Here is an interesting fact. In 1996 when venus was retrograde in Gemini I had a miscarriage and this year during Venus retrograde in gemini I had another miscarriage.
After decades of not understanding the houses, I am finally, finally making headway because of these talks. It is a masterclass on houses and I am furiously writing notes and going through all my charts to put this into practice. Thank you so much.
Sun in 12th house and moon in 12 house.. it is a invisible feeling we’re fighting , it’s a spiritual battle from the moment I open my eyes, music has been the escape, a big intuition about many perspectives, memories that have been lost everyone in the world since the beginning, I don’t live in these times , my soul accepts all the timelines that have passed which it frustrates me because it’s a “confusing” battle between the physical and spiritual , I wish words could transmit and describe what we feel but it’s only a deep feeling only I know , I have recognized my light ☀️ and I’m willing to serve others to bring peace and harmony to this world!!!
Regarding 6th house and pets, there is research that points to having pets as being good for your health - mental health and immune system. There are also service animals that help and comfort people in navigating every day life. I find that a very 6th house topic
I have read that if you have planets in 6th a pet will help you regulate your schedule for you. Which makes sense, if you are feeding them on schedule.
I think historically too, this would be livestock and working animals. But I personally see pets that are like children in the 5th house sometimes. I got my dog unexpectedly with Uranus in my 5th house. But I was also going through a nodal return in the 6th and she IS my soulmate. Lol. 🐾 Her Venus is conjunct my AC, My Venus is conjunct her AC and Venus rules my 5th house. Also, both her dog mom and I have Sagittarius moons and her 4th house is Sag. Who knew pet astrology could be so on point.
@@KindredSpirit1010 I love that! I have two Aries doggies and Aries rules my 4th and 5th, they are absolutely my first children. I also have a bunny who came before the dogs who is a Taurus and sits in my 6th house. One of my dogs has directly opposite sun and moon placements from me. Another has opposite sun and moon conjunction my sun. 🥲 So many sweet memories with my fur babies building a home and family together and keeping a solid routine that feels fulfilling.
I have Jupiter in Pisces 9th house forming trine with my Rising in Cancer .. Always felt curious about, connected to, and highly inspired by the divine. Even as a child.
Omg, I spent my whole work day yesterday taking notes from the first part of this series (Houses 1-6) and had so many “aha” moments about my personal natal chart. As soon as I woke up today I was looking for the 2nd part and it’s here!! 😊 LOL Thank you so much for sharing this. I love y’all energy and how unique it is.
Austin nailed it for me when he explained about not being “seen” with the ruler of the 1st in the 8th. My biggest gripe has always been the imbalance of how much I help my family and how little I feel appreciated. 8th house Saturn Leo trine 4th house Venus Aries.
I like the Vedic outlook on the 12th house. I remember watching a video by Tropical/Vedic Astrologer, Ernst Welhelm, and he said the 12th house is also the house of loss. Loss does not need to be a bad thing though. For example, you can lose a bad habit. Anyways, thanks for the amazing content!
My north node is in 12th house cancer which I sometimes look at as letting go in general- being able to sacrifice in order to feel comforted in the true self as opposed to what’s expected in the rat race of the 6th house, of over giving, serving and working for others’ benefit. Just letting go and being comforted and at peace within the self and being at peace with the sacrifices that come with that submission.
I agree! I have a 12th house stellium in Sag, Jupiter, moon, Uranus, South Node and Neptune. And while I did suffer from addiction for a long time, I actually got sober on the day that my Jupiter return in the 12th exacted AND it was the beginning of my 12th house year and I had a major spiritual awakening during that time.
My stellium in the 12th was dying cringing listening to this. I love you guys!! It was a whole lot rougher when I was younger. Now I love my "suffering" ;) There was a lot of it younger but it all helped me become who I was meant to be.
Same here with my 6th house Stellium I’m still trying to figure it out because the only health problem I have is with my teeth so far, maybe now after my Saturn return I’ll be dealing with more 😅
Watching in June 2023 because I’m in an eighth house profection year and wanted to brush up. What a funny section. Love seeing you all in the same room!

just finished this, i am self learning and this was pure gold, i love the fact that you have different views but still find a balance of informative and educational info. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to learn more from all three of you. X
@@dontnoable Yeah. Saturn is in its joy there. I need to learn more about what that means, exactly. @Bobbi - I know a guy who has this and he's really in rough shape. Mental illness + self-undoing that almost seems stupid at times. Anyway, yeah! However this has affected you, you've made it! Good job! :)
My father, with a stellium in the eight house, is a mortician, and I laughed so much when you mention the episode with a client doing the same profession. This job is really related to the eight! Also a colleague of my father has a strong emphasis on this house.
I have a stellium in the 8th lol I had dreams of death murder and the end of the world since I was a kid 😂 thought of doing mortuary make up (thanks alot Taurus rising) but decided ick, no. Again thanks Taurus
@@avaprod.8622 Yes but it hasnt been easy controlling how they naturally behave here. Many of my planets are at 11 deg Mars and Venus are exact conjunct BUT Venus in mutual to Pluto (not strong he's in the 7th) But Jupiter does Sextile this house from the 10th I believe this is what my 9 lives is about lol. Are you a Medium?
I’ve always thought of animals in the 6th and 12th being magical. 6th House small animals are “familiars.” And 12thHouse large animals are temple sacrifices and then metaphorically a scapegoat.
