      They did! 2014 Hangout Festival, Gulf shores Alabama. Big Boi and Andre blew it out! Nostalgia washed over me like the waves on the beach. We were all singing along with every song. I hope you get to see them too one day. ❤❤

      because Organized Noise/ Dungeon Family put their rappers through a bootcamp ... they would make them run/jog miles while rapping verses ... it helped to increase their breath control tremendously

    There ain’t many tiny desk concerts where the audio sounds too hot, but this sounds so clear and the musicians all sound perfect like the audio in a recording studio. 💜

      That's funny, because I've watched quite a few and I've been thoroughly impressed by the mix and engineering of most all of them. It's not easy to EQ that set-up to start with.

    Changed the game *and* solidified Outkast's place in the history books by not only making another *incredible* album but by proving that they *continuously* create masterpieces!!
    And yeah i know, Southerplayalistic.... also changed the game but it was the run of next generation hiphop they produced that solidified their presence in music.

      Why would you need fire extinguishers for this? There's no way a Big Boi performance would produce that type of fire.
      After all, it's physically impossible for heat to exist around him. He's still cooler than a polar bear's toe nail.

    This is straight FIYAH! Big Boi still killin' em on the mic. In my opinion, Big Boi has never been in Dre's shadow ... they just have different styles that appeal to different people, collectively. That's what makes OutKast so great.

    Best thing about NPR Music Tiny Desk Concerts is it introduces me to great music and musicians I might not have heard of before. Big Boi is one of those. This was a great performance.

      @@henryhill92 Yes, and the only one I knew was Andre 3000. Had no clue Big Boi was part of it until I looked him up after seeing this video. I like music, will listen to any genre, but I'm no expert. Usually never remember who's in any band, lol. Only band or group I know the names of all the members are The Beatles. I'm pathetic that way. 😛 lol.

      Big Boi gets overshadowed by Andre 3000 a little I think but he’s just as dope, he’s released 3 solo albums and 1 collab with Phantogram that are all worth a listen. Just like with OutKast he always brings a fresh sound to his music that you just don’t hear anywhere else in hip-hop and that’s largely thanks to Sleepy Brown, the guy that was on his left.

    Crazy being able to watch these legends like this. Been a HUGE fan of outkast for almost 30 years, they are undeniable greatness. Aquemini is one of the greatest hip hop records of all time imo but all their music is incredible

    Having listened to this and then listened to all these songs on their original albums afterward, I can confidently say this is one of the only live performances I VASTLY prefer over the album recordings
