This is the cheer for the soldiers last shot. Direct shot by artillery means the enemy is right in front and going to run over.

なのでせめて訓練の時は楽しく射撃を。
実戦で直接射撃の時は恐怖以外の何物でもないでしょうから・・・。
一応アフガニスタンの前哨基地とかだと、渓谷から山にいる敵を直接射撃するに使う事はあった。
装甲戦闘車輛が直接入れないような場所だと、こういった火砲が重要な火力になる。
Afghan M777とかで動画調べる出てくると思う。
だよねぇ。普通は後方からの曲射だから直接照準ってことは、この動画にある通り前線を突破されてすぐ目の前に敵が迫ってきているという。
訓練だから笑ったり奇声を上げられるけど実戦だったら目前に敵が迫っていて砲の照準器で
敵の顔が確認できるわけだからね、敵の小銃弾も至近距離に着弾してきてるだろうし
迫ってくる敵の声も聞こえてきそうだ・・・。
逆にアドレナリンドバドバでて笑ってそう
思ってた以上に超楽しそう。

榴弾砲の水平直接射撃、普段は標的がわからないでの間接射撃なだけに、直撃は気持ちがいいんでしょうね！しかも破壊力は抜群！

Man I hope they realize that "these are the good ol' days." I was an M119 howitzer Platoon leader and they were. Charge 7 baby!
Yea they probably don’t realize it. I wish they did too but these are the things that can only be truly realized in retrospect.
弾着までがほぼ瞬時だから、いつもと全然違ってメッチャテンション上がるし楽しいんだろうな。
実戦だとかなりヤバい状況ですが、この状況で相手に隙を見せないためにも、とにかく発射レートを上げる必要がありますね。
装填、発射、排莢、砲口確認、装填を安全確実に行うのは当たり前で、そこに早さを求めるにはこのような訓練が必要なのかも知れませんね。

むしろ発射レートより全門一斉射撃で確実に敵をやらんとすぐやられちゃう気がするけど（笑）
ベトナム戦争のテト攻勢時のケサン基地攻防戦ってこんな感じだったんだろうな。

海兵隊2個連隊が守備していたから、多分M101 105mm野砲辺りかなと。
Looks like it wouldn't be that hard to design an autoloader/ejector and make it semi-automatic.
砲兵の悲しさは個々の砲の戦果が確認しづらいことでしたが
偵察ドローンの飛躍で”砲兵のエース”なんてのが生まれるかもしれない時代になってきました
アメリカ軍の強さってこういう所に出ると思う
In 1968 at Ft Sill we were trained to direct fire our 105 at a moving target.
Being in Marine Corps artillery I can tell you direct fire is the best! At longer ranges during the night you can see the red hot end of the round swirling like a spinning bullet. Get Some! Semper Fi!

Finally got all the data on my grandfather service record in 1944 and 45. My grandfather was a captain of the artillery under Patton. HJ Moran 137th SALUTE

The 118 and the 119 are 2 of the best artillery pieces ever built.
I can't remember the specifics, but after some unfortunate event a long time ago, all U.S. artillery was designed to be able to fire at 0 degree elevation, for defense against attack on the position.
I’m sure it was army stupidity as always
Probably in WWII. Positions were overrun,and POWs slaughtered. We also try not to leave behind artillary crews anymore... 😦

Summer Graf M-110A1 8 Inch Self Propelled Howitzer the Short Timers would take turns as the Assistant Gunner and pulling tail.
Gunner would say Set Set Set the AG would say Ready round is down range, we fired at
old M-113 APC's.

すごい楽しそうでぼくもやりたいｗ 装填手の人が撃った後の空薬きょうをトントンってするのは火薬の残りかすを飛ばしてるのかな。そして後ろからちゃんと砲身の中を確認して次の弾を入れてる。あと、後から写してる時にマイクに入る弾が飛んでいくシューって音（ 2:39 )もすごい。一気にこれだけ撃ち続けたらすごい身に付く訓練になるだろうな。こんなに速射できるものとは思ってなかった。

FH70と違って口径が小さく軽いからか、装填がとても楽そう｡
分離装薬じゃなさそうだし
それね、人員も少なそうだし即応性は高そう
閉鎖機が隔螺式に比べると気密性に劣る垂直鎖栓式閉鎖機
なので燃焼ガス漏れを防ぐために薬莢を使っている。
装薬量の調整は弾頭をつける前に薬嚢を入れて調整する。

In the philippines, its not a fun drill and its a very useful tool in urban battle against fortified position. Even the commanding officer praise the use of it. Very unconventional but its did a pretty good job.

When it’s raining or way to hot or way to cold it gets old real quick. But I admit, shooting a 4 or 5 round fire mission does make you feel like king kong

I would love to see these folks do a hasty quick setup and fire mission and evacuation! Artillery drills need to represent real world fire missions. At night, in rain, in miserable conditions. You practice for the worst so you can fight your best at your worst. Artillery is the King of Battle.

I took artillery training at Ft. Sill in the fall of 1965. For one day's training, we fired at moving targets, so it's nothing new. But I don't recall the gun, which was a 105mm howitzer, moving as much as the one in the video.
Did my training at Ft. Sill in '73. The older model did not move around like these. They had "split" trails and dug in much better and look a lot more stable.
@@davidroman1654 Did you do any direct fire with the 105? And where did you end up. In the mysterious ways of the army, I was never in an artillery unit. I spent the rest of my military career, such as it was, in a divisional headquarters.

If i was a coverer on that gun line, id be counting the crates of beer to come from all the eejits who stood in the path of recoil with 1 in the breech. I also presume they dont have a G.Q. some right dosgy trunion tilt going on there lol. Well done fellas.

確かに命中したかどうかも判らない砲撃よりも成果が判る直接射撃が楽しいわな。
日本とアメリカで訓練の様子がこんなに違うのは国民性の違いなのかな…？日本は見た時の美しさを重視して、アメリカはプレッシャーをかけずに楽しく訓練することを重視してるのかなと個人的には思いました。
お金に余裕があるなら楽しめるのにな！ 日本は、初弾必中だからな(T_T)

WE used to that with an SP 8 inch Howitzer .
My Dad was a 60mm mortar man in WW2. He said German POWs wanted to see the US belt-fed 105s.....LOL!

口径が小さい分、前線に近い場所に配置されるだろうし、基地配置だったら基地への攻撃で直接照準するのではと思います。
前線部隊が突破された時ぐらいかな

直接射撃だと実際は緊迫した状況だけど分間でバンバン撃たなきゃいけない状況、
対戦車なんかで隠ぺいした陣地から近距離でっていうのは第二次世界大戦時とか、限定的な紛争でしかないかな、今は上空から常に観測できるし。
