Wow! You are bussy! This time of the year we just relax up here. No pumps, no fiters, no clarity to care about. This is the time of the year to rest and wait for next season. Beeing a koi keeper in UK seems quite stressful. 😀👍
On New Years day, my Oase pump Wifi controler lost connection with the router, and it took me until the next day to figure it out and get the system back up and running. Last week the pond was 8c, today (SW London), it's now down to 3c. At this time of year, the pond is not in direct sunlight until March, so I turn the UV off. This year, for some as yet known reason, the pond has gone cloudy, nothing to do with algae, and I have added nothing to the water. It's a funny old game. 🤔
Hi Andy, I bet panic mode kicked in with the pump but glad it seems to be okay now matey. anyway let me wish you a happy new year to you and all the family for 2025 and plenty of great videos to come cheers Bernie
Hiya, yeah just a slight panic wondering how I was going to explain to my wife that we may not be going to the party or she was going on her own.. I may not have seen 2025 in either case..🤔😄😄😄
@@KoiPondLifestyleyou’ll always get fine sediment and algae buildup (the slimy stuff) in the impeller housing, which can cause the impeller to rub rather than float freely. It good to clean it out at the very least once a year. You’ll likely find the pump works better and at lower speed too, because it doesn’t take much at all to restrict the movement of an impeller, due to its floating nature 👍
Interesting thought. You'd have to ensure it doesn't get stuck anywhere and doesn't block up any water flow. I think the media you use acts as a muck catcher doesn't it..🤔🤔👍
Hopefully your pump will hold out Andy it's always a good idea to have a second pump on hand for emergencies. And now we have the flipping white stuff and 0 temperatures 🥺 yuck. Is there anywhere local that i could get one of those Syphons ? . Gwen 🧓
Hi mate happy new year again, and remove and clean the impeller as it can get a build-up on it, which causes it to stick. Jobs a goodun 👍
Hiya, Happy New Year.. Good point. Thinking back now I've been putting KMA through the pump recently that could have built up on the impeller.. 🤔🤔
No stress here in Dronfield ,uk.nothing needs doing ,fish happy and moving,no covers either
Sounds like you've got it sussed over there.😉👍.

Try taking the Impeller out cleaning it with some sand paper and putting it back in.
