My whirlpool thin twin stacker washer dryer wasn't drying anymore, I watched this video, he walks you through step by step and explains very clearly, it worked and it fixed the problem, the part cost me $12.00 off of Amazon! saved me from the high cost of calling out a repair man to come out and the high cost of buying a whole new washer and dryer unit! Thank you! watch the video and you'll be back in business in no time!
Our whirlpool twin towers dryer stopped working and stoped producing the heat, so I started to search videos on RUclips , and thank God I found this one ! Thank you for sharing and explaining step by step on how to disassemble and how to check on faulty parts, my husband found the burned piece quickly , then we ordered the replacement and he put the dryer back in together so life is back to normal 😄 definitely saved money on calling up a specialist, thank you!
I am a woman that like to do things by herself. My drier is not working and this video is really excellent. Step by step, closer to the areas to see and not screaming. Love it to much. Thank you, thank you and thank you. 🙏💐🌹
Thank you so much, you saved me $450. I know nothing about electrical work. After watching your video and went to Home Depot and got a multimeter. Followed all your steps and found that my coil was bad. Ordered a new coil from Amazon and now everything works. I originally call a repair guy that quoted me $450 to come out and repair my dryer.
I really really enjoyed the video it was very helpful you explained everything in a understandable fashion as well as in a slow and constant tone which just made it less stressful thank you
Thank you very much for this video. I had a problem with the same part and this video helped me fix my dryer issue myself. For me, it was a $20 kit, but satisfying nonetheless.
Thank you Sam! I was able to follow your instruction and i replaced the same part as you, the thermal cutoff fuse. I ordered part 279816, which come with both the fuse and the high limit thermostat. However, the instruction sheet said I should be replacing both the fuse and thermostat. Do you know if this is necessary?
This is good info, but I think you edited the video/audio backwards when you were telling us which one was bad at round 4:45, and how to test the coil itself. I was confused on which one was bad until you replaced the rear fuse.
Excellent video! I was cleaning the exact same machine and I dropped a fork inside when I was taking out the dirt. I was trying to take out the fork , but suddenly the fork disappeared 👻 The machine still works the same. Please help me how to get out the fork or should I just leave it inside?
Not sure how you failed to mention the cardboard sound dampener just under the heating element! I'm unable to find the factory part number for this part, hoping you have it!
I have the same unit and the repair guy has replaced the therma fuse that you show. After replacement, the dryer heats up for a few minutes and then stops heating. Everything appears to still work except not heat. Any idea of cause? Thanks
On the second fuse with the purple wires do you need to disconnect those purple wires? Those 2 terminals have no continuity for me but I didn't see you check those.
Sam my other components were good but the heating element did not show zero (rather stopped at 14) even though it beeped do you think that is the problem.
Great Video.👍I recently had this repaired by a service person but next day same issue: stopped heating. I believe i have a dryer vent clog issue and am getting that cleaned first. I then we will check the dryer. Quick question where do you recommend purchasing the parts?
I need some info, a technician came several times to "fix" my dryer, and I am sure he is just trying to suck all the money I got, the last time he came by he left the dryer tumbler loose, and the dryer isnt heating, it does once in a while, so that means something inside is loose, and I have found some screws on the floor underneath the laundry center, how can I fix it, or at least how to check for the problem

I think that is a fire hazard with all that lint everywhere, Great video great explanation Gracias Compadre
That is correct
There is Lint EVERYWHERE, he needs to get a W&D (Washer and Dryer) professional to come and clean the inside of the dryer
Thank you for such an amazing territorial

I am getting a load sound when I turn the breaker on. Something is shorting out I feel. I think it may be the motor??
Thank you so much! Turns out the very first fuse I tested was the bad one, going to look into replacing it now!

Thank you was easy en simple super good explanation
Hey, I have a unit just like this. Can you help me troubleshoot why my washer will not turn on? It had been working fine...thank you
that vent screen in the drum needs cleaning its half plugged
Why does the high limit switch on the Whirlpool dryer continue to pop over and over thank you..
My guess is lack of airflow. Just like this one, they get full of lint.
Super thanks!
Great info/presentation.
Very professional , thank you Sir.
I have the same machine it made strange sound one day two days later it stop working. no power go in I think turn on switch must be broken.???
Big help, I got one just like it.
Great video thanks Sam
Thank you for this video💛
if I don't have a continuity setting, which setting do I set my multimeter to?
Ohms
Great video, thanks!
Who sells the failed thermal limit switch. We did this video and found the failed one. Can NOT find this sensor... no legit numbers on this part.
Can I do jump to test bad sensor ?
i have the same dryer but there is a lot of noise (metal on metal sound) Help???
Gracias 🙏
I replaced the thermal cutoff. But now my dryer will not run?? Help
Have the fire department standing by with all that lint, = one of the major causes of home fires.
New subscriber .I'm going to be doing the same .on the same washer and dryer .
I tested all thermostat and resistance, and they all have continuity, and still not heating
Have you found the issue eventually?
Interesting to see, but all through the video I was itching to clean all that lint.
You should've tried toasting a marshmallow in there
😅
Why does ever dryer repair video have a monster narrating?
Hi all my sensors and coil are showing continuity the dryer runs but the coil is not getting hot
Please help
I checked mine too and all sensors and coils are fine. Have you found out what's the issue on yours buddy?