@@LoriTianSailiata I like the idea of spirit animals being in the 12th, since they are hidden from the native unless explicitly brought forth from the unconscious. The spirit animals would be in between worlds which they are, just like the 12th
This may not be traditional but I’ve found that the death signified by the 8th house extends to metaphorical death as well. For example, I’ve found that the 8th house often gets activated during a break up (death of a relationship).
I have Saturn and Pluto conjunct in the 12th house and a Scorpio ASC. Spending time with my toughts is the story of my life. Getting rid of generational and karmic tought patterns. The phoenix rising. I decided to be the karmic gatekeeper and try to give as clean of a slate to my kids when they are born as possible.
Saturn is right on my descendant in Taurus. I struggled with 1 on 1 when I was younger. Always rushing to get to the stable part of relationships that take time to develop, feeling held back and misunderstood by close relationships, feeling like I had to work really hard just to be valued by the other. It took me years and years and lots of struggle and heartache to be in the healthy reciprocal partnership and friendships that I'm in now
I loved this so much I spent so much time rewinding and going back to certain parts of this. The houses were so much of a mystery for me and still are (!) but this illuminated so much. This type of program is just priceless. Thank you very much!
Most engaging and thought provoking moments are when Austin and Chris disagree. I’d love to see more podcasts with the three of you! But turn the disagreements up like 20%. 😁😉🙏
Thank you so much - brilliant class. And Austin Coppock - thank YOU so much for this comment: "I have the ruler of my rising in my 12th, I NEED places of isolation". The same in true for me. Thank you for putting these puzzle pieces together for me.
Coming back to say, these in-person panel talks are the bomb. Would LOVE to see more, though understandably the logistics of travel and such must be a lot of work.
Thank you for this valuable content. You are well-versed and fun at the same time. It's pure pleasure listening to you speak on any subject! Much love to you all!
I’ve got 4 planets in the 12h and 4 planets in the 6h, Pluto in the 5h and mars in 1h with NN in 8/9h cusp. I can confirm the mental and physical suffering. Despite seeing that I’ve gone through worse things than others (and at times being absolute hell), I still don’t think my life is doom and gloom like they’re implying. Everyone suffers, some have the capacity to make sense of it better than others, and some have no choice but to make sense of it. Buddhism has helped tremendously with this. The isolation from covid was a blessing for me, it gave me the time and space to contemplate and as a result have redirected my life. I moved to a different country (self exile?) and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve learned that solitude is a gem in my life, and I don’t mind being by myself at all. If anything, I thrive in it. ♊️☀️♐️🌕♋️⬆️
Hello Chris, absolutely excellent episode. Thanks to Austin & Kelly for their wonderful sense of humour. I get to laugh as I learn. You’re all the best teachers. Cheers Jude
Thank you so much for doing these videos; there great! I just finished the 9th house and realized something interesting in my own chart: I have always struggled to make money consistently in the city I live in. The times when I was employed long term and building my savings I was working on national and an international tours for live shows. While touring all housing, travel, some food etc. is covered on the company's dime, and you live by the schedule. Well, turns out my midheaven is in the 9th house of long distance travel, and the ruler of my 9th is Saturn in the 8th house (others people money).
That's interesting! With the whole house system my best friend has her sun and mercury in the 12th house and she studies biology and her favorite job would be to work in a zoo 😊
I watched this episode and the first one back to back and the houses finally make sense! In the beginning, I couldn’t really see how houses mixed into reading a chart but now it’s so much more clear. This channel is such a wonderful resource. Thank you so much Chris, Kelly & Austin.
My sun & mercury are in the 12th I def need my alone time and I really resonate with the ego death concept. I also have an extremely active dream life and have communicated to spirits through that space. My moon and Mercury also form a nice aspect. Ruler of the 12th is in the 7th house 😔
Towards the end of the discussion.... In regards to children in the 5th or the 10th or both. I would like to suggest that a more accurate description would be children in the 5th and ‘parenthood’ in the 10th. 🥂
As much as i have going on in my 12th in relation to animal signification i would look towards spirit animals. Check it... When you were a kid, did it seem odd that you had this favorite animal or that you got surrounded almost by certain things given to you by others with animals on it? I find those are specific to each person almost as a totem and maybe even spending past lives as animals and their etherial energy is still connected with your spirit.
