I got the 4080s for $950usd (1299cad) w/ my first pc build 2 months ago and im happy with it. I know I overpaid but I'd been wanting to get off console for a while as I was paying around $200 a year for subscriptions and they both ran out recently, so I didnt wanna wait any more. I definitly learned a lot since building my first pc and in hindsight I think I should've gone AMD, but I've also enjoyed experiencing what raytracing can really bring to the table (not worth the hit to performance imo)

I had sold some things and saved some money and when the RX 7900 XT came out I was instantly drawn to it and bought one a month after it was released. I now feel like I paid way to much for it and it was a learning lesson, but at the same time I LOVE this GPU and I'm very happy with it. My first higher end card so I guess I don't know enough to say much but it is a great GPU to me.

✋ paired my ASRock Challenger 7900 GRE with a Ryzen 7600. I'd love to pair it with a 7600X3D, and the fact that I'm 45 minutes away from a Micro Center certainly makes it tempting, but I'm happy with what I have... for now.
As someone with a 3050 Ti Mobile 4 GB laptop, you're absolutely right that low-end Nvidia isn't great. I ended up getting a 7900 GRE build a couple weeks ago and that is a huge upgrade even if I mainly play on 1080p IPS and CRTs right now. I do plan on getting a 1440p 360 Hz QD-OLED.
Well cut yourself some slack as that is a low end laptop GPU, and all low end laptop GPUs, no matter the brand, all suck and become outdated too quickly.

My first build last year had a R5 5600 pair w a 6650XT, this was a great introduction into the PC gaming, just last week built a better system with a 7800X3D and a 7800XT
Thanks for the vidya. Been gathering info on gpu' in particular for few weeks to go through with my build and replace my current rig i put together in 2012. The overall state of the pc parts industry looks pretty grim vs what was back then and ill probably wait at least till end of the year sales, maybe longer since i need a new monitor aswell. Aside from the performance gain which will be huge even if i end up going with am4/ 1700 intel 12th gen. But i honestly doubt this new pc will last for 12 years used daily.
Still like checking these: Have experience this gen 7900XTX, 7800XT, and 4090 lastly. The vram and performance are interesting as 16gb will become the norm eventually. I've pushed 20gb vram on the XTX before maxing out for seeing how far it can go. The heat on the XTX wasn't great but maybe I'll try undervolting sometime.

Well 7800XT can be purchased for 469. Lower perhaps sometimes. But for 31$ extra it's very decent deal. Maybe even fantastic deal depending on rest of the games. That being said 7800XT is decently priced to begin with...even if it isn't far supperior to it's predecesor the 6800XT .

Looked at a few reviews for the 2 and the 7800xt was slightly better. If you give me an idea, thank you very much :)
looking amazon right now they got a 6800 XT for $500, which I think is about in line for the performance gain over the 6800... But then Newegg for the moment is offering a 2 game bundle(one being Space Marine 2, which I did want to play) when you buy a 7000 series card, which sweetens the deal on the 7800 XT and 7900 GRE... I have 2x 3070ti cards, but 1 just crapped out on me. can I just get a budget intel card to run 4 monitors and leave my main monitor which I occasionally use for gaming connected to the rtx 3070? Will I still be able to setup the "multiple display" to easily go between all the monitors or do they all have to be nvidia to use their "multi monitor setup" feature? Let me know please, would really hate to pay $300 just to buy 4060 just to use it for 4 monitors that just run data screens...
Just got the 7600xt with a cashback and the free game I was planning to buy anyway so it made a pretty good deal for me. But I will not use it for gaming. It is for playing around with LLMs - i think for that use case it is a great option because of the 16GB of VRAM.

Just got a 9700x for a new build. Will be pairing it with the 7900xt. That is if the 8700xt doesn't show up this year. Rumor has it that it will have near 4080 performance for rasterization and 4070ti performance for ray tracing. All for $500-600. It that turns out to be true then that will be next card. Again assuming it's released this year.
I’m building a PC at the moment, I know it’s too early to tell but, if you had to guess make a prediction on what GPUs would hold up best by the time GTA 6 comes out? Do you think a 7800XT would hold up by the time gta comes out or would it be too demanding and you would be better off trying your luck with something a little more powerful like a 7900 or 4070 ti super or 4800 super?????
I use my XFX Merc RX 7800 XT with a 4K 144Hz HDR600 Mini LED monitor from Sony, the M9. Even without any upscaling or frame-generating I get more than 120 fps+ in a game like Helldivers 2 and God of War. Even "hard to run" games like Cyberpunk is working fine any smooth and even a little raytracing if you add frame-generating. So yes at 1440p you don't really need more.
What kind of settings are you using, then? I get about 100 FPS on the GRE for Helldivers II on 1080p native ultra and 1440p benchmarks I've seen are about 70 FPS on ultra. Then again, I'm not overclocking or doing anything crazy.

