The removal of the weird tail was for sure the best change imo. If the batterman logo was normal with the name not as curved (aka a similar back to the old ones), I think it would've been infinitely better-received. Great review!
That “lobster tail” actually served a purpose for the players on the field since the jersey is meant to be tucked in. I think it actually makes it look like a replica now that it’s all the same material. That’s the least of my worries though, the name plates are horrid, the heat pressed logos are super cheap, and the overall quality is like a high school jersey.
100% agree. And fanatics has been doing some crazy sales too. It’s the perfect time to get one. I’m also a fan of the perforated look on the numbers. It gives the jerseys a modern-performance type feel which is obviously what they were going for

I just got a Trout Elite 2024 on sale and to be honest its fine , I personally love the feel of them as I play Sunday league baseball myself , so any on-field jersey is always my choice. I love that the tail isn’t like years past and a size 40 fits me perfectly at 5’5 165 lbs. The collar had grown on me too

You should’ve had an older authentic on camera to compare it to rather than the same jersey but a different team. You’re just telling us the difference instead of showing us.
With regards to sizing, I’m 5’11 220. I currently own a Padres Limited series jersey it’s a M and fits perfect. Would I be best to go for a 44 in the elite you think? Not sure how it compares. I’m from the Uk so we don’t really have the jerseys to try on. Bought my last one at Petco park but wasn’t clued up on the different series at the time. Also, is it worth the extra over the limited? You know what brother I just figured out why the batteman is lower. It's because when they heat, press the name/ number they wanna be able to heat. Press the batterman on there too , which looks terrible
I was thinking...hmmmm why would they do that, move the batterman so low under the collar. I remembered that the Majestic factory/manufacturer had a separate person to do the batteman/stitch in onto the collar/heat press. So I realized yes....they are so cheap, they moved it so ONE WORKER CAN HEAT PRESS IT DOWN ALL AT THE SAME TIME, SO IT CUTS A STEP! They did it on purpose & called it a step in thier redesign. They can move it if they'd like, it's thier business but my money will stay in my wallet! I'd rather rock the True Fan copy jerseys from Kmart/Walmart back in the day that looked nothing like a mlb jersey than these new ones! 😅
For you haters I wore my 2007 Giants RuseeIl Authe tic awhile back. Yes it was heavier lol but I was drenched in sweat on a hot summer day at the ballpark just drinking beer lol. So I liked how you explained to haters that heavier is not necrdsarily higher quality. or better for the athlete. Fabric heaviness/type/quslity ids a whole debatable suject and not a simple issue. We need someone who lnows about performance clothes to weigh in here vs. yhe haters. I bought s Giants home bkank jersey today at their glagship stadium store and the $389.95 price was a sticjer shock for sure though. Ouch and LOL.
forreal. when I found my old high school stuff and realized how thick those things are its crazy. I have old russell runs too that are super thick. it's uncomfortable in the heat. there's always pros and cons to everything
