Not only does he look sick, he’s like the most fun character in the game! And he has super high potential, you’re the best kazuya player i’ve seen. Are you canceling out of side b to get out of the animation quicker similar to focus attack? also how did you get rising punch out of down tilt?? I didn’t know that was possible!
I also think he's the most fun character in the game. His ceiling is insanely high as well which makes playing him well so satisfying. Thank you so much for that I really appreciate you thinking I'm the best you've seen, you made my day! So side B is interesting, you don't cancel it the same way with focus attack, you're just able to kind of shorten the end animation by inputting an attack right after and you'll be able to hit them while they're still stunned. You can't combo rising punch out of down tilt, but down tilt sets up a tech chase scenario because of the massive hitstun. If they don't tech, then you get while rising punch. If they tech role behind you, you will auto turn around and still get rising punch. If they tech role away, you can dash side B them and get a punish
@@1122workout ok, so you’re canceling it using down back tilt. That makes sense. If you’re fast enough can you cancel it with one of the shoryuken inputs, like the shoryuken-b one? Sometimes when they’ve been disabled like that it’s difficult to hit them while they’re on the ground, at least during a fast paced fight.
@@BigOnah008 yeah you should be able to. You can just move earlier than you might think after side B. You can also use any other tilt as well after side B. If you want to do shoryuken B, you can true combos that after down back tilt for extra damage
Bro, great video as always, now that i've finally interiorized how to do gates of hell from the right side of the stage, I've found out that my spacing and edge guarding game are lacking, your videos are a great source of info, love them!

Haha I'm 100% ok with it too! With wifi zeldas you just have to wait for the Up B and punish because on shield it's easily punished unless spaced perfectly because otherwise they'll do neutral B and then you can punish that after

Btw how are u getting onto the platform and setting up for the rising punch like that? I know u can full hop and air dodge down at the right time to get onto the platform quickly. But how to set up for the rising punch without falling through the platform? I'm trying to learn his combo game and I can do the ewgf combos but if they land on a platform it always messes me up 😅
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you're liking the Kazuya clips! That's great you can do EWGF combos. You're right, you can full hop and air dodge down to get onto a platform to Waveland, and when you air dodge down you keep holding down without letting the control stick go back to neutral and kazuya will crouch on a platform letting you set up for rising punch tech chases. I hope this helps!

Kazuya first hit is the equivalent of ICs starting to wobble. Just hope they drop it or drop your own controller. lmao
Hahaha that is actually true! The only way you can get out of Kazuyas combos is if the Kazuya messes up or if they don't react to their DI but DI is shown through a blue line during hitstun so that's just free haha

Me neither, I had a conversation with other people in the comments and I think what happens is banjo bounces off the stage and right after he doesn't have invincibility anymore, but I slowed it down and I couldn't see him bounce off so I still don't know honestly

@@fgcbird sometimes you're out of range for the while rising punch to hit. If you're in the middle of the platform then it doesn't matter and you cover every tech option. If you're closer to one side of the platform and and tech to the other way while rising will miss but you can side B and that will connect

Haha yeah a lot of people have been asking about that, including me haha. I think it's possible he bounced off the stage and I spiked him like the frame after, but even slowing it down to .25 speed I still couldn't see him bounce so I still don't know for sure haha
I have to give it to you, you really demostrate this one thing:
Kazuya can get creative with his combo extenders/starters. I can never tell which one you're going to do next, and I'd never think Side B can combo after the Nair. I'd just go with Utilt or Crouch Jab, but some characters fall off of it.
I want to 0 death as consistently as you, but I barely do.
Thank you so much! I try and mix up what combo routes I use. Some characters you can't crouch jab into electric so you have to use something else, and on short characters I think up tilt doesn't work either. Side B and demon God fist both combo off of nair at certain percents which is so sick and amazing because it just resets them and does massive damage. And you can of course 0 to death too, just takes some practice

Love the wakeup Left Splits Kick at 3:05, hadn't occurred to me that it could work. Was that tap forward once for ledge getup, then again + A, similar to wakeup Shoryu?
That was get up and then it was right then right and A at the same time. If you do the second input with A it gives a really quick and instant reflect which is really useful so I'm happy I figured that one out haha
@@1122workout I labbed it a little and you can do it with only 2 forward inputs, just have to hold the 1st forward input until you're in the getup animation. That said, I would absolutely prefer your version online

@@1122workout You hit him just before the initial start up otherwise he would have I-Framed through your down smash.