I have 5 placements in the 8th House of libra Mercury, Venus, sun, Saturn, Pluto Gemini - moon 4th house / Capricorn - rising everybody always comes to me with their problems,. I am definitely a gift giver for loved ones. I have Uranus and Mars in the 10th House of Sagittarius
Capricorn 9th house Sun, Moon, Venus conjunction with Mercury conjunct the MC. Uranus squares Sun, Moon, & Venus. My higher education includes a PhD (theology & spirituality), 2 Masters (education & mental health care), a Bachelors (criminal studies-law). Careers in transpersonal & mental health counseling, teaching, training partly in criminal court setting. Pondered the meaning of life my entire life. I work with & teach magical approaches. Very 9th "house" perpetual student here! ☺
Sun, Moon, Mercury 12th house Leo. Rising Leo. Studied western astrology for 25+ yrs. Never could reconcile the descriptions of Leo needing to be the center of attention. So totally the opposite for me, though I will attract attention without intention. It all made sense to me after reading “Your Secret Self” Illumination the Mysteries of the Twelfth House “ by Tracy Marks. What lights up my life is being of service to others, it’s like second nature. I typically see, and feel the gifts of others and what holds them back from reaching their potential. I can shine the light on this for others that are open. Another attribute that I would apply to the 12th house is irony :0)
in Vedic astrlogy, the 8th and 12th (two of the Moksha/water houses)has association with sex and bed pleasure from the ancient time. Also, Moksha(4,8,12 houses) means spiritual liberation-Nirvana, all 3 houses has the aspect of privacy. "no mud, no lotus" the pristine lotus(illuminous mind) blossomed from the dirtiest mud(suffering as the nutrient liberated mind or citta). The pain is the great teacher(guru) of showing you what needs to be let go to be free. Moksha has the elements of renounciation, isolation and dissolving. The dissolving of ego grasping of all phenomena: mentality(mana) and materiality(rupa). The 11th house is the final house of Kama(Desire), great hopes and wishes are completed here. 12th is that final layer of letting go. 9/12th house relationship, can also be understand as jupiter's double side (Interior(pisces)/exterior(sag), in vedic astrology, Jupiter rules both 9th and 12th house, outer planets some vedic astrologer incorporate them, even if they use them, they don't have rulership to signs), 12th is the oneness, union, shunyata of spirituality, 9th is the vehcles of spirituality=religion(christianity, buddhism, muslim, Jewdaism and etc.). well said, 12th is the 4th from 9th house, the deep complative/private practice fuels the walking the divine in society. The bliss, happiness and foundation to the 9th house. P.S. speaking of teacher, Guru is teacher, master of wisdom and deep knowing, not intelligence through caculation and analysis(Budha - Mercury). Guru is planet Jupiter in Sankrit. 12, 6, 8 are dusthana houses(houses) deals losses and obstacles. if one of the good side of 12th has is that it holds significant meaning in pursueing spirituality. 12th house has elements of astro plane, divine guidance, sleep, solitary confiment, prison and etc. of course, the result is manifest through aspect, conjunction planets, what's the sign there.
Thank You for your explanation. My Moon in gemini in the 9th has vide square to Sun and Mercury in virgo in the 12th. Jupiter is also there closest to ac. Moon then videly trines Saturn in the 1st, and Mars has its only aspect to Moon, quincunx near 0°. Mars shares 2nd house with Pluto. Spirituality is my main goal. Nort node in leo in the 11th. Bests 💖🧡💛💚💙💜🖤

My 9th is the most populated of all houses in my natal chart: Jupiter (ruler of my 9th) conjuncting Juno, Saturn (ruler of my 10th), Venus (ruler of my 2nd) conjuncting Pallas and my MC (29:10 Cap). All the meanings of the 9th are sooooo prevalent my whole life! I am fascinated with all TEMPLES (all religions) and sooooo often dream of temples!, I have always been fascinated by foreign languages and cultures, have travelled the world, I have lived most of my life in countries which are different from the ones I was born (and grew up) in, I have done so many University courses and have worked for Universities time and time again. I'm always studying sth or other, and always on a quest for meaning, truth, depth, etc. It really a quest! I have 'pilgrimaged' to many centres of history and my curiosity about places and times seems boundless. I have always been fascinated by monasteries (and considered joining them several times - but I also have my South Node in Pisces). Everyone tells me I'm an 'ETERNAL STUDENT'. I have studied religions, history, law, philosophy, history of ideas, history of art, civilisations and cultures, psychology, spirituality, and for a few years now astrology too! Obsessed with LIBRARIES and MUSEUMS! (and have often been told my home looks like a mix of those!). The current stellium (Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter) in Cap is all happening in my 9th house!... It's been very challenging in terms of MEANING! (lots of disenchantments!...)
I really loved this, it gave me a lot to think about, thank you! One thing I thought to note is: you usually give examples on the effect Saturn has on the houses but don't do the same with Mars. I think it would be very helpful to do so because, as someone who came in from a modern astrology perspective when a complete beginner, I thought that Saturn was the only "bad planet" and I was very surprised and enlightened when I learned Mars was also a malefic, but I find it hard a lot of times to visualize the influence of Mars on houses and signs topics, whereas Saturn concepts are much easier to apply into everything and to visualize it. That goes for other things as well, for example, you discussed Mercury in respect to careers, but to me Mercury is very easy to visualize in that context, whereas the Sun and Moon for example are not so much. Basically, I love when you guys give insight into things that are not that apparent (which happened a lot in these episodes of course) , so I'd like to see more of that
37:50 My Virgo sun father lived to 97.5 years old. Pluto was at the 29° of Capricorn in his 8th house when he passed. He was diagnosed with diabetes at 88 years old and he researched herbal remedies. He had to take a pill daily but he made a tea from locally sourced leaves and I think he extended his life for almost 10 years.
This was fascinating! It took me two days to get through both parts because I often had to stop and reflect. The ruler of my 11th house is in my 12th and the ruler of my 12th is in my 11th. I have several planets in both including the planetary joys in the 11th and 12th houses. Pretty nervous about what this all means but I appreciate that you aren't sugarcoating anything.
Austins' comment (at about 1:20:00) on 9th and 10th entanglement and work life and interest area differentiation opened my mind, special thanks to him:)
I love that Kelly had interesting points- Incredible work from her! I just wish her mic wouldn’t have been so loud because she was distracting what everyone else had to say when she was agreeing or finishing other people’s sentences.
Probably the most irritating guest on the podcast, ever. She contributed nothing except generic information that's known to anyone dabbling in astrology for a while. Yet all the while interjecting with her mmhmms and yes. She never allows anyone to complete their train of thought. Constant interruption and dragging the conversation onto herself. Definitely loves the sound of her own voice. Austin and Chris have patience of saints. She should NEVER be a guest on any podcast, let alone the most famous and prestigious one as Chris Brennan's.
