- Children who have experienced trauma are at significantly higher risk of having an ADHD diagnosis and moderate to severe ADHD symptoms. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are traumatic experiences, such as child abuse and neglect, that may trigger chronic, harmful levels of stress in the body. Although ACEs are reported across all racial/ethnic and socioeconomic groups, specific types of trauma, such as racial discrimination, are uniquely experienced by children of color and may affect ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
In this hour-long webinar replay, listen and learn from Nicole M. Brown, M.D., MPH, MHS, about:
How ACEs are defined and identified
How specific types of ACEs may trigger or exacerbate ADHD
The overlap between trauma and ADHD symptoms, and tools used to distinguish between the two
Why it’s important to expand the traditional definition of ACEs to include experiences such as racial discrimination and bullying

however you did this webinar, the screen is way better set up this way IMHO. 50% of the screen for the slides (other webinars) isn't big enough. This is perfect.
This is so informative and excellent- thank you for this posting 🙏🏼
Thank you very much for this 🙏🏻
Bravo,bravo.
2% of pediatricians assess for trauma in children...so sad.
Unfortunately because the perpetrators (the parents) are usually in the room with them.
Original ACEs (Adverse Childhood experiences) questions never asked about death of a caregiver. interesting.
What are rates of heavy metal toxins in ADHD population?