It comes with ram (decent ram), a really good Mobo, and the best CPU on the market for gaming. The CPU alone would have cost $700-$800 going back a year. Any of the X3D CPUs will do just fine.AMD Ryzen™ 5 7600X3D
ASUS TUF Gaming B650 bundle for $450 is more than you will need on the mobo/ram/CPU side.
I got the 4080 super brand new for 750€. Happy with the buy, crazy performance
I actually have the 6600, it works extremely well and imo and underrated card, it runs all games in 1080p with no issue, thanks for mentioning this card
*If RTX 5060 will have same performance as 4070 and same price as 4060 that will be the new budget king*
We can keep dreaming
Yeah, maybe the same as a 4060 Ti...

Love the channel! I'm getting my Flux Pro case on Monday for a Asus Rog Strix X670E - Ryzen 7 7800X3D - Asus TUF AMD 7900XT - LianLi 360 w/ RGB fans - Trident Z5 32gb 6400mhzm 1000W PSU build! Super excited coming from a B550 - Ryzen 5 5600x - EVGA 3060ti FTW3 - Crucial 3200Mhz - 750PSU. I also game in 1440p so this is going to be a huge help! Been saving up a long time. Oh and the cashier at microcenter forgot to ring up the AIO so...$189 free & the 7800X3D was $276.12 on sale, and I got the 7900XT for $750. I really wanted the 5090 but couldn't wait anymore This will be more than fine for the next 5-7 years or so though, I'm happy
I got my 3060 during the pandemic panic and it has served me well, no issues whatsoever....I'll look this black friday if something drops as a super deal it might make me move up.
I’ve always been happy about the stevemasday( my birthday is late September)sale every year. This year I bought a 7900 GRE 7900 XT and a sparkle A770 Titan all for less than a 4080. My three rigs were in serious need of an upgrade having a 5700xt, rx 580, and an rx 370. So all the upgrades yay.
I watched countless videos on GPUs. You win because you cover the practical side of all things GPU.
Bought the RX 7900 XTX a couple of hours ago. It will arrive by next week, I can't wait to see it perform.
Sweet!
Just finished a build, 7800x3d with a 7900xt. Love it✌
That stache is immaculate!!!!!
Upgraded my 1080ti to a 7900 XTX Nitro+ , It would be sad if AMD do make this the last unicorn.
Still underrated channel. I would say the best one as its paying attention to the smallest details.
Randomly came across your channel and it has quickly become one of my fav tech channels.
I like these videos. This man is very calm and sensible. He's not some Hype beast tech influencer. And it's not a channel that only shows benchmark numbers on the screen.
Another banger vid as usual, keep up the good work!
Great video as always!
btw love the moustache, suits you well!
Thank you!
Thank you for helping me choose the rx 6800 as my 1st graphics card for my 1st pc build. I'm looking forward for when it all comes together.
i just bought one too bro, new build
bro you helped me build my very first pc, love the channel! i only had some slight differences that stumped me for an hour or so until i found the right video but other than that it was a piece of cake! also your separate video on setting up windows was so clutch😭 thank you man
I have a RX 6750 XT coming today!
Great card & nice choice. Just built a rig with the same card.
Man don't buy an old GPU it's been 5 years old
@@fightnight14Came out in 2022 and still a great GPU.
@@rudiedj23 Is the 6750xt with a ryzen 7600 worth it for 1000USD and enough for atleast the next 5 years?
Amazing explanation for every card. Love the points on the left, instant sub
Thank you!
I had never had a really good high end GPU the best I had ever had was a Nvidia 570 that I used for nine years.
Rocking the 7800xt, found a 7900xtx for 640$ on marketplace so will be upgrading soon
Sheesh 7900xtx for 640 is a king deal

