Thanks for the actual hwy numbers. I just bought the new GC Overland edition and because it was $10k cheaper I went with the V6 model. So far I’m getting 26 mpg running hwy speeds and really happy with it. I had a 2018 wk2 and like this new model even better.

We had a Cherokee Trailhawk and loved the thing. We towed a light camper and off-roaded a lot. Now we need a larger camper and more interior space, and this checks all the boxes, as it can tow 6,000 pounds. We wouldn't consider buying it new. The alternative would be a truck, or maybe buying a motorhome that can tow something fun.

We currently own a Cherokee Trailhawk as well, though we have it listed for sale.

It’s not a soccer mom car it’s actually for people that are hiking or mountain biking and need capacity but without the crap ride of the wrangler. That’s exactly who this is marketed for - people that are going to actually use it for what it’s been intended for.

Third Video saying the same thing. I personally like the Trailhawk GC . Comparing a Wrangler vs GC is apple and oranges. Different clientele. 20" wheels in the higher trims of 4xe makes it quite a bit harder to do any more challenging trails. everything wrapped in leather might be good for light overloading, not trail riding. The price tag obviously puts it in a certain class, but really , it's kind of its own class. The luxury SUV's being used for comparison are more luxurious in some ways, but way less capable in others . I guess it truly is a Jeep thing. Different strokes for different folks.

For me, I see the $73k price tag and just know there are many other vehicles I would rather have, personally, for that price. It is a solid platform, just not what I wanted, sadly.

I leased my GC Trailhawk. Many reviewers make the mistake by simply looking at the MSRP. I got a $7,500 tax credit on it which makes the payment lower than the V6. Talking about the V8 on the 2-row is mood because it's no longer offered. Comparing this to the Wrangler is apples to oranges. The offroad advantage of the Wrangler is leveled out by the comfort/luxury advantage of the Grand Cherokee.
I also own a Summit Reserve 4xe and even that one is complete different compared to the Trailhawk.

      What are the big differences?

@@omni_0101 The entire driving experience due to the different wheels and tires. The seats are completely different, too, as well as the interior.

Best thing is get one on an aggressive lease program and turn in the keys in 3 years. My area had base 4xe’s for $469 a month w/ 3k down after about 16k in discounts and incentives…

      It was.
We had the AT4 before this and lamented its $50k price tag. I take all that back now.
