I'm talking about new PC builds and prebuilt buyers (since we are talking about buying a new prebuilt gaming PC). We regularly poll our viewers and if they are not at 1440p or 4K right now they plan to make that their gaming resolution in the future. Very few are looking to buy new for 1080p (and usually those are esports fanatics).
I would also like to say that if you go full budget on the prebuilt systems with an RTX 3060. If the 3060 is the single fan (Pheonix), make sure you have excellent airflow in your case or you will see high temps over 85c. If you can ensure you get a dual fan or a larger case allowing for good airflow you should be good to go. I made that mistake and after getting a new case, my temps dropped almost 20c at full use.
No mention of flight sims here, are they considered gaming or just don’t need that much in gpu and cpu? I have an rtx 3060 and intel i7. Was considering upgrading but do I need to?

The best would be the same as my recommendations on the best for gaming, with at least 32gb of RAM and 2tb storage. Take a look at the 4k recommendations in the description with those features
My first ever prebuilt pc is my current pc, it's a Cyberpower and I got it around 3-4 years ago. I love it dearly, but it was on the lower end, so, I'm looking for an upgrade as I get more into streaming and wanting to play some higher-end games. I will always prefer prebuilt, because I am horrified of accidentally breaking something expensive if I build my own... 😅 I'm glad there's some Cyberpowers on this list, because I believe they're pretty trustworthy. Thank you for your video and your insight!
It's not that you need 16GB for a 4060 Ti or RX 7600 XT - they would have been fine with 12GB, it's that they have more than 8GB which for their 128-bit memory bus means it's clamshelled on so you get 16GB (2x8). It's just the fact that they have more than 8GB which is critical.
So he's saying the 4k options can do 4K if you want to go 4K, but they're also very good for 1440p. If you tell me your budget and what you're using the PC for I can try and pick out a Pre-Built for you.
What is the customer support like from companies like Skytech or ABS? I think that’s an important consideration for people buying pre-builts, otherwise they would likely build it themselves.
@@MxgicPlays I genuinely don't know because I've never purchased from any of them ... my guess is Jason hasn't either, which is not a good thing when recommending these systems. The companies I've purchased from that I can highly recommend are Maingear and Falcon Northwest, but you pay more for their quality.
4 days of research, 17 videos on CPU vs Gpu and combinations. i cant even begin to tell you how much the first 10 minutes of this video were the most informative, straight forward comparisons i ever found as to what are comparable units for builds, what to avoid and what is best. and pairing that up with pre builts that have proper groupings finally told me what i needed to know over all and thanks to you i have a solid idea of what i want and how much ill need to spend. ive been trying to find a build that fits my needs, but all i could find is videos about builds based on price points and budgets. how do i know how much i need to budget if i dont know what i need?? lol. this video told me what the teirs are for components, relevant builds, and based on the price points, told me roughly where i would need to budget to get something ill be happy with. all i knew was i wanted something 70 to 80% the power of a current top builds that can handle 1440p, VR and multi tasking with some upgradability if i should want to i know some people want a gaming pc now and have 1000.00 and need to know what the best build is for that price, but my philosophy is find what will do what you need and make you happy, and if it is more than your budget, either find ways to cut the price down, or wait a little longer and put more money in the budget. if the PC right for me turns out to be 2000.00 then i should save up for that instead of just getting something i can afford right this second. im shooting for 1440p gaming with provisions for VR gaming, CAD design and 3d modeling, streaming and light video editing. preferably something i wont need to upgrade for 7 to 10 years so im not ending up with lots of computer towers all over lol. i feel im roughtly in the ballpark of an i7 with a 4070ti thats 16gb and now that i know that, i can figure out the ram i need, the type of cooling and case size ill need as well as which board yada yada. once the cpu and gpu fell into place i could figure out what else i need and have a rough idea of cost, or at least i can make a shopping list to get an idea of cost to save up for which was ultimately my goal
@@kelley09162 i am getting a parts list together with prices and i can look at prebuilts, if i find one that is what im looking for for the same price or cheaper, then i can get that and save time, costs and hassles of building my own. if not, building my own would be fine. my goal is to find the system i need and want, then save up for it over a couple paychecks. i have money set asside i just need to know how much more ill need. the hard part isnt building as much as figuring out the parts i need to get to ensure it works correctly. my base requirements are minimum 16gb vram to cover what i need for VR, an intel processor with integrated graphics and at least 8 cores for productivity tasks i will need to do and i want a cpu and gpu that will compliment each other performance wise. everything else will be based on what the cpu and gpu are, which is why i feel an i7 and a 4070 ti super 16gb are probably a good combo that will last me a while. should be good for vr gaming while streaming and also productivity when im doing other hobbies and its solid 1440p gaming and still 4k compatible. based on a quick back of the napkin math its about 2100.00 over all, but thats without price shopping so probably less. ultimately i dont need it right away as im in a transitioning period, so by the time im ready for one, this will be good, or the same money could get me a better rig, my goal is by the end of summer but thatd close to the new line up of gear, so there might be some used 4090s going on the market for a lower price than the current price of the 4070 ti super lol
@@Kwstr42 so if it help I made this build for you. You can either go with the DASHFLOW XT LITE or ZOOMFLOW 360 XT for the CPU Cooler. Both are currently the same price, It just depends on how much RGB you want. It's list / CXYzcH in PC Part Picker