That mustache S tier.
Where is my 7900 gre gang at 🎉?!!!
Love mine! Combined with the 7700x cpu
Sapphire Pulse here, paired with 5700x3d, Will Escape AM5 entirely
getting mine today :D
ayayay here combined with 7800x3d
@@ScatterVolt In all fairness, it's served me well enough the past 2 years I've had it. It's not like I hate the laptop or anything. I still use it of course. I'm just really excited about my build.
Now you can upgrade your GPU whenever you like!
Recently built my first PC.
Went with Ryzen 5 5600X and RX 7700XT.
Do you have any issues using the ryzen 5600x with the high end gpu ?? In asking because I have a rx6600 and 5600x and Wana get the rx6800
@@Geo-mn1xdSo far i have not faced any issue with 5600x. Playing on high settings at 1440p. Max GPU you could pair with this CPU is RTX 4070/RX 7800XT.

snatched a 7800xt from sale along with 4 game codes for 520 euros, was an absolutely insane deal to me, games alone were worth like 150euros minimum
*Great video, loving your explanation for each GPU*
Yes, it is somewhat true. In my country also PC parts are a little cheaper in Sept and October. I have seeing this since 2018, and that's why I buy most of my PC equipment in these months to save some money
7800xt Owner here, i can confirm that ScatterVolt is correct lol. beast of a card at $470 right now. Best 1440p GPU currently in the market
Which works better for a TV with a native 4K 120 VA panel that has VRR, ALLM, and low latency gaming mode, and high speed hdmi with dedicated gaming mode/menu, AMD or Nvidia?
I want to build a small form factor PC to replace my PS5 ( instead of buying a Pro ) and give my PS5 to my daughter?
mustache hits hard 🔥
Really love the quality videos and suggestions. I also like the 6080.
I recently bought a 7800xt for $500 off Amazon with 4 free games including the new Warhammer, did i get a good price or should i have waited for like prime day or whatever is coming up? Thing is a beast tho, i upgraded from a rx6600, built my rig maybe 8 months ago i wasnt plan on upgrading so soon but i just wanted to, definitely worth the upgrade though, way better FPS and all around better frame rate
Nice, i got the same deal but with the 7700 xt.

@@rienster8763 very nice deal and cards!
@@GameslordXY yep that's the deal I got for $469, after tax it's like $500. I was going to get the 6800 but couldn't find it on Amazon, plus the price difference wasn't too far off so I got the 7800xt, plus it's newer. Looked at a few reviews for the 2 and the 7800xt was slightly better. With the free games I got the new Warhammer, I have 3 other codes to redeem I can get like Star Field premium and a few other new games I can't remember
I have the 7900xtx merc310 and its amazing however if anyone is looking at this card, just a reminder that it is massive. I want to do a matx build so bad but finding a case is near impossible
great video!
Bro watched the video at 5x speed 😅
Do you think 5800x and RTX 4070s is a good combo? I will switch to a 2k monitor within a year. I want to learn and improve myself for both gaming and producing visuals with artificial intelligence. 4060 ti 16 GB is good for artificial intelligence, but I don't like its performance in games. If you give me an idea, thank you very much :)
does RTX4070S is the ultimate graphic & ray tracing for 1080P with high fps? around 144hz+
looking amazon right now they got a 6800 XT for $500, which I think is about in line for the performance gain over the 6800...
But then Newegg for the moment is offering a 2 game bundle(one being Space Marine 2, which I did want to play) when you buy a 7000 series card, which sweetens the deal on the 7800 XT and 7900 GRE...
I'm so torn between my raw cheapness, and wanting a card with more headroom and loving free shit...
I’m torn between the RX 7800 XT or RTX 4070 Ti super. Can I get some options or suggestions?

Do we think the 7800xt will go lower maybe on black Friday or is the $470 the best deal we'll get? I've been wanting to get it but idk if I should wait or get it now.
Should I buy a 7800xt or 7900gre

