Facts. Bring back the days when we can get replica/swingman jerseys that had letters and numbers actually stitched. They lowered the quality but bumped the price up from back and the days. Doesn't make sense at all smh
The pricing is absolutely CRIMINAL. There’s NOTHING special about the manufacturing process that makes any of these remotely worth the price. It’s total robbery.
Glad I picked up my authentic phillies jersey last year, since nike decided this year that the chain stitching which really looked amazing on the authentic phillies Jerseys were too expensive. Nike really had an opportunity show show their dominance when they picked up the MLB jersey contract, but they really fumbled big time. While fanatics does have some QC issues, at the end of the day they're contracted by nike to manufacture the jerseys to nike specs with the materials that nike chooses, so I don't understand all the flack they're getting for what are clearly nikes decisions.
Great review man, big respect for using personal funds to inform us the viewers in the big differences. I do have to say limited is worth when it's on sale for $115 I got my white Sox black one and yes it's not worth 175 let alone 155 but for 116 I had to give it a shot and it's not terrible but for retail that's a huge no for me. I do like the stretchy feel to them
Idk, tho.. it may be worth something to have a 2024 White Sox jersey 100 years from now. When their record is still standing as the worst season in 236 years.
I have a few Orioles authentic jerseys from years past, including Rutschman's 2024 Nike Elite white home. While I'm with the masses who prefer the larger name font and less curvature on the back, the overall weight and material of the jersey overall is nicer than more recent years prior. The length of the Elite jersey does seem a bit longer than the 2023 authentic. I wear a Size 40 Elite, and it seems longer than my 2023 Kyle Bradish game-worn jersey (size 46), my 2023 Cedric Mullins game-worn jersey (size 44), and my 2023 Grayson Rodriguez game-issued jersey (size 48). If you're taller than 6'0" it's not really an issue. I'm 5'9" and so it's going to look long. It's a mixed bag with the Limited. I like they went with the twill options around the board. For $200, would prefer stitching vs heat-press. If you're a season-ticket holder for your MLB club, chances are you're getting somewhere between a 20%-30% discount on team merch. For that big of a discount, it makes the Elite more affordable (and can pay for a healthy chunk of your STs), and brings the Limited to around what a traditional replica is. One thing specifically for the Orioles I'm not a fan of for the 2024 Elite is the Baltimore patch on the left arm is heat-pressed twill, vs the more traditional thicker patch stitched on. Again, I know it's about performance and weight... but the patch just looks cheaper, and it aligns with what players are saying that the game jersey looks and feels like a replica. Look, it's not perfect... and I'm sure post 2024 Nike and Fanatics will make tweaks. If both companies revert to previous year styles regarding fonts, etc., it may make the 2024 a bit of a cult collector's item (even though we may hate them now). It's a stretch to think that, sure. Something to consider though.
Yeah, weight.......Nike "we made the jersey lighter, yay us" MLB and teams proceeds to put a bigass ad patch on the other sleeve...... LOL Astros, Braves , Padres, Orioles, and others........ look like garbage now
I got the Elite (25% off!) and the LENGTH is the one big thing that bugs me. It looks like a dress on me. The fit is great otherwise. I can’t decide to get it tailored (by a lady in our neighborhood who makes dresses, so it’s perfect) or return it. My only concern is that getting it trimmed would make the last button look odd. Anyway. Thanks for going through all the details! It’s the kind of information they don’t give you online.
Problem is whenever there’s a discount code they don’t work on the these new jerseys. And I want to be at like $250 (max)on an elite. So until that happens they can keep them. And the limited isn’t going to happen. I’d pay like $75 for one of those pieces of junk.
The discount for 25% off worked on Fanatics the other day…it was like $105 off (which seemed more like 30%). I got a grey Royals elite. I don’t know if they were trying to clear them out or what.