When banjo doesnt time side B correctly he bumps on legde and lose the invincibility, thats was happened there
@@jasonlobo2350 you're right that's what happens in terms of invincibility and you might be correct that that happens here, I even just slowed it down and tried to go frame by frame and I still couldn't see him bounce off. It might have been the 1 frame he lost his invincibility after bouncing off the stage and that's the only explanation even if I can't see him bounce off so you're probably right

do you have a guide for Kaz vs Lucas? I can't seem to get the spacing right and such
I feel like it's about patience with Lucas and utilizing crouch dash cancels. We probabaly can go through his nair and zair with down B armor. Our reflect on his pk fire is really good because it will kill him super early. And back tilt round house is really good also swatting him out of the air. Plus electric and dragon upper cut

Haha thank you so much! For EWGF it's about finding what works for you in terms of both movement of the analog stick and also timing of the A button and then practicing that over and over. You can press A at the the forward input or at the down input.
➡️↘️⬇️🅰️↘️ press a lightly and let go fast, once you get it you'll never miss the input again. To get the input it's mostly muscle memory and practice.

They're all pretty much true. You can't SDI his combos and I can react to someone's DI because there's a blue streak that shows where they're DI is going. So yes, these are true EWGF combos

@@jasonlobo2350 haha its super helpful for Kazuya players so I'm good with it! And usually I feel it's so quick on most moves it's hard to tell but with Kazuya because of the stun, you have a lot of time to react

@@1122workout Well actually yes, I wanna master the EWGF and find a way to approach my opponents since his reach sucks.
@@flutterboypr6481 his reach doesn't actually suck even though a lot of people think so. Since he has so much invincibility on so many of his poking tools, yeah they're not the fastest, but it's not like he'll be punished if he's hit on his leg during a back forward tilt because that move is ridiculous. Up tilt is a huge hitbox with a lot of invulnerability as well and down forward is a big scoop hitbox with invincibility too. In terms of approaching, crouch dash is really good and canceling crouch dash into back dash, dash walk back, shield, or tilts is amazing. I've crouch dashed across the entire stage against a min min throwing out 2 f smashes and I went right through them. You can also approach with EWGF because of full body invincibility too. For EWGF, that's just practice and figuring out what works best for you for when you press A, either at the down forward input or the down input, or even in-between.

@@stephenhawking4611 that's very interesting for you to say/recognize about true combos. In general it's satisfying because you feel like you implemented what you practice and you did a good job executing. Especially with Kazuya doing electrics that's magnified because it actually is hard. On the other hand getting combos that aren't true are also really satisfying because you either read or predicted your opponent meaning you're in their head which feels cool. Both can be very satisfying so that's an interesting point to bring up
@@1122workout exactly! In general all of the FGC reps have such great versatility; whether the combo is true or not, it becomes more satisfying when you realize how much skill it would require to pull it off. I still get that feeling when I simply input Shoryuken; it’s just so satisfying to hit the simplest of things. Sometimes I get a bit handsy fishing for focus so I can just do something cool, but even off something like focus it’s still sick. I also want to thank you for your Ken and Ryu combo clips, I’ve adapted many of those combos into my gameplay!

Sorry but to the idiots tossing projectiles at you they earned those loses, its all over youtube how op his counter is, i have not yet to battle a decent kazuya online but i fight against lvl 9 and i always try to avoid tossing projectiles at him.

Ive tried using kazuya myself and Just cant get use to his move inputs. I do fairly well against a lvl 9 so i wouldn't mind playing someone as good as you, i don't have much content but i do have a video of my mario vs kazuya
@@domingosantiago6137 it takes some time but with just practice you'll get used to his inputs in no time, probabaly a few hours in training mode but depends on the person
Kazuya has very low hitstun to nerf his cpmbo read potential~
however! If the play knows how to ewgf or knows the exact trajectory of each of his moves, one hit is the equivalent of losing a stock.
High level kazuya can be outdone but only if you play with tekken in mind, and try to read your opponent and watch his movements, if you do what that zelda did and start spamming.... You just threw the match away
One hit is definitely the equivalent of losing a stock that's for sure! And yeah, that zelda was just spamming because 1, it's an online zelda, and 2 they were definitely mad they died to their own phantom haha