Jason, i know i have been coming back and forth and been bothering you with my unability to pick but- I have a question for motherboard's power phase, is it important for a 7500F? (MSI B650M-A WiFi for (8+2+1) 190$ vs AsRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi for (6+2+1, no nvme heatsink but supports gen 5 ssds)160$, and what do you think about ATX 3.0 psus? should i pau about 10$ - 15$ more for a PCIE 5 support? (Fractal Ion Gold 80+ 750W for 90$ vs MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 for 101$) both of them is listed on A tiers but the MSI being on the speculative position, and i do plan on getting the 7800 XT, Thanks!
Getting a PCIE 5.0 PSU isn't that important since you're not getting a Nvidia 4000 GPU. The new PSUs come with the 12VHPWR Connector to match that of the 4000 Series GPU but since you're getting an AMD GPU it doesn't matter.
How future proof is the skytech azure 7800x3d? It's insane , for that price it only comes with 1tb space. Also.. the eclipse 2 has 64 ram with 2tb bit no top fans.
Hey! In regards to the Lenovo Legion T5 (5600g/3060) Any concern about the output of the PSU, it looks to only be 400w? When I look it up, the recommended PSU for a 3060 is >550w.

Hi Jason. Another great video. I cannot believe some higher-end PCs only come with 1TB NVME SSDs. This is another component where you do not want to go cheap. If you want to recycle a 5 1/4 inch Blu-Ray CD player and/or add a nice-sized digital LED system monitor to the front of your case, I recommend getting a case with 2 or 3 5 1/4 inch drive bays. And, yes, they are still made.
Hey Jason, Is something to be done about the high draw power from AMD gpu's? I have a 7800xt and bought it because it was cheaper and supossed to be better but i'm using 70 watts for just pur ebrowsing. I did allot of browsing tweaking settings mostly in Adrenaline software and browers cuz i have limited knowledge but most of the settings were already disabled wich was what other people suffered from. I'm just playing osrs and browsing and i'm using 100 wats with a single screen coming with almost maxed out v ram usage... The only thing i haven't tried withing my limited knowledge is changing DP cable
Do you have any video resilolution scaling going on? Nvidia has "video super resolution" that upscales in browser video, but it cranks my 3089 to 300w. Took me a while to figure out why I was feeling so much heat from my case 😅
Theres a prebuilt pc at walmart. Its called orangexin i cant find one video online about it. They look good and ok specs. Any info would be appreciated from anyone. They have about 150 diffrent options. But theres not any reviews.
I think that is a very bad move by AMD to not have any AMD gpu prebuilts out right now. What were they thinking ? Oh ya, that's what they're known for. Just eating the leftover crumbs of Ngreedia.
Hello, been watching you for a while and I've taken a lot of advice from your videos regarding the improvement of my own system. But, I've yet to see a video on laptops. Yes laptops. I myself, like many other people, am looking for the best gaming laptop/workstation laptop out there in terms of bang for buck. I know your name is PC builder, but I could definitely use your help choosing a laptop as I'm heading off to college soon and I'd like to be able to utilize it for both work and gaming during breaks when I'm not doing anything else.
For Laptops check out Jarrod's Tech. He does laptop revoews and in the comments of his videos he includes a link to Laptop deals which I believe are updated daily.
I gotta say if an absolute idiot like me can build my own there’s really ZERO reason for a prebuilt unless you get for cheaper than diy which I’ve only seen once ever

