I know this episode is focused on three builds for September, and they all look great, but man, this has to be one of the hardest times to commit to a new build. With potential new graphics cards coming soon, October Prime Day right around the corner, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals in November, it feels like waiting could save a lot of money or offer better options. If someone can hold off a bit longer, it might be worth it given all the big deals and releases coming up
I disagree personally for a lot of builders. The sales are never more than $15-$20 off, the new stuff is going to be expensive and hard to get, and I always recommend people factor in the value of their time. But truly it’s up to the individual
Great video as usual. Please consider making a video about PC building for VR. I've seen people talking about VR mods for Cyberpunk and a bunch of other great games and I'm very curious about what it takes to have a decent experience.
I'm thinking of something like the $850 build, but I want pure performance. Not a penny spent on appearance. If it happens to look like it was built in '95, so be it.
JASON - thank you for this great Info ! I just upgraded my Ryzen 5600X CPU to 5700X3D -- WHICH rgb COOLER do I need - AND is the ARCTIC MX-6 thermal paste good enough for this ????
I put together a system with partially used parts. I got an amazing deal on a B550 board, 32gb of DDR4 3600 and Ryzen 7 5700g for $180. I went with the montech XR case and got an 850w high rated PSU hoping to spend big in November for a 7900 level GPU. Very interested in the rumored 8000 series GPUs.
Jason the ps5 is alot closer to the 6700 rather than the 2070. It seems like, that is what it seems the system was based in it’s just a more power starved 6700. The shocks between the 2 are pretty similar.
I just wanted to drop by to let you know how much I adore the video content you create. Your passion and creativity really shine through, and I find myself eagerly looking forward to each new piece you put out. Keep up the fantastic work-I’m always impressed and inspired by what you do! But I think that AMD Ryzen 5 5600 is too weak for AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT on 1920 × 1080 pixels screen resolution for General Tasks. This configuration has 28.7% of processor bottleneck .
Thanks! I wouldn't recommend 1080p for the 7700 XT, mostly because that GPU is a very good 1440p one but also to lessen the CPU bottleneck in games. I wouldn't worry about the FPS bottleneck on the desktop as those tasks are super easy for the GPU.
@@kelley09162 Dang, it gets overwhelming with all the forums and suggestions.. I overpaid for the nitro+ by prob $100 vs going with a standard GPU... Could have just got the 7900GRE.

Is that what you're looking for? If so I could try and help you pick out the parts. You could also check out the Lian Li A3 Case as it's a small Micro-ATX Case and would allow you to save on the Motherboard and PSU.
IMO, base on some research I did, the sweet spot for a card that I can consider with "Value" for gaming would be either Rx 6750xt (Mid performance, does amazing in 1440p and extremely well in 1080p), Rx 6800 and xt variant (High performance, does extremely well in 1440p and 1080p), and possibly Rx 7900GRE (Extremely High performance, 7900gre is in a class of its own, if it weren't only with its price points I can consider purchasing a 7900GRE rn but I don't see myself really playing maxed out settings in games, but that 20gb vram is making me consider). So if your budgets for GPU are at 300$ below I suggest the 6750xt, if its 450$ I suggest the 6800xt (this card aged like fine wine and its basically the 7800xt at a lower cost), and if your budget is 550$+ best value would be the 7900gre. Anyways, great vid overall!

As someone who decided to wait for zen 5 in order to build a new PC and got greatly disappointed, this period is a very bad period to build a PC (in EU at least). Prices are even worse that what they were 3-6months ago and you are basically buying old hardware for prices way too close to msrp. I trusted amd to impress me with zen5 and i got backstabbed.
The fact that you can pick up a 7500f for $100 or 7600/5700X3D for $130, the PS5 Pro doesn't really make any sense at all. If you already have a PS5, look into building around a 5600/5700X3D or entry level AM5 like the 7500f/7600 or get a base PS5. There's also bundle deals from MC that's always available if you live near a site and Newgg for the 5700X3D for $260 or a tad more for the 7600/X deal for the rest of us.
Great vid! Hope you'll recover well from the hurricane and all is well. I love these gaming builds full of information, but would love to get a similar video for productivity focus or productivity gaming shared focus, just to see how much different they'd be and get a bit more wide ranging relevant info. I haven't bought a GPU. I'm looking at the 7900XT but I'm really worried that AMD is going to drop the RDNA 4 cards really soon and I'll waste my money and feel stupid in the Price to Performance departmernt. What is your suggestion? I'm thinking of trying to borrow a friend's 1080ti for 6 months becasue at the moment I only play CS2 anyway.
@@kelley09162 Those are the two im looking at! Worried that something will come out in the next few months that has much better price to performance. Or that I could get 7900xtx performance for price of GRE or 7800xt etc
Hi Jason. You have been a great source of knowledge and guidance. I have an issue that may not be appropriate here but I need to ask. I am building my first PC and have pretty much everything connected (don’t know if it is all correct yet). I am installing a Gigabyte 4090 OC, except when I opened it up they have a 16-pin to a 4- splitter of 8-pin connectors that would not fit my Corsair 1000 W PSU even if it was long enough. How are folks handling this? Amazon has the same type of connector with four splits that would fit the PSU… but the PSU 8-pin connectors only use 6 of the 8 pins in each connector. Is there a proper solution? Thank you for all of your help. Love your cat, I have 3.

