    How is this concept extended when the limit goes to infinity? You can't really find a neighbourgood/range for x (i.e. delta) for x = infinity because infinity isn't a "point". Or how do they deal with this? How do they define infinity and adapt this rigurous definition to being rigurous when x goes to infinity with epsilon/delta?

    As for the discontinuous functions (e.g. the one you drew on top-left at the beginning of the video), can we still find "two" limits for x approaching the "broken point" from either side? Like "lim x->c+"which is from positive and "lim x->c-" which is from negative?

    • @enox5542
      @enox5542 2 года назад

      I'm probably very late, but... No lim x->c doesn't exist in that case since lim x->c- and lim x->c+ are not the same

  • @user-cd8yi4dk6p

    So we need to prove the continuity at the end point and assume the open interval is Continuous? I don’t get it, the reason for the end point to not be continuous Could also apply on the open interval right??

    • @user-cd8yi4dk6p
      @user-cd8yi4dk6p 6 лет назад

      Also if the function is discontinuous at a point, does that mean it’s not in its domain? Even if its removable one?

      I used to hate math till high school , till i stopped studying for grades and started to understand the concept behind it. Conceptually math is a beautiful subject but its taught the worst way imaginable. Try to understand math and once you grasp the concept do few basic problems.