Ive been eyeing the top two PCs you have linked and Newegg having the Skytech with the 4090 at $2999 seems too good to pass up. Jason, what are your thoughts on 7800xt vs 6800xt GPU, I been building my first PC and only thing left is GPU, but I struggle to pick against these two since some say 6800xt is better , some say 7800xt is better and gonna age better... My composition in case you need it: My PC is for coding and programing(Machine Learning and Deep Learning) + also to be good for gaming (not priority), also I am not person who plays newest FPS games (maybe sometimes) mostly strategy games like Total War. This is my build: Case: NZXT H6 FLOW (up to 365 mm (14.37) inches in length for GPU) so it should be fine with 68 and 78 hopefully. PSU: SEASONIC Focus GX 750W ATX 3.0, 80+Gold (ATX3-FOCUS-GX-750) Gen5, apart from dragon model 7800xt which said recommended 800W all others should be fine.. (p.s. its I think at least B rated on your list :D) CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 with Wraith Prism cooler included (Since its not overclocked version do you think included cooler is enough?) RAM: G.Skill Flare 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL 36 (maybe not the best choice but what to do) Motherboard: TUF GAMING B650 +Wifi Storage: Samsung Pro 1 tb SSD THANKS for reading and really looking forward to your reply and advice as in all your videos
I think the prices in the comments aren't right. The Skytech Ryzen 7800X3D is shown as $2.799,00. That seems pretty overpriced compared to other shops.
That is an RTX 4080 GPU prebuilt you're looking at with a Ryzen 7800X3D CPU. Look at the GPU first (not CPU), as that is the most important component for the pricing. Skytech typically has extremely competitive prices, and while that one is a more premium 4080 prebuilt, it is priced appropriately for the market right now.
Don’t know if you’ll respond but I’m looking for a starter pc for 1440p gaming, do you think the pc at 18:05 is a viable pc and allows for me to upgrade in the future?
@@PCBuilderChannelI saw that this specific pc has a fan cooler on the cpu, would it be recommended to buy a AIO cooler along with this to switch it out?
I hate aio with a passion. Their life expectancy is unreliable, if you buy one you better buy two because in 3 years you'll have to change it. If you get a good and appropriate air cooler and don't game in a tiny ass bedroom hot as the freaking desert there's nothing an air cooler can't do that an aio can and it will last you way longer.
Not as consistent in their quality as I would prefer, but check out individual reviews of the models you are looking at. HP and Levnovo are OEM brands so keep that in mind
It shouldn’t be loud at all. 4K should be where you start hearing loud noises depending on your build. 1440p can also be “noisy” depending on the build but it shouldn’t be.
Why was the 6700XT from AMD mentioned at all in the beginning recommended cards? That thing crushes most of the ones given and it’s cheaper than a lot of other 12GB AMD or Nvidia cards?

I saw that. It seems good to me. Just to make you aware there's another option for $1999 but by iBuyPower. It downgrades the CPU to the 7700X but upgrades the GPU to the 4070 Ti Super, 2TB SSD vs 1, and better RAM at 5600mhz vs 5200. The Cyberpower is good if you like the Blue Color though.

If looking for a Pre-Built I would look at the iBUYPOWER SlateMesh with a 7700 CPU and a 7700XT at Best Buy. It's $1200 so Tax will put you over budget but it's the only option around your budget I've seen with a GPU with over 8GB of VRAM which is what you ideally want.

Sad how all of these prebuilts use an Nvidia GPU for their rig rather than an AMD GPU. It's most likely for more sales, since, you know, there are way more Nvidia fanboys than AMD fanboys because "they make better more powerful GPUs".

@PCBuilderChannel Wow, you are such a great source of information. Is an Intel i712700 paired with an RTX3060 12GB and 32 GB 4800mhz RAM a good build? Please let me know you thoughts.

That's a really good deal. Congrats 👏
What do you guys recommend?? Am planning to get my first ever gaming pc on my birthday but within the budget where I can play the latest games running smoothly Games like MW3 and others
What's your budget for this PC? Once I know I can try and find a Pre-Built for you. Assuming you don't want to build your own.
Could you suggest the best pre-built desktop for high-end video editing
The best would be the same as my recommendations on the best for gaming, with at least 32gb of RAM and 2tb storage. Take a look at the 4k recommendations in the description with those features
What's your budget for this Pre-Built so I can try and find one for you?
My first ever prebuilt pc is my current pc, it's a Cyberpower and I got it around 3-4 years ago. I love it dearly, but it was on the lower end, so, I'm looking for an upgrade as I get more into streaming and wanting to play some higher-end games. I will always prefer prebuilt, because I am horrified of accidentally breaking something expensive if I build my own... 😅 I'm glad there's some Cyberpowers on this list, because I believe they're pretty trustworthy.
Thank you for your video and your insight!
Thanks for sharing!
Can someone help me to Built i Streaming + gaming pc with 2000€
Those 16gb low end cards don't have enough compute to put the vram to use.
Can someone help me understand the 1440 vs 4k thing? I have a 240hz 1440 monitor should be buying a 1440 computer on your list? Not understanding
So he's saying the 4k options can do 4K if you want to go 4K, but they're also very good for 1440p.
If you tell me your budget and what you're using the PC for I can try and pick out a Pre-Built for you.
I understand now so the ones that do 4k are better than the ones that do 1440p I gotchu

