    I like the Grand Hotel best with the color scheme reminiscent of the AG cafes, but I love how you made over your extra set for your hotel & spa. It looks much better with the extra pieces!
    I would totally buy a shell of any big ticket item for the fraction of the price so I can do what I want with it. I might actually prefer that!

    • @agtakesover
      @agtakesover  Месяц назад

      Yeah, the two hotels give very different vibes. I think the Grand Hotel is glitzy, glam, grandeur and the Spa is calm, serene, simplistic. I do like both and am glad I didn't have to choose :) The nice thing about using that shell is that nothing I did is so permanent I couldn't undo it and change up the look again in the future.

    The November sales were soooooo tempting. I brought home Beforever Addy after vowing to not buy any more dolls until I was better organized. Enjoy your new hotel. It looks like a lot of fun.

      I think this sale was a couple months ago actually (sometimes I film something and it just takes a while to post it because other videos get put ahead of it) but the timing worked out perfectly with me referencing a "recent sale" lol. Also, Beforever Addy is absolutely beautiful :)

    Your spa makeover turned out great! A little room divider is all you need to divide the reception desk from the guests but I like the open concept and how your eyes can imagine what is going on in each corner of the room. So creative! ❤

      Thank you! I was telling someone else that there are times I wish I had a Glowforge (or something similar) and even though I'll probably never invest in something like that unless the price comes WAAAAY down, it would be so cool to make an intricate, wooden divider with either filigree or leaf patterns :)

    Wow!! You’ve made it so much more playable! I liked the idea of the double sided play when the Grand Hotel was first released, but it does make it difficult to use.
    The compact area it folds into is excellent and always appreciated.

    • @agtakesover
      @agtakesover  Месяц назад

      It was a fun challenge to come up with a way to make it more playable because once I put up a display, it usually stays in place for at least several months (and sometimes years) and I didn't want to have to choose between the two sides.

    I love that you put together these 2 sets and I think what you did with the older set looks so much better than it did originally. All of the details that you added worked out beautifully. And, yes, I did just dress a doll, brush her hair and take her pictures, which was very enjoyable. :)

      I'm so glad you liked the way it came out. I'd been wanting to do that to it for a while now, and I'm so pleased that I finally got to! Also, yay for spending some quality time with a doll. Who'd you pick?

      @@agtakesover I picked Grace. :) I was going to post her on AGIG today, but I ran out of time and we're heading out to dinner with family from out of town, so I will most likely post her tomorrow. :)

    I bought a used hotel and spa, and it was missing most of the pieces. It was shipped and the toilet broke so I had to glue in on...but now it can't close up. So I took the "bathroom" part off my hotel and use it on the back side. So one side is the the bedroom and the other side is the bathroom.
    I love what you did with the yard sale one. It turned out so good.

    • @agtakesover
      @agtakesover  22 дня назад +1

      I had to read this twice to be able to visualize this, but now I've got it. That's a clever workaround. Have you added any details to the hotel spa? I was a bit disappointed by how few accessories it came with.

On the drive over, I remember thinking, "Oh, that will make a nice stocking stuffer." Like...what stocking is that fitting in?!?! My sense of how much space these things will take up is always off lol.
