  • In this video I show a step-by-step guide on how I built my cheap as chips lure dryer. A simple $9,- disco ball motor and some scrap wood I got for free were the key ingredients. Not the most amazing looking lure dryer but very functional and great for drying epoxy coats on lures. If you have any questions, let us know as per usual!

    Fantastic and so cheap. Perhaps add a swivel on the non-motor end?

    Greetings to you. I hope you are alive and well, first and foremost. I'm watching this video and I like the solution to my needs. Does this engine still serve you, or should I ask, how long has it served you? Tnx

      To be honest I prefer the motors with a very slow rotation, slower than in this video. I do actually hang dry most of my lures now, thanks for watching!

    What kind of resin is best for clear coat and how much layers should be done?

      I use Envirotex Lite epoxy but I'm sure there a some polyurethanes that will give you a great result as well. I usually only need to do one layer of envirotex since it gets quite thick on a fast rotating lure dryer but you can do two or more if you hang dry them or have a very slow rotating lure dryer.

    Mine is doing the same thing, it flips over unevenly and can’t figure it out? Any suggestions?

      if you tighten the fitting on the hook you use to where there is no wiggle room, it'll run just fine

    Would a 3 rmp motor work?

    • @TheAnglingGlobetrotters
      @TheAnglingGlobetrotters  3 года назад

      It definitely woulod but you may have to consider applying more than one coat to get the desired clear coat density. Thanks for watching!

      @@TheAnglingGlobetrotters thank you. I seen another guy has one. I think it would work just fine. I got it now and turned it on. It shouldn't drip. I should be able to do one good coat and be good without it dripping

    One at a time ?

      I mean, if you punch a hole through that plate and you make another plate you could do two. or if the lures are small enough you can do two as well.

      A stickbait or a lure dryer? The lure dryer I make is nothing special and super easy to make.