What is the customer support like from companies like Skytech or ABS? I think that’s an important consideration for people buying pre-builts, otherwise they would likely build it themselves.
Which one do you think is better here, should I cop the abs one for 1400
@@MxgicPlays I genuinely don't know because I've never purchased from any of them ... my guess is Jason hasn't either, which is not a good thing when recommending these systems. going from 16 gb of ram to 32 gb of ram was one of the best decisions i ever made
RAM is super important. Especially as programs get hungry. Sadly companies are charging massive $$$ for RAM in the laptop/smartphone/Apple ecosystem.
Hey my budget is 3,500 is the first pc you listed good for that because I’m trying to run good looking games at 1440p with great frame rates
Well that's a 4K PC. It's overkill for 1440p. You shouldn't be paying that much for a 1440p.
Best Buy has an iBuyPower with a 7900X and 7900XTX for 2300 which is still overkill for 1440p but isn't as bad.
@@kelley09162 alright thank you 🙏

how did bro know I need roblox pc 😳😳😳😳😳😳
It's quite unbelievable that some still play at 1080p, even if they can afford higher resolution. But i guess they don't know what they are missing...
The only downside to upgrading is the computer will need to be upgraded sooner to compensate for the decrease in FPS.
fps gamers don't need more
1080p with max graphics looks better than 1440p with medium graphics
4 days of research, 17 videos on CPU vs Gpu and combinations. i cant even begin to tell you how much the first 10 minutes of this video were the most informative, straight forward comparisons i ever found as to what are comparable units for builds, what to avoid and what is best. and pairing that up with pre builts that have proper groupings finally told me what i needed to know over all and thanks to you i have a solid idea of what i want and how much ill need to spend.
ive been trying to find a build that fits my needs, but all i could find is videos about builds based on price points and budgets. how do i know how much i need to budget if i dont know what i need?? lol. this video told me what the teirs are for components, relevant builds, and based on the price points, told me roughly where i would need to budget to get something ill be happy with. all i knew was i wanted something 70 to 80% the power of a current top builds that can handle 1440p, VR and multi tasking with some upgradability if i should want to
i know some people want a gaming pc now and have 1000.00 and need to know what the best build is for that price, but my philosophy is find what will do what you need and make you happy, and if it is more than your budget, either find ways to cut the price down, or wait a little longer and put more money in the budget. if the PC right for me turns out to be 2000.00 then i should save up for that instead of just getting something i can afford right this second.
im shooting for 1440p gaming with provisions for VR gaming, CAD design and 3d modeling, streaming and light video editing. preferably something i wont need to upgrade for 7 to 10 years so im not ending up with lots of computer towers all over lol.
i feel im roughtly in the ballpark of an i7 with a 4070ti thats 16gb and now that i know that, i can figure out the ram i need, the type of cooling and case size ill need as well as which board yada yada. once the cpu and gpu fell into place i could figure out what else i need and have a rough idea of cost, or at least i can make a shopping list to get an idea of cost to save up for which was ultimately my goal
Are you looking for a Pre-Built or are you building your own, and if building your own do you need help picking out the parts?

Getting a PCIE 5.0 PSU isn't that important since you're not getting a Nvidia 4000 GPU. The new PSUs come with the 12VHPWR Connector to match that of the 4000 Series GPU but since you're getting an AMD GPU it doesn't matter.

Kinda yea. Just make sure you get an AMD CPU because their 7000 series CPUs will be viable for longer vs Intel.

Expand the description for links to our recommendations sorted by price, there's some good deals at 1k right now and any of those should be good for this but you can double check by checking the system requirements for HOTAS
You need to always provide intel and AMD CPU options, as well as Nvidia and AMD video cards with all your builds. Some of us will never buy AMD desktop products.
There are lots of options linked in the description!
