The story wasn't very good, but the fights were the most realistic I've seen in anime.

@@AdamTheEnginerd Yeah credit where credit is due until the last 2 episode with the Shinden pulling way beyond critical angle of attack to drift/pull Cobras on a dime. Naomi's A6M3 also did that at one point. Not to mention the jet powered Shinden.
Kotobuki is gaining popularity. This is indeed a great thing. It's very underrated and needs to be popular. And that gameplay of yours is satisfying. Especially for a Kotobuki fan. I hope you'll do one of these with other skins based on that anime. :)

I think the story could have easily been a lot better.
I watched it because I was curious and obviously, like all anime on air combat (or anything else for that matter), the physics is non existent. So no its pretty bad imo.
I mean I don't mind if it's not too realistic but please, make at least an effort. It's looks like they're driving cars but in the air -_- like they're in some kind of video game.

Really nice job Adam. Love to see small youtubers like you post things like this. Btw, i just spaded my Ki-43 III and i think it is my favorite plane right now. Better then most Zero's even. 1 thing you might not know about it is it's survivability tough, it has self-sealing fueltanks which catches a lot of people off-guard since they think it is going to burn up.

Yeah I think it's better than Zeros as well. I wouldn't say it's fragile, but it's not sturdy either.

I had a unexpected carry yesterday in a D-9 with Ju-288 going gunship mode and managed to pull it off. It was a weird game, cuz enemy team had like a 4 premium Mk. IX LFs. Thanks to your vids i got better at the game, thanks ^^.

Adam, i have a question, what can i do as la-15 against swift ? As a new jest player i find it annyoing that there seems to be nothing going for me.
Haven't played either of them, so can't say.
So I know how to change the prop angle and the oil and radiator in flight I just can’t get it to hold onto the setting I want. It will only let me do 0% 50% or 100%. Is that normal? I also have to hold down the button to keep the setting I want in place.
No not normal at all. Do relative control or whatever that's called.

I have a problem with the italian Vampire:
using landing flaps while turning and rolling causes a lot of '' lag-rolls ''.
I might be about to get a shot on someone then my plane rolls 90 degrees ( usually downwards ).
Other times the plane just slowly rolls on it's own in a glitchy way.
I've only experienced that with that plane and it happens regularly.
If you experience that too or know someone that does pwease let me know ^^
Either my internet provider doesn't support Vampire fb 52a landing flaps or Gaijoob did a dumdum.

How do you use heavy fighters? I can't seem to figure it out, even the P-38 which is pretty maneuverable. They climb and turn worse, and are often just a little faster than single-engines, so what are you supposed to do?
Yeah I don't like heavy fighters myself. I have a P38 and Hornet videos that show what I do though.

yeah Japnese catch fire very easily especially against 50 cals.
How do you always seem to be at optimal attitude (above most enemies) and at the battle zone? I always seem to be below enemies when I'm climbing towards the battlefield, and too late to the battle if I side-climbed. Any advice for this?
It depends on the plane and the optimal climb. You'll lose a decent amount of climb rate if you climb too slow or too fast. Try to see at what IAS I climb in that particular plane and it should be reasonably close to optimal.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Ah I see! But what about the direction of climb? I understand that planes that are bad at climbing should side climb a bit, but for planes with good climb like the Ta, 109s and Spitfires, do I just point my nose and head towards the center of the battle

Nice, the view of the whole dogfight at the end was a cool idea, i could look at inndividual players and see what they do. It could be made from a bit bigger distance though.
In replays though you can't see what they were looking at etc, and you'd lose the big picture by seeing what the individuals are doing. I think it would be confusing.

What do you normally do to combat the over-rolling issues this plane has? It's been the main source of frustration for me when trying to get the guns on target, especially when they are substantially worse than the type-99 20mm which I think comes down to the crap belts the Ho-5s get. Personally I would just be happy taking two 12.7s over those guns. Feels like they do more than the 20s and they get quite a bit more ammo. Maybe that's just me though. :P
I just stop using the roll key before I reach the ideal orientation. Takes practice.
Nah 2 Hos are better than 2 12.7mm.
@@AdamTheEnginerd It's not much of a problem when I'm using the keys to roll as I don't use the keys much when I'm lining up a firing solution, it's when I'm trying to make mouse based adjustments that I've had issues keeping the nose on target and I don't want to use the keyboard keys because it will be a bit much. I don't know, it just has an overall twitchy feel in general that is rather unpleasant because of how nimble it is which is what makes it great at the same time, and I as well as a few of the people I fly with have had trouble with it. Combine that with what little shots you do land on target don't seem to do much and it becomes a frustrating aircraft to fly. And yeah I suppose they are more powerful than 12.7s but they're not anywhere as powerful as pretty much any other 20mm in damage output.
Ikr. Ki 43 is my money maket where all battles are a guaranteed win. You just have the upper hand on everything. I easily get 2-5 kills every match after that i forcefully returned home cuz of low fuel and very little ammo