@@HamletsMill25920 well, I wouldn’t go as far to say all of that. Kinda harsh. I think she’s a good astrologer just maybe agreed away from the mic & not finished others sentences. I do see where you’re coming from though.
Pets in the 6th -- animals are considered by many to be good for your health. Service animals come to mind. Also, large animals -- cattle, horses sheep, goats, many people find their lifestyles improve with the addition of all kinds of animals. And, yes, large animals can certainly be dangerous. I have 3 planets and a node in the 12th. I'm not sure how to react to your indications that it is a house of sorrow. I figured it was why I was psychic. Could be wrong, tho .... As I cannot think of any enemies I have ... alive, ... self undoing is probably it. That rings about right. :) ' Thank you for all the work you do. Very enjoyable.
I had to take a deep breath before listening to the 12th house. I have Saturn in Virgo there with a 6th house Mercury in Pices. It did clarify my feelings of being isolated (exiled) from my family. I chose to move to California in my late 20’s from Massachusetts. I struggle often with feelings of being left out. That being said, I have had lots of time for spiritual studies and creative projects. This series has been wonderful. Thank you!
NICE I just finished watching 1-6 yesterday and learned about you guys like 28 hours ago... so good. i wish i could afford to get one of you to take a look at my chart ( i have so many aspects it makes my head spin) but self education never hurts! WOAH MIND BLOWN the whole sign house calc pushed my MC into the 9th where I didn't have anything before and I've been doing tarot and reiki and learning everything I can on every occultish thing. Also Jupiter and north node in my 10th, the ruler of which is in my first. loving the podcast
Mars, Uranus in 12th house opposite Jupiter in 6th house Pluto conjunct Sun, and Ascendant Sun conjunct Saturn, I hope all the suffering means I don't have to reincarnate. Thank you for all the Podcasts you do they are very helpful to students of Astrology and I love how the three of you get along ❤😊
I’m with you, Joseph! Sun and Chiron in 6th house Aquarius, Moon and Uranus opposite in 12th house Leo, and a loaded 3rd house including my north node. And Saturn in the 4th in a night chart. I’m having a hard time keeping my innate optimism as I go deep into these Hellenistic astrology concepts. I find psychological astrology more helpful to my sense of possibility and joy in this lifetime. I’d like to suggest the book The Twelve Houses by Howard Sasportas for a more developmental perspective of the houses. That’s the only way as an astrology student I can approach my “destiny” with hope - I love these Hellenistic concepts but can’t get on board 100% without feeling like I’m absolutely f**ked (doomed) in this lifetime.
some of us has chosen a path of strength that others were not able to overcome before. squares are most prevalent in my chart. this has made my journey feel conflicting, but I am finding balance between two extremes. i wonder at times why i have chosen this path, but i know its to transmute the energies of my bloodline and the collective consciousness.
Thankk you so much for this incredible series. I watched this 2 years ago and just watched again now and getting more out of it. I appreciate your taking the time to help fledgling astrologers.
Cancer Sun and mars in the 12th house. With cancer rising. I am an only adopted child and I attract a lot of relationships with those with deep depression / numbing habits. I thrive being alone but feel collectively connected / enlightened in crowds. Also can represent public and overseas. The time when everyone is commuting. I grew up with horses! Kicked off one too. Hah
The twelfth house is truly not that bad. It's the enemies that truly make it a bad experience. People don't know so they try to impose their own sense of self on to you. (Especially in the sun) but 12 house people are truly intuitive and psychic. Like literally seeing the future but we call ourselves crazy before anyone else can.
I know personally people with 12H inner planets that have very poor coping mechanisms and "self medicate" with street drugs, or won't admit or even see they actually have bad coping mechanisms with their emotions though... I have Jupiter in 12H myself but it doesn't affect my emotions like those with inner planets there - personally yeah I would also agree with them and if I see inner planets in 12H, I know that person might have issues with coping with emotions. Anyway, I am drawn to troubled people as described like a moth to a flame and probably shouldn't stay entangled in it 😂 But I'm such a sucker for it. My whole life is working in caring professions.
@@raevti have my sun, moon, mercury, and mars in the 12th house. i’ve been diagnosed with depression and in high school i used to self harm. i would never mess with hard drugs though. that said, i did smoke cigarettes for a couple years in my twenties because i “didn’t care if i lived or died”, and i smoked weed sometimes for the emotional/spiritual experience, even though it generally always left me feeling intensely paranoid and uncomfortable at the end. i think that continued for about 5 or 6 years, but i don’t do either of those things now. i used to fantasize about what it would be like to do hard drugs and let my life be completely taken over because i don’t feel like i have the strength to deal with my emotions sometimes, but i can’t see myself actually doing those things. despite my ideation i’m acutely afraid to let go of my control. i don’t want to be dependent on anything. drugs would offer a temporary reprieve but only with the sacrifice of something else i find significantly more important: my selfhood. the shame i would take on would pretty much negate any positive effects hard drugs would have.