Carry on with the PS5 pro bashing, don't mind us 👌🏽
Always nice to see these build videos. I'd love to see you add 32" monitor options as well.

Great video as usual.
Please consider making a video about PC building for VR. I've seen people talking about VR mods for Cyberpunk and a bunch of other great games and I'm very curious about what it takes to have a decent experience.
It’s not my area of expertise to be honest

I don’t no, but all parts are linked in the description
I'm thinking of something like the $850 build, but I want pure performance. Not a penny spent on appearance. If it happens to look like it was built in '95, so be it.

7700xt is 350$ on Amazon today
Dang, I wish I could get these prices on GPUs in Canada! Cheapest RX 7700 XT I can find comes out to US$426 plus 13% tax where I live!
Hello Jason I'm back until the next round of hardware releases
Love your videos on this stuff. Thr temptation is real right now haha
Love your channel man. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks a ton!
Love these Videos Jason you are awesome!

i can say with confidence that is a ps5 killer at a very good price Jason. cpu is way more better than cpu of ps5 pro well done 😘
Thank you!
At my Costco here in Fairbanks AK, they have a 180hz 1440p HDR 400 Acer monitor at 31.5" for only $180
great as always! although when it comes to monitors my personal preference is this:
24” full hd
27” 1440p
34” ultrawide 1440p
32” 4k
40” ultrawide 4k
Hi Jaon great video. Thanks
Thank you!
Make sure you're getting that GDDR6X!! Nvidia is up to their old tricks.
looking fit Jason. keep it up
Hey thanks! I appreciate that
Would have gone with the Taichi Lite for the high end build at $240 (breaking the white rules, because who cares, it's such an absurd upgrade)
Glad I watched this video before I rebuilt my PC. Went with the 7600X CPU and 7800XT Saphire Nitro+. What do you think?
Good choice, though Nitro+ GPUs are usually more expensive vs others models so usually not worth it
Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it.
@@kelley09162 Dang, it gets overwhelming with all the forums and suggestions.. I overpaid for the nitro+ by prob $100 vs going with a standard GPU... Could have just got the 7900GRE.
@@ShaneFlores21 that's okay. If you're happy with it that's what matters most.

I would love to see an ITX build @PCBuilderChannel
Is that what you're looking for?
If so I could try and help you pick out the parts.
You could also check out the Lian Li A3 Case as it's a small Micro-ATX Case and would allow you to save on the Motherboard and PSU.
Check out our mini tix build guide on the channel!
Anyways, great vid overall!
do you have any plans on uploading more often? I think you are the best channel about pc building on youtube right now and i want more content! (sorry im too broke for members channel :(
Thank you! We generally do two uploads a week, Thursdays and Saturdays. That’s about all we can handle with our 3 person 3 cat team for now
As someone who decided to wait for zen 5 in order to build a new PC and got greatly disappointed, this period is a very bad period to build a PC (in EU at least). Prices are even worse that what they were 3-6months ago and you are basically buying old hardware for prices way too close to msrp. I trusted amd to impress me with zen5 and i got backstabbed.
Frustrating!
Let me know if you come to Costa Rica to show you the prices we deal with 😁✌
I enjoy your videos a lot! Thank you sir!❤
So glad! Thanks for watching
Jason makes me want to build a PC soo Bad!

I love these gaming builds full of information, but would love to get a similar video for productivity focus or productivity gaming shared focus, just to see how much different they'd be and get a bit more wide ranging relevant info. Again, thanks, and all the best there with the recovery!
To be honest for anyone doing basic productivity I’d recommend the exact same builds as here. Only if you are don’t professional level would I recommend something different and if so, see our 9950X build guide
@@PCBuilderChannel Great, thank you for the reply. I'll check out that 9950X guide as a reference. All the best over there.
Great value. I don't think I could go down to below 32 1440P for past few years my future 4K monitor has to be that or larger I feel. PS5 Pro beaten by PCs.
Jason, coming from the UK. I usually message you on my other account haha. I hope the storm has passed and everything is ok without any damage.
I just bought all the parts for my £1100 PC build.

Montech XR
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (it was on offer so cheaper than TeamGroup)

However...
7900XT is a good choice. The 7900GRE is also good if you want to save money.
All systems go seems now is a great time to build a new PC. Happy to know you all are all right and safe. Keep taking care of each other, be safe and God bless. 👍💪🐈⬛💪✌
Thank you!

Why does the $850 build says Compatibility Issue Red banner on the top?

Cheap in the USA not Canada add 30% to 50% onto that price our wages are close to the same these days for comparable jobs and we get significant more tax up here. A 7800xt costs $700 not including tax for the cheapest option for example.
