You forgot most important thing about flying birds of the Rising sun, you must offer sacred prayer to Hirohito to bless your cannon shells with his strength!
Same - I could not cope withe the guns and always flew in a way where I had to go evasive - something this plane can do but really you'll need to be on your toes then. I still got hit often by a stray bullet and was pilot sniped or set on fire immediately. That's when I abandoned the plane for quite some time.
The guns have always been hit or miss on this thing, and it likes to over roll I find, so following someone is tough for me on console. But it has decent speed, good climb, and in the defensive it's super good, and when the guns work you can have a good time.
All Japanese aircraft must soaked with sake in order to give less armour and more turn. That's why I love the Ki43iii otsu. Early or late there always get the job done. Stealth ammo is good in cloud engagement
Also another idea: As a zero main, when the enemies outrun me, I usually point in a different direction (do not lose sight of them). They seem to think that I went AFK and instead of going away they will throw themselves into close range fights. When I say 'Point away' I mean that your nose should be pointing about 30-40 degrees away from where he is headed. If you expose your six when doing this, especially American fighters with good energy retention will turn around, catch up to you and lead you enough to kill you. There is a way to get an enemy off your six by doing a sharp diving turn, but its much easier to not have that happen. Its worked about 80% of the time.
I usually stick to the lower tiers with the Ki-43-l as my preference all the Ki-43s are a lot of fun to play and are absolutely something to be terrified of if you do not know the skill level of the player in them
i just encountered this maschine against me, i tought that my plane would outurn a littel japanese plane - i couldn't be more wrong.. that thing did a full turn and went behind me then just sticked to my back like it was nothing (ofc i died)
It depends on the situation. It is always beneficial to have/hold an altitude advantage (at least 1.5-2k) and start boom and zoom. That way you can push the enemy down and make him bleed his energy - but be cautious not to overcommit or start turning. That is a death sentence. In an emergency you can outdive the K-43 and get some distance before reclimbing, but keep in mind that the K-43 climbs very good aswell so hope for him to loose interest and turn away. Good luck!
when your plane is so agile it makes it harder to aim.
Biplane moment

Good to know, I'll certainly do that next time!
Hairy it's better to soak the 20mm with premium Japanese Sake and put your katana near you for ease of drawing it if anyone dare to get near you
12:08 i find that move just insane ! Look at that agility !
Yeah, the Ki's are pretty insane. Sometimes they tend to overoll, which can be annoying.
Funny thing is I used to HATE this thing back in the day. I haven’t played this thing in a while tho. But last time I did I had a blast!

That's right, with slower planes you almost always have to get the fight to you instead to them.
This man's game sense

Just started flying it out today I absolutely love it
This is the ONLY vehicle in the game I have more kills than deaths with.
👍👍

That's the thing with those little machines, they're lightweight and small, hence they turn on a dime 😎
Pro tip never dog fight any Japanese planes because gaijin made it to bully American player of not how to f dog fight a plane that can out turn you
This thing scares me. How do I counter it in a Bf-109?