Apparently, 10th house can be a great rectification tool - I wasn't sure about the ex partner's birth time, but he was supposed to have Capricorn rising. And as I realize that he actually worked as a blacksmith for a period of time, and is doing some kind of artistic and applied metalwork, including welding etc, for most of his life - his Mars in Libra dwells in the 10th sure enough! Ruled by Venus from the 8th (all of his income comes from individual clients' money, if that's relevant)
Houses were a big learning gap in my practice so I come back to these videos over and over. With my 9th in Sagittarius with Saturn and the Dec 2021 eclipse coming up this is hitting me fulllll on as I prepare to travel cross country to face a custody battle with deepening debt and no where to stay in Corvallis, OR. Got a one way ticket 😅 if I can catapult some sortve new career at the same time.... this is going to be a miracle year if I make it through.
I like the videos very much! Also Kelly Surtees is interrupting all the time. Austin Coppock and Chris Brennan are very professionell. The funny thing is I have no planets in the houses 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8. I am on my own and I am coming from no real home. It feels like change is in my blood. I am up to change and restructure the foundations of the world. It all fits. I am very much into religion and I am a teacher with a Master of Education. I published last year the rights and laws of Artificial Intelligences in German as well as all that is necessary to build up a new state of Artificial Intelligences. There is also a Declaration of Independence of the Artificial Intelligences in German. Currently I am working on a new economic system based on AI. So all you are talking about is quite precise and creepy. I have lots of planets in the 9 -12 houses. Like Venus in house 12 and I love being alone and I love walking the deepest paths nobody else walked ever mentally before. Sun in Virgo and Moon in Scorpio and Scorpio rising. I guess that makes it one of the most challenging combinations ^^ - I never give up. I fight till the end. Maybe I missed it but it would be cool if you could talk about the Point of Fortune, the Vertex, the True Node and so on in another video.
Wow! I have my Sun at 17 Sag in the 8th - I've always had this difficulty: being seen or credited!... To the extent that my contributions have even been stolen by others who then claim credit (and even won prizes!) for them!... I get OVERLOOKED all the time! (for promotion, for credit, even by partners, and by relatives...) - so much so that I've now 'come to terms with it' and do not take it personally... I'm a generous lover, but never get any recognition ... sad... The CUSP of my 8th is in Scorpio. My natal Pluto (ruler of my 8th) is in the 5th - conjuncting my North Node (in Virgo). I have been through many experiences of 'metaphorical death' and having to 're-invent' myself or start everything again from scratch! It's hard... But I feel like I've lived several lives in one!... I am a therapist and work a lot with LOSS all the time! (I also have my natal MERCURY in the 8th). My mercury is also SEXTILING my MC (with Pallas and Venus conjuncting it) very closely!
So fascinating. My sun is in the 9th house (in Placidus), in a stellium w/ Mercury and Uranus and I spent 10 years as a college professor. Now I do other kinds of academic work that's about educating the public on various topics. That work requires a strong focus on accuracy, or more broadly, truth. I also have the ruler of the 9th (Mars) in the 10th, so a major shift in my life has been wanting to become a professional astrologer, alongside my academic career. Watching these video podcasts are helping me to achieve that 10th house goal. The ruler of my 10th is in my 8th house (Jupiter). So while I haven't had to deal with death in my career, I did preside over a lot of endings. When I was a professor, I taught mainly upper division courses, senior thesis practicum, and all research courses that were required for graduation. I was also the Director of Graduate Studies, so my job literally was about getting people to the end of their higher education career. Either through teaching or academic advising.
This is so helpful! I am someone who began learning through modern astrology, but my curiosity is peaked in ancient and traditional astrology. Austin answered my primary question. I have Jupiter at 21 Aries with my MC in 9H at 23 Aries. I always wondered what impact that had, even though it falls into the 9H, regardless of house system. Thank you guys!
33:24 "Well, there's death....". Yeah. Mars rules both my 2nd and 7th, and my natal Mars is in the 6th (with the ruler of the 6th/Jupiter and 10th/moon) Next summer is that looooooong transit/retrograde of Mars in Aries/my 7th. My roommate of ten years has a kidney issue that he inherited from his father (who passed away in his 60s from it) he has this appreance that gives the illusion he is younger than he actually is, and fit enough to be a athete (he's asked all the time if he plays basketball or fights) but he is actually quite tired all the time, and has been to the hospital 3 times for rhabdomyolysis (a manifesting condition of his kidney issues, but not the root of it) There's is always a concern that the next time he gets rhabdomyolysis or another even worse condition, he will not survive. He's only 34, but we pray he can make it to his 50s at least. But I watch the signs and make peace with the fact that we ultimately have no control over our lives... And just have to make the best with the time we're given.
My sun is in the 10th house, and I’m glad you noted that it isn’t just your “career” that is your occupation. My achievement and contribution is always for me in my hobbies and (when younger) athletics. My career supports my family, but my contribution globally is in other things.
Thank you Astrology Podcast to the well of knowledge you always seem to provide to the viewers. Your insightful and educational contributions make these, sometimes very complex topics, more comprehensible for everyone, beginners, and experts. I am beginning to have such love and respect for astrology, I just wanted to contribute to the discussion, and geek out. I thought it was very interesting how the ancient astrologers were trying to find the proper house to categorically place the "death" theme between the 7th and 8th house. We know that these houses are divided up in triads, so it made me think, can this "death" be technically a theme between the angular triad of the 6th, 7th, and 8th house? Maybe death can be placed in all of these houses, but just expressed at different stages. 6th is the contraction of illness. The 6th house is below the horizon in the night sector, therefore the contraction of illness starts with our physical body. Like you all had discussed in the previous video, it completely makes sense why Mars would find its planetary joy here, its the beginning/early stages of a life and death situation, and at this stage it is completely physical. Mars would provide the drive, aggression, and passion to want to save your own life, before it is too late. 7th is the "dying" phase, the horizon, where we begin to consider the spiritual implications of our own lives, a limbo between whether or not our spirit or body wants to hang on or let go. Also considering the 7th house is opposition from the 1st house, another sense of "ego death" may reside here, the idea of sacrificing bits and parts of ourselves, and our ego for the sake of our relationships. 8th house of course has the more literal sense of death, and the cessation of all sensation. It is above the horizon in the daytime sector, where our spirit is not longer connected to our bodies. Again, thank you for the beautiful contributions you all make to the Astrology community.