I have Ryzen 7 5700X. Which Nvidia's GPU is best for this CPU? I'm planning to buy either 4070 super or 4070ti super. And it's for 1440p gaming. Please help
i got a 7800x3d and 7900 gre
everything ultrawide, 140+ fps on games like tarkov max settings, and some at 300+ fps for some less demanding games
Good suggestions!
At this point, my 5700xt has held out this long pushing my 3440x1440 at decent framerates (considering it's age)....I'm going to wait until next gen to consider replacing it.
So I'm leaning toward 7800XT or 7900GRE but if I plan to game and stream simultaneously should I look more toward 4070 or 4070 super?
Just got 4070 Ti Super OC -Editon 5 days ago. Going along with AMD 7800X3D 32gb 6000 ram.
Sapphire Pure 7800xt or Sapphire Nitro+ 7800xt, which one to choose? At my place, Both are about the same price. any major technical difference?
Nitro+, it's the higher-end card, usually has higher power limits, better temps, less noise and more rgb if you're into that.
Thinking of waiting out till the 8000 series is pushed out by AMD, idk if that's wise but it seems (through the current "leaks") that it might be a good choice
I got my 7900XTX Phantom Gaming OC back in may for $850 on an Amazon deal.
If you're interested in the Intel ARC cards, just wait 'til later this year. BattleMage should be launching soon (after several delays).
I won’t say anything for sure until we get a confirmed reveal date.
October 10th might be the best bet
Video card manufacturers have reported rumors of reduced chip supply from nVidia after September 2024.
If true, prices may not drop until the RTX5000 series is released.
Some retailers are already reporting reduced availability of the RTX4000 series, adding credence to the rumor.
Shortages will result in higher retail prices. It should be noted that prices may go up, not down.
What do you recommend for a future upgrade from a 3060 if i got a 13400F?
RTX 3060, ARC 750, RX 6750 XT are all around the same price here in Australia at the moment on Amazon. Around $450-500AUD
Still rocking my GTX 1660 Ti, till early november.

Question. I am running 6 monitors in my office setup,. So I am using 2 cards just for the ports.
This is so helpful. Thank you so much!
Love the way u explain things bro
I'm planning to build a PC configuration including i5-12600kf with rtx 4070s. Do you think it's reasonable and works well? Because I don't see anyone testing the performance of the above 2 components for gaming.
I have a question. Say if I want a solid card for 1440p gaming today and I plan to upgrade from that in 2026, which one should I get now. My 3070 is dying and I need a new one.
Hoping to buy the 4070 Ti Super this month!
Hi, thanks so much for your latest insights. I am trying to put together my next 1440p build at the end of this month (the earliest) to do sim games like flight simulator, some adventure games (maybe Yakuza/Ghost of Tsushima), and also twitch streaming and a little productivity. Trying to decide what to go for between 7800/7900 series Radeon, or the 4070 Super/4070 Ti Super. The CPU (Ryzen) is another question...
Ive been thinking about getting an rx 6750 xt but rx 8000 will be announced soon. Should I get the rx 6750 xt while I still can at it's current price or wait a bit longer?
Good to see the RX 7900XTX drop below $900! Even though it costs $1321 in my country..
I'll probably stay with the HD 4870 for a while..
is the 4070s good for 4k? or atleast decent?
in the time of this ive seen the rx6800 fluctuate between the 330 to 350 in the uk so imma 100% buy it (as of right now its 334 here incredible value and the rx 6750xt is going for 287 on amazon both new i cant wait to get it)
Heya, im in heavy doubts between 7800xt / 7900gre and 4070 super. I game, sometimes stream, as well as both in VR, i heard NVidia is better in those cases, im just worried about 12VRAM? What do i go for?
I’ve got a decision to make on my next gpu. Either 6800 brand new for $390 after tax. Or 6800 xt used on ebay for about $415 after tax. 6800 xt is faster but you never actually mention it. Which is the better buy?
I just got a 4070 super don’t need a new card but I love watching these vids

I was looking for a deal last month and nothing was to be found! So i went with a new GTX Titan XP. For my rendering rig so i think i did ok for $300.
Should I just wait for the next generation of GPU cards?
Damn, look at that 'tache, that makes you look like the villain played by Daniel Day Lewis in the movie, Gangs of New York lol. I paid £550 for the 7800xt, then 2 weeks later it was reduced in price, here in the UK.
Nahhh XD
Nooo you got ripped off man....
Torned between the 4070 Ti S and the 7900 xtx , doing VR ( PSVR2 on Pc) and appreciating the NVIDIA software side i really don't know on that one
Did i miss the 6950XT? Where would you rate that card?
it's just above the Rx 7900GRE mate, I've got an RX 6950 xt it's an amazing card, I'm looking top up grade tho to 4070ti super or an 4080 super. My father-in-law will get my 6950 xt
