The method that I’m having a lot of consistency with is doing a circle motion around the controller starting from full left or right and then ending with bottom left or bottom right depending on which way you’re facing

That's because 100% better than 1 is 2, and you can pull this move off within 2 frames. I've accidentally pulled it off because of it being that much easier.
Something else I found is that you have to press A pretty lightly, I realized that holding down A is the only way to get the regular WGF in slow motion. But when I sinply tapped in slow motion it did EWGF
My issue was that I thought I was tapping A, but it was registering as a hold. If you keep doing dragon uppercut, try pressing and releasing A twice as fast as you normally would.

I found the most easiest way to do EWGF guys and every one in the chat Practice Ken FD crescent kick it’s two hits now when u master that in both directions add a holding down forward after you pressed FDA-> DF thank me later Ken is amazing to practice for kazuya it’s the same input
If you imagine just getting underneath the opponent and uppercutting the inputs seem less like inputs and more like real like tactics. Just aim the fist underneath the characters chin for the first move. The second move is a standing still stun. A lot of people haven’t realized this yet….
Okay guys, I wanna try to help so lmk if this helps at least a little bit. If you're stressed out about doing down and then A then don't worry because there's actually a different approach. Use the 1/4 feature and instead of Forward, Down + A, Downright, do Forward (slight delay) A, and then do the rest of the inputs normal but slightly faster. This might depend on your joycon/controller, maybe not. I'm using binbok controllers which are pretty decent with ppl with big hands. (If you get forward smash when you do it then your probably doing it too fast), (I currently don't know what to say if you get crouch dash other then a possibility that the controller doesn't register forward and a as usual), and (if you get normal then.. idrk either lol sorry.)
I still don't quite get it. It's a hard move to pull off and I've watched videos and it keeps doing regular wind god fist. I do it exactly like the move list says, "input forward, down, and then A plus down forward" and it never works for me. The input commands are not accurate. Maybe I'll eventually understand it
I found that a consistent way of doing it is pushing forwards then immediately do a half circle from the back to the from pressing the attack button when you're about at the bottom it worked like 8 times in a row for me
i got a question, what can i do if i do dash attack instead of the input? i know it can be something because of the speed, but i tried to reduce the sensibility thing but i still usually do dash attack
You're either missing the down forward or earlier inputs so it isn't registering it as directional input move. It's also very possible you aren't inputting fast enough
Imma be straight up honest, practicing ewgf is very, and I mean *VERY* irritating. Especially with how many times you have to restart if ewgf doesn’t come out.
You’re probably accidentally inputting Dragon Uppercut. (Which means you’re holding A) You just need to tap A. Practice doing the Wind God fist, then you’ll have a better understanding with an EWGF.
It's not a buffer, it's an input window. The input window for the move is 2 frames in smash instead of 1 in Tekken. This is due to the difference between analogue and digital inputs. Smash uses analogue stick inputs whereas Tekken uses digital inputs. All things considered the smash version is still more lenient just not by a full frame.
It's wild because I've been playing Tekken since the first game and could never get the timing of this move perfectly. And still can't after hours of trying to figure this shit out. It's hella frustrating STILL. I can do literally everything else with ease except EWGF

If you turn on invincibility and you press A during the I frames of crouch dash, you'll get ewgf