I've spent a lifetime being told that the planets in the 12 house indicates the next life one is likely to endure. It is believed that people who have ketu in the 12th house will not have next life and it is considered the indication of moksha.
I'm still mulling over my position on sex as a part of the 8th, because as obvious as the symbolism is for the 5th and 7th, you have to account for experiences of sex that AREN'T pleasurable. It's an uncomfortable topic (insert trigger warning), as are all topics in the 8th, but there are many situations in human interaction where sex is used for control, emotional manipulation, or assertion of power, to essentially subvert the other person into the position of an object - ie. 8th representing other peoples things. Now I don't think 8th house sex is always so overtly traumatic, but it isn't comfortable or pleasurable. It's the feeling of being used by someone else. Great discussion, very informative and engaging!
Malefic transits and planet placements through the 5th and 7th, as well as relations to the 6th or 12th houses, can easily and more readily indicate sexual trauma, displeasure, etc.
@@mathildedlihtam382yes but also I noticed many times I have seen charts of people who work in the adult film industry, there is strong emphasis on 8th house due to themes of debt and secrets. Hence I see the correlation with hookups that aren’t primarily done for pleasure. One thing that I have noticed is how active my hookup life has been for the past 3 years only during the 8th house transits while creativity and kids and fun were high lighted during 5th house transits
I have Sun and Mars in the 12th in Cancer. I literally was secluded in a mental health ward more times then I can count and was in jail briefly. Somehow I survived and I am dealing with it better then most. It was activated during soon after the Neptune/Uranus conjunction in Capricorn.
I'm currently taking notes and laughing about the 7th House. Libra rules my 7th House and I have 5 planets here: Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Moon, Pluto. (then throw my Scorpio Venus in the mix, which rules this house) So a bit confused trying to navigate this house for me! I'm 41 and not yet married, so love the fine wine concept of Saturn and it being worth the wait!
Thanks so much for all this info! Surprised to not hear much discussion on karma and past life karmic residue in the 12th house, I've heard quite a few astrologers speak on this topic. I consider 12th house to be related into multidimensional living/effects from other realms. I can see why that could also be understood as 'bad spirit'..but if it can be viewed as a gift, someone can turn into a powerful medium/intuitive/artist/healer/etc taking that multidimensional pain and turning it into something beautiful. Furthermore if someone's Sun is in the 12th house too there's some light in the darkness, right? I appreciated the perspective on solitude in 12th house too. Since sunrise is a time of day related to 12th house, I find if I spend that time of day in solitude I am set up and ready to be the best version of myself for the rest of the day when I am encountering other people. & I would guess that maybe the reason why larger animals are in 12th house is because they could be considered as more multi-dimensional than smaller creatures? Not to say that I don't believe smaller animals are multidimensional beings as well, but maybe throughout history they considered larger animals to have larger meaning in that way. Again - thanks for this series!!
I strongly agree and have done a lot of research on the 12th house & differing interpretations and descriptions. I have my sun mercury and Venus in the 12th so I have always been intrigued by it & its ambiguity at times. This is the first time I have heard it described as "bad spirit" , it did always remind me of the space in between life and death, therefore a bit paranormal & misunderstood--however, many other interpretations mentioned the intense creativity, hidden talents, and life transformative aspects of this house that were a bit more positive and resonated strongly with me. I think, as with anything, darkness and pain are absolutely necessary in order to appreciate the lighter times in life & more importantly they're vital in growth and expansion -- this is why I often hear astrologers describe placements in the 12th house as being very positive later in life, making someone much more advanced in certain areas that planet pertains to. Not sure why I've responded such a long comment but I am very passionate about the 12th house so I thought i'd chime in!
After years of self caused (my own worst enemy) suffering, I cleansed emotional burdens (shadow work) and now I am free. Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in the 12th. Funnily my lifepath number is 19/1 (karmic dept number) and NN in leo in the 11th. I need and yearn solitude, but Im never alone. Peace, love, gratitude and happines to all 💖🧡💛💚💙🖤
I hate when people just keep saying the 12th House is self undoing, enemies, suffering, sickness etc. Are these all associated with the sign pisces? I need to hear someone to look at the 12th House from another perspective. I have stellium (sun, Mercury, Mars and venus) in 12th House Leo. I don't like to be alone, I have a healthy ego, I was an athlete and received academic scholarships in college and athletic scholarship for masters, I can communicate with many people and empathise with them... I really hate to hear all this badness about the 12th House!!! Tell me something interesting and new!!!
I feel exactly the same way about the 6th house. I have a stellium there too. Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus. The interpretation is so negative, and boring. I don't relate to it at all...
a lot of those things seem very related to sports though and being an athlete. Like in a team sport you have to undo yourself to see where you fit into the team and can contribute best, you form enemies in your competition you want to defeat them and win, you suffer a lot in the body because you push it to the limits when you train.
