    Fun fact: as of 9/13/2021 the construction is still ongoing. They’ve successfully widened the street from the aviator parkway to about Campbell, but the rest of the street is FUBAR.

    Talk about a blast from the past! I remember all this; the Sun Tran buses, the old old one and the "newer" ones, the hairstyle the newscaster has, (which was a toned down look for t.v. professionals) the suicide lanes, (that was the nickname, because they were very dangerous and even with all the signs, nobody used them correctly) on Broadway and on Grant, and back when news was *actually real,* unbiased, factual and professional, instead of today's garbage.

      Amen to all of the above! I was born and raised in Phoenix from 1987-2018 and miss the way of life from the 90's. Like you said, news was simply left as the news, no spins to it and even politics were much more based middle of the road instead of based in lala land like the leftists today. Conservatives for the most part have tried to remain consistent through the years, but due to the left being so far off the rails there's so much polarization and nothing gets done for the people anymore, it's all about one side or the other battling for control instead of trying to meet halfway and passing bills that only contain relevant legislation to make this country prosperous again. Battling for control is needed at the moment because the lefts agenda is insane. If the liberals didn't have such looney views/priorities these days, real, worthwhile legislation could get passed instead of this current rabid focus on control which is solely maintained by dividing demographics into every category imaginable and catering to them.
      I got way off topic, but there it is. Lol
      Cheers to experiencing life before the digital age and God bless!

      Ugh, those horrible suicide lanes. I almost got into a head on collision with a wrong way driver on those.

      I was 2 years old in 1987 and we lived in Tempe on river Dr in an old apartment, I can remember when I was that age, we moved to my grandads house in the town of guadalupe, baseline heading to Phoenix was filled with orange orchards and Japanese sunflowers

    Since nothing happened for decades this was around the time Tucson was opposing "all" transportation improvement projects. Freeways, expanded public transit, better roads, etc. I'm glad people there are finally coming to their senses and investing the money to make it a better place.

      There was money. The politicians just decided to wait until voters gave in to their request for increased taxes.

      Providing fast roads encourages people to make harmful choices in their housing and employment locations. And big roads cost a fortune to build, and then they cost a fortune to repave every decade.
      Buy a house near your job, or better, work from home. The folks who are smart enough to do either of those things hate being forced to pay high taxes to build big roads for all the fools who made the wrong decisions about where to live and work.

    Where the Broadway goes under the 'peace train commerce IS peace)' there is a mosaic depicting some younger women who appear to be more than having 'eaten the cat'. Jojo left his home (body via orgasm)

    • @andrenewcomb3708
      @andrenewcomb3708 4 года назад

      Baby couldn't keep his pants on. And who snapped the photo that the mosaic is fashioned after? I don't think it was a Kodak or ab Archer. I'm beginning to suspect a Polaroid. And just up the road is a broad-way curve. Oh, baby. You gave everything away. Peace is no longer in your domain because you gave it all away to people who deceive. They even go so far as to swindle innocents by pretending to be retarded. It's a "broad-way". And they gave you a consolation by naming steers after you. That probably makes a lot of people happy when they . . .