I notice that you change the true airspeed indicator for the IAS, is that for any particulary reason?
Ias is what the plane actually feels. As the air gets thinner your true airspeed has to be higher to get the same amount of air affecting your plane, so IAS is what actually affects turn performance, wing rip, lift, etc.
To give the good example. IAS is better and simpler to use. It did mess with my aim when I first switched.

One more drawback: ki 43 breaks its wing at 500km/h when we do decent turn. This made ki 43 uncomfortable to use. Zero is better for me
I broke my wings once and it was a fluke. You don't have to be careful really.

It's called the "local host".
How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

Nah, ripped once (in a turn) and it looked like a fluke. Sure it has a low max dive speed, but it's not easy to get at that speed.

L'armement n'est pas vraiment un problème sur cet avion mais plus les munitions je trouve. Je suis très habitué aux 200 obus du Bf 109 donc pour moi 150 par canon c'est trop peu :P

Le F6F était encore rapide cependant, et je ne voulais pas tourner sans regarder et donc j'aurais raté ma chance de tirer.

Also, why would the Hellcat turn with you? Almost every time I tried that against even non-Japanese fighters, I get rekt.

It's situational. If you have teammates nearby (like here) that can back you up, it forces the better turning plane to keep turning with you, making them slower and less likely to dodge your teammates' attacks. Of course don't turn with one if it's 1vs1.
Damn. Skin looks pretty good. I actaully have plans to color my little Airacobra lilac with purple stripes and put equals signs on the tail, but I can't cause one - my aim is terrible, and two - I dont have a personal beefy pc to play war thunder in.
Great job! Underloops are a must in planes like ki43s and Zeros i do it as much as i can so i can turn into someone while not loosing much energy. Also i learn to dodge well playing Japan becuase one good hit and your a ball of fire well done!

You forgot to mention the absolute garbage rudder on the Ki-43-III, even worse than P51 rudder making it so that you have to line up your roll perfectly to get guns on target. You do learn to deal with the fast hyper roll of the Ki-43 after a while though and it becomes a very formidable glass cannon.
It's so sensitive to rolls though, I can't imagine what a nightmare it must have been to fly in real life.
Honestly I didn't mind it, P51 rudder is much worse. It's the roll sensitivity that hits me more.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Strange because I find its rudder authority practically non-existent and that is why you need to use the roll instead, which in a combination is so hard.

The thing is they did try to hit and run which is the right thing to do against slow dogfighter, but they fucked up at doing it.
Even if they'd simply swarm you, that would do the job better than it.

Yup, if that F6F was a half-decent pilot while you stalling @2:03 you'd be a fireball. Uncoordinated attacks against decent/good pilots using low turn radius planes can be reversed to a certain level but these guys you fought were to say the least... special in their own way.

One trick I use for killing dodgy bois like yourself is rather than booming in from the top or the same alt, fall down to the ground, skirt along it and attack them from behind/the side like that. If you're ground level, they can't dodge under you.
Can only do it 1-2 before running out of speed.

@@AdamTheEnginerd Actually I was thinkin a bit, and not really. it's BnZ'ing but with an extra step. Boom down, but not on top of them. Skirt along the ground from a km away or so. Hit them from the side or beneath or whatever. (Worst case scenario here is being forced to head on), and then zoom up again. If your plane loses a lot of speed along 1 km of ground skirting, sure, but in a Dora, or a Hellcat like the one you're fighting here it should work quite well.

What does MER stand for?
Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when maneuvering. Different aircraft will lose speed at different rates depending on their power, weight, wing, geometry, etc. I did some tests and made a video explaining it if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/wLA8cspXbbE/видео.html