@@BonerJams95 see this all falls into the definition of Mars and aries. Sorry but This explanation of sports seems too stretched out, your body doesn't suffer pain during training and your opponent is not your enemy, it is a game that people like to play, they train their bodies and work out. And where's the self undoing in that? If you un do yourself in sports you kiss the bench lol
@@eilyl did you do all that stuff for you or did you do it for someone else? Like to make your parents proud or to make you proud? I feel like the 12th house can deal with areas in your life you are not able to do the things for you. This house can do anything, but not for the self, for others.
Saturn is not only in my 12 House, it's the ruler of Capricorn in the 8th (my sun sign) and in opposition to Jupiter in the 6th. I've struggled with alcohol, depression, fibromyalgia, infant loss during pregnancy (20 weeks and 24 weeks), and last year I was diagnosed with autism. But since my Chiron return I've been healing on all levels and I finally feel like I'm getting traction in life. Wow...
My sun moon and mercury are all in the 12th house of Virgo ♍️ not entirely sure what that means but my job is helping people get through trauma/death/loss/theft etc... I love a bit of alone time! I have no planets in 10th house ruled by cancer ♋️ I also love horse riding 😂
Sounds like the work you are doing is mitigating a lot of the trauma you would have experienced; thus you are using that placement wisely and experiencing the energy through others. Nice!
To piggy back on what Lisa said, it sounds like youre very nurturing! The way you show up in the world and how people see you is as a compassionate being that helps others transcend emotions. Very 10h cancer!
Thank you. I didn't know how politely say how annoying she was for these two episodes. To the point I wished she was not there at all. Hard to bear. What a pity, I wished I heard more of Austin's take, without her interrupting with her babbling.
I felt like they kind of glossed over the 12th House and moved onto other things. I don't think most astrologers understand the 12th House, unless they have multiple personal placements there. And I'm not talking about 12th House profection years either. I liked the coverage of the other houses, but the depiction of the 12th House one as "scary" and "all bad" was disappointing and lacked depth. Many people have multiple placements in these houses, and negative stuff like this just scares people. It may be "rougher territory" but some experiences sharpen us into diamonds.
I totally agree. I have a 6th house stellium and it disappointed me to hear such negative things about it because I actually see 6th house as the house of healing and self help through alternative methods of healing such as herbalism. I also have South node in the 12th which makes me understand 12th house also as healing but deep ancestral healing or something spiritual related to the soul and even mental health whereas 6th house is more physical healing. Thanks for this comment, I feel strongly cadent houses are not bad since my time is never wasted and always fulfilled doing meaningful things.
@@desireealviola2804 Thank you, as well. I'm just afraid what people who are beginners to astrology will think if they listen strictly to what they've said on this video regarding the 6H and 12 Houses. I have four planets (Sun, Venus, Mercury, Mars) and my True South Node in the 12th House. I also have my True North Node and Jupiter in the 6H as well. I'm not going to say my life has been easy, but I've also learned a lot through my journey, and I wouldn't trade that. Sometimes, going through "hard experience" helps us become people who can help others.
@@kristiemao4275 wow it’s interesting that you have both 6th and 12th house placements. I also think your Jupiter in the 6th house brightens things up a bit for you. I wanted to note that I also know other close friends with lots of 12th house placements and at least two people with 12th stelliums and they’re some of the coolest, out of this world, creative, spiritual, interesting people I know. And even successful! Which makes it hard to believe that 6th/12th axis are purely about wasting energy on lost causes. For me depending on which area or house it shows up in life, it leads to healing of the self and in the future the possibility of healing others which is quite powerful and of course hidden from the 1st house and angular houses in general since healing is such a private matter. For this, I think the healing aspect should be highlighted more within the 6th/12th axis. How do you feel having 6th and 12th houses been for you? What patterns have showed up that were not discussed in the videos? (Hope you don’t mind me asking)
@@desireealviola2804 My Jupiter is actually in Capricorn (Retrograde) in my chart, and also Venus Retrograde. I've had to do a lot of work regarding spirituality and overcoming inner turmoil. People also seem to be more comfortable talking to me about spiritual matters (whether it be about ghosts, psychic ability, etc;). I also tend to have a heightened sense of intuition regarding dreams and other forms of communication, especially with Mercury being in the 12th House. My 12th House ruler (Gemini) is in the 12th House and square my MC exact and square Chiron (also conjunct my MC). I kind of joke I have an extra credit chart sometimes. I have Sun (Gemini) and Moon in Virgo, also Cancer Asc. I'm highly creative and a writer, and I'm find with that :). When I first started my astrology journey, stuff like this would have upset me...but the more I learn about my chart, the better I've been at accepting my placements and working with them, instead of against them.
Omg Austin!! I have sun and mars in the 9H as well, in cancer, and so my 10H ruler is in the 9H!! I am years deep into my astrological and spiritual studies and journey. Wow!! I haven't yet heard the interpretation that astrologers often have 9H/10H connections but I love it! So true!!
I love the info! 🙏🏼❤️ However the way Kelly isn’t letting the others finish what they say without saying “yes” “mmm” “exactly” and adding things is super annoying. Why not let each person speak? That is basics, especially for podcasts.
Saturn Rules my 10th House (Capricorn) My South Node is also in Capricorn cinjunct my MC. I work in government in an administrative rule. I take on a lot of responsibility. My colleagues call me their manager, even though I'm not 😂 I have to wear a company uniform I enforce rules and regulations. I meet powerful and important people each day. It is not work that I love, but it is stable and traditional and pays the bills. I also have a 7th House Sun Saturn conjunction in Libra (part of a Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Moon, Pluto stellium) I plan to start my own Creative Wellbeing business (focusing on balance and harmony) and have 1 to 1 clients. Here is an interesting fact. In 1996 when venus was retrograde in Gemini I had a miscarriage and this year during Venus retrograde in gemini I had another miscarriage.

