I was able to max out all the graphics settings at 30 PPD with a smooth & stable framerate. You have to go to the game's video settings and manually set the frame rate limit to 48, turn on DLSS (quality), set the upscaling setting to "biased." In Luke Ross's VR settings, make sure AER 1/3 is turned on, and also HFOV & VFOV.

I'd have to agree. Despite its derivativeness with its gameplay, its definitely one of the most visually impressive games of recent memory. The reveal of the forest is well done too (just like in Crysis when the sun comes up when you reach the first base). Obscuring your vision by bright light before you exit the hallway to the big jungle reveal is such a stand out moment. You're instantly wow'd and you've only just started the game. The Snowdrop engine is impressive. Its a shame they don't use it more for their games.

Ya I just sold my 4090 for $1900 and will be desperately trying to snipe a 5090 on the 30th. The 7900xt I'm using in the interim isn't gonna cut it. This game is sick though, highly under-rated. I've got over 110 hours into it in the past year and still haven't finished it or done the DLC! Very under-rated game.
Had some xp with Motion Capture (almost Leon in new Resident Evil games :) and gotta appreciate how fluid the animations are and how accurate movement / climbing choreography is. It's such a important detail but you wouldn't necessarily expect in a VR game just yet. Kudos to the creators.
Avatar made as much as it did not for its story but its immersion and escapism. James Cameron talked about writing a basic plot solely to have an excuse to push technological boundaries in filmmaking. Avatar is essentially the film industry’s tech demo, sorta like UE5. Films are consumed for many reasons besides just its plot. Avatar hits high on the escapism chart.

Not you realizing that the navi only have 4 toes and 4 fingers 😂 the avatars (the navi bodies made by humans) have 5 fingers, that's why the water tribe in Avatar 2 immediately knew that Jake and his family aren't normal navi and that's why they weren't very welcoming of them
This was the most under-rated game of 2023. It definitely has it's issues, and can be repetitive. But the world they created is an absolute masterpiece. If they had more time to incorporate more unique missions into the game instead of only having a handful of unique missions it would have been much better. There are parts that are just so good like when you return to the first TAP facility and get stalked by that big 6 legged tiger, that was a great mission. If the whole game was going from unique mission to unique mission instead of mostly just doing the same RDA facility over and over. But even as is it's a great experience, I still haven't finished the game and haven't touched the DLC yet, but I have like 110 hours already. I'm excited to try the VR mod. I just sold my 4090 though in preparation of getting a 5090 though so I'll be waiting for that as the 7900xt i'm using rn just wont cut it.
I've got the Ubisoft version and have had no issues once I got the graphics level adjusted correctly. I had it set too high in steam vr settings on my PSVR2, I also have a 4090 and found a sweet spot like he spoke of where graphics are as high as the headset will go and the frames are stable 100+ (I think the game might be maxed at 60 but not sure)

In the game options, turn off DLSS, but keep Frame Generation enabled. This will allow you to see much more detail in the graphics. Plus, you’ll be able to significantly increase the pixel render resolution in the real mod options. Looks absolutely amazing in this and cyberpunk.

I don't understand how you don't understand the success of Avatar 1, 3D was a big thing at the time and this was the first movie properly made with 3D in mind on top of everything else about it like the revolutionary visuals, it immersed people in another world in a way which had never been done before. Yes. DLSS 3.8.1 Performance Mode and Meta Quest 3 (SSW Frame Generation via Virtual Desktop). You can play it with 3000 x 2xxx resolution. 36 FPS in Game are enough to get 72 FPS in the Headset. The picture is clear as FUK. You can play it on medium Quality Settings. But don't get sad, even on a 4080super you habe to play in medium. This Game is another Level of Detail and the coolers of my 4080s are spinning like hell.
Thanks , tried that but ultimately gave up. It just always looked either lower resolution or background images had to much pop in to be playable even with a 4080super

Unfortunately, James didn't solely write the second, third, fourth and fifth scripts, which would have been a serious undertaking for him no matter what. With the sequel, it more like "too many cooks in the kitchen" situation with four other writers involved. So, you get all kinds of idiotic moments in the film and questionable dialog choices. Cameron is a superb director and artist, but the various other writers did not help in regards to the story this time around, and sounds like it will be the same with future films in the series. Technically, it should only be a trilogy. There's no reason for a fourth and fifth, especially when the second was so forgettable, other than visually.
This looks awesome and ubisoft are fools for not releasing this in VR and actually making some sales. But way of water is a horrible fool made for brain damaged people. Just watch the director ps cut of avatar and be happy.

Even the PS3 game blew my mind, it was the best stereoscopic 3D implementation back in 2010. I've been waiting ever since to relive it again in VR.

Emerging from the cave and into the Upper Plains was crazy, especially because that environment hadn't been revealed in the films.

Dang....we waited years for batman, metro, and behemoth and it seems they are already old news.
I'm sure Luke Ross puts in a lot of effort in his mods, but actually using them is pretty underwhelming compared to other VR mods, like praydogs.
I'm always disappointed by luke ross mods since I have to use DLSS for the newest games. In the headset there are far too many artifacts.

sww!!! The Quest 3 doubles the Framerate. You only need 36 FPS in game. The Headset gives him 72 fps.

GTA V in Vr still works Beardo, just have to launch it in offline mode.
Do you have tips to set this up? I downloaded the mod and installed it but the graphics are low resolution and blurry on my 4080super on quest3
