I love them and how they sound together, but that probably shouldn't happen. It would be compared to Outkast too much. I'm sure it's already been thought of in their circles, too.
Absolutely love the dungeon family and have loved them for years. I can't wait till they all come out with another dungeon family album snapping like killer Mike does attackin the mic like a competition instead of rappin like a total family reunion cookout album.
“Our shit don’t mix, like yay and Luke warm water. Better make it hotter, splash ice and watch it rock up!!!” My father put me hip to Outkast when I was younger. Stankonia is one of the first albums I bought with my own money from Circuit City.

It was his flavor, street style, songwriting that was the star of OutKast’s early records before André transformed into 3000 and visibly took over with his fashion and bars.
I’ve met Big Boi, Killer Mike, Andre 3000 and Cee Lo. Got to chill around Dungeon Family when I was rapping and all these guys are hella cool and down to earth
Most people that don’t give Big Boi his propers were late to the game. MAYBE started listening around Stankonia, but let’s be honest, most people that don’t give him his flowers only listen to The Love Below and act like he was nothing more than dead weight to Mr 3 Stacks. The reality is this man waaay more dope to ME personally. And a lot of longtime fans of both. Yeah Andre is more lyrical but that’s no knock to Big. I don’t even think Andre is all that better lyrically, it’s just more esoteric. Fact is they were the perfect compliment to each other’s styles and personalities. I don’t think 3Stacks would’ve ever gotten anywhere near his level of success if he even got any at all without Big Boi. Andre pushed artistically and helped build a new sound over and over again and Big helped keep him reeled in a bit and kept things more balanced and kept heads boppin. I remember back in the day with people complaining after every single album drop people bitching and moaning about being weird and sound being suspect. Fact is they were ahead of their time and some people just weren’t ready sonically for something that far ahead, decades ahead, of the standard of the time. To me, I love every album (except one) and for different reasons. So many people have a different favorite album and that’s such a beautiful thing to me. To me.. Outkast had the best run of any artist of all-times. Best discography beginning to end. Hands down. No debate. The fact so many people have a different favorite album of theirs solidifies my point. I’ll end by saying I personally liked the earlier albums up to Aquemini the best. But I have to give some extra love to Big Boi for his solo career too post SpeakerBoxx. His 3 solo albums were at the top of my favorite albums over the past 15 years. Outkast is the only artists I can listen through every track on every album and not feel the need to skip. Even the skits! Anything new that drops from either of them, I’ll instantly drop whatever I’m doing and go listen to the new track over and over again. Hearing the new Killer Mike track with Andre3000 that just dropped the other week was a good day!
I need a Dungeon Family reunion. 3000 can come, or he can not. either way, I just wanna see Big Boi, Mike, Sleepy, Cee Lo and GoodieMOB all back together. Hell bring Future too
No but fun fact: Rico Wade and Future are cousins. Wade was the producer and he introduced him to the group. Way back then, Future started out under the moniker ‘Meathead’ but they began calling him Future because it was obvious that he was going to be ‘the future’ of hip hop music.
