wild was all about how to counter yogg, i was able to play a meme deck with yogg and still be relevant because how absurd the card was
The tendril thing is irrelevant outside of tendril decks. Yogg alone is not getting you to your 10th tendril, let alone your 11th or 12th
As a Magic player, the second I saw the cost reduction on Yawg I didn't give a shit about the rest and locked my guess in lmao.
I didn't even know Argus, the Emerald Star existed. Neat! Learn something new every day.
I love you CGB, regardless of mistakes. Heaven knows we all make bad calls during our games

I would love to see these guys rate hearthstones herocards next :D
Always love these collabs
It's good to see the Mesa Falcon guy again!

I don't remember how I did it, but I did actually buff something past 20 health and remember thinking "Obviously I need to play around Lord of Skies"
I was just playing Hearthstone and right as you were talking about Argus my opponent summoned one.
I saw Yogg-Saron and immediately said this is the best one. Because
A) that cost will go down much faster than you'd expect.
To be fair, CGB put Amitus, Yogg and Aggramar highly up there, so pretty good!
Hey Mr. Rarran, thank you for all of the content you make. I love your videos and hope you are succesful once you decide to branch out. Which I honestly think will not be a problem if you just continue to be yourself!
This might be the first time I've seen and realized, that Demon Hunter has a Titan too :D
i really like that the magic guy is very quiet and the yugioh guy sounds like he's broadcasting in a Los Angeles McDonalds ballpit trying to talk over the other children
Welp... It's not like he didn't tell us the first time he came out: "Bow down before the God of Death!"
Rarran I think you should clarify that minion's abilities can target elusive minions too. It's kinda important in some cases
I saw Yogg, saw storm (mtg) flash before my eyes, and I knew that was #1. It sounded strong but not completely busted in abstract but every mtg bone in my body said they *cannot* have costed the stormish spell correctly on their first go.
