  • After breaking this model last year, I decided to rebuild it rather than dispose of it. So, a donor kit, some paint and just over 12 months later, after a stop-start go of it, here is how the repairs were finally completed.

I love the comment you made early on, along the lines it is a static display rather than flying aircraft. Good glue tip for the canopy. Not a bad restoration.

Thanks mate. I'm glad I didn't bin it last year. Now a few little restoration jobs for a handful of other survivors. Then the big job to rebuild my orange & silver Gnat and the Gulf War Tornado.

Thanks. I wish I had started filming earlier in the process.

Thanks Sam. I wish I had shots of it before I put the tail back on. I've got a few more waiting to be put back in once piece.

is that the old tool JP? I have one of those I built back in the 90's I intend to give a refresh to.

Its the new-ish tooled one. About 2011-15. Similar kit to kit number A02107 sold as a Jet Provost Mk.4. I used parts from Airfix kit A02103 Jet Provost Mk.3, for the bits which were damaged or missing. Airfix has re-released the Mk.3 kit.