Wait a minute!!!! A lot of the jerseys I saw specifically for the Braves had that limited look to the logo with the actual separation of the a in the name. Were the players actually wearing limiteds??? That's crazy
I like the look of the front of the limited jerseys. But is there any chance the Braves lettering will fall off as it isnt stiched in? I found one for $100, so i think ill go for it
in theory its more possible than a stitched lettering, so far i haven't had any issues with a jersey peeling just yet. but i've had a logo fall off of a nike shorts that i use super super often after a few years
The only issue I have with the authentic jerseys are the length. I’m only 5’4 1/2”. I have one authentic and its SOOO long on me its not wearable. And as much as I hate the changes this year, I still may grab a City Connect limited since it fits me much better, which fit is the most important factor to be honest. City Connects are gimmicks, so I’m fine settling for a limited until they change some things down the road.
Just to put this out there, I hate what Nike has done, so I’ve been getting majestic blanks and getting them custom numbers from a local shop. That being said, the reason they go so low on the Authentics (especially the back) is because in baseball we tuck our jerseys. It’s meant to help keep it tucked. Imo it looks really good no matter your height to have that
@@navalsealsnipersports1199 no, trust me. That kind of length doesn’t look good on me 😂 i know the jersey itself looks better, but fit matters more than anything.
@@blaisebanko3487 guess you’re a one of a kind then man 😂 if you don’t mind me asking, are you a larger guy in circumference or can you just go get a smaller size?
@@navalsealsnipersports1199I guess you could say that. I also wasn’t as sure on the sizing. For example, im a 50 for an NHL authentic. I got a 48 MLB authentic. And for comparison, the Nike Limited that fits me is a Large. So idk where a 48 falls in comparison to a large.
@@blaisebanko3487ok, so I’m a moderately slim 6’1” wearing a large. 44 I believe is large and 48 should be XL if I’m not mistaken. Since you’re a shorter guy, I’d try a medium and unbutton it. It looks better imo with those authentic jerseys that hang so low
This is why companies like Nike make these decisions. So Nike makes a cheap jersey and charges $200 for it and your only option is to save up and buy a $400 jersey instead? I want everyone to think about this decision for a sec............ You do know you arent forced to buy this right? You do know by buying the $400 jersey you are incentivising Nike to make these terrible decisions right? These are jerseys not food. Think about how Nike just made 2 ugly jersey options and your only option is to buy the more expensive jersey. You know what i did? I went on ebay and bought an older majestic jersey. Its probably why this video was recommended to me now. Nike has released a product nobody likes. Players hate these jerseys and they are popping up on baseball blooper videos and still we buy them. Why would nike improve these jerseys? If i was Nike i would push the limit and put poop stains on them to see how far they can go. The best thing to do is to not buy these jerseys. You dont have to buy them. Your 2020 jersey is just fine. Its better than these new jerseys. Anyone who buys these should be ashamed of themselves. Just imagine seeing a car you want on facebook marketplace and going to meet the person selling it. When you get there its a 2003 ford taurus and you hate it. Then you see a more expensive ford taurus in his garage but it has chrome rims. Would you pay double for the ford taurus with the chrome rims?

How are those Elite jerseys $394?! It's not even good stitching. Those should be more in the $200 range.
They were $125 when majestic made them
@@navalsealsnipersports1199 no, they were around 250-300+ .... authentic also cost that
I typically wear a medium for the limited jersey. Would you advise I get a 44 for the elite? I’m 5’10 and 160ibs.
hmmm I would try the 40. it'll still have good length but also 160 lbs it'll be less baggy.
If you start gaining weight then i'd try the 44
Great info ℹ️ & video! 💻 👍🏼
Any word on any Elites for away or alternate jerseys? Only see home. 😢
Dang I’m not sure. Probably when the season starts up fully idk
My least favorite part honestly is moving the MLB logo off of the collar and onto the back. Looks like a knock-off.
Is the Nike limited run bigger than the replica ?
The 400 dollar jersey maybe cost them 40 to 60 bucks to make. That price point is insane.
That’s a huge drawback
The prices are a scam. I’ll drop 200 on a great quality stitched jersey but 400 is highway robbery