it is a invisible feeling we’re fighting , it’s a spiritual battle from the moment I open my eyes, music has been the escape, a big intuition about many perspectives, memories that have been lost everyone in the world since the beginning, I don’t live in these times , my soul accepts all the timelines that have passed which it frustrates me because it’s a “confusing” battle between the physical and spiritual , I wish words could transmit and describe what we feel but it’s only a deep feeling only I know , I have recognized my light ☀️ and I’m willing to serve others to bring peace and harmony to this world!!!
Who knew pet astrology could be so on point.
what an awesome & profound connection 💚
@@KindredSpirit1010 I love that! I have two Aries doggies and Aries rules my 4th and 5th, they are absolutely my first children. I also have a bunny who came before the dogs who is a Taurus and sits in my 6th house. One of my dogs has directly opposite sun and moon placements from me. Another has opposite sun and moon conjunction my sun. 🥲 So many sweet memories with my fur babies building a home and family together and keeping a solid routine that feels fulfilling.
I just realized rewatching this years later… the 9th, it’s not hidden it’s “unseen” like god. The faith in the things we can’t see, but can feel.

I need to jormal this
Austin nailed it for me when he explained about not being “seen” with the ruler of the 1st in the 8th.
Does losing ones mind count, cuz I sure feel that way sometimes? Gemini rules my 12th house. 🥺
You can can also have loss who you were “The Ego” and become spiritual.💕
Losing my anger drive motivation defense my warrior Mars in 12th house
My stellium in the 12th was dying cringing listening to this. I love you guys!! It was a whole lot rougher when I was younger. Now I love my "suffering" ;) There was a lot of it younger but it all helped me become who I was meant to be.
Same here with my 6th house Stellium I’m still trying to figure it out because the only health problem I have is with my teeth so far, maybe now after my Saturn return I’ll be dealing with more 😅
Yikes!! 12h is hard! I have my North Node in the 12 house and I feel like it's a culmination of all the houses into one 😩
Sun, Saturn conjuct Leo in the 12th, opposing Moon in the 6th I can relate to the cringing part lol
Same big time, I have sun mars and venus in the 12th 😬 maybe I'll be a good psychologist at least
Same. Same. Most of my personal planets are in a 12 house scorpio stellium.

I’ve always thought of animals in the 6th and 12th being magical. 6th House small animals are “familiars.” And 12thHouse large animals are temple sacrifices and then metaphorically a scapegoat.
Also spirit animals

interesting
@@LoriTianSailiata I like the idea of spirit animals being in the 12th, since they are hidden from the native unless explicitly brought forth from the unconscious. The spirit animals would be in between worlds which they are, just like the 12th
This may not be traditional but I’ve found that the death signified by the 8th house extends to metaphorical death as well. For example, I’ve found that the 8th house often gets activated during a break up (death of a relationship).

OMG. The distinction between the 8th and 9th houses around the 58:00 mark is SO helpful!

Sun, Mercury, Venus, Rahu, Chiron 12th house Libra.
Thank you for the recommendation 🙂
in Vedic astrlogy, the 8th and 12th (two of the Moksha/water houses)has association with sex and bed pleasure from the ancient time.
Bests 💖🧡💛💚💙💜🖤

ashantithevocalist uh ok.... in which house falls your Leo?
Hi, I also have a lot of planets in the 9th including Saturn and I love college but i find it so hard and difficult, did you experienced this too?
Austin has some profound statements and luckily can hold on despite the interruptions. Thank you.
Yall.. been waiting on this. Very grateful for yall.
Agreed - it was a bit excessive and frustrating at times. Again, super grateful for her input, but definitely something that could be improved on
Probably the most irritating guest on the podcast, ever.

@@HamletsMill25920 well, I wouldn’t go as far to say all of that. Kinda harsh. I think she’s a good astrologer just maybe agreed away from the mic & not finished others sentences. I do see where you’re coming from though.
What a bunch of lovely people you are! So wise, intelligent, wholesome and inspiring. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us all.
Thank you for all the work you do.
Thank you!
I have 12H Saturn and my 4H ruler is retrograde and in detriment--solidarity ✨
As someone that has 6 house planets with a 12 house moon this is kinda depressing lol.
Hah
My bf has sun and mars in 12th house cancer. He also has alcohol issues and becomes like jekyll and hyde when he drinks.
01:58:28 Intriguing story about James Holden and the 10th house 💜
& REALLY the 12th as one's inherent vulnerability...
@@raevti have my sun, moon, mercury, and mars in the 12th house. i’ve been diagnosed with depression and in high school i used to self harm. i would never mess with hard drugs though. that said, i did smoke cigarettes for a couple years in my twenties because i “didn’t care if i lived or died”, and i smoked weed sometimes for the emotional/spiritual experience, even though it generally always left me feeling intensely paranoid and uncomfortable at the end. i think that continued for about 5 or 6 years, but i don’t do either of those things now. i used to fantasize about what it would be like to do hard drugs and let my life be completely taken over because i don’t feel like i have the strength to deal with my emotions sometimes, but i can’t see myself actually doing those things. despite my ideation i’m acutely afraid to let go of my control. i don’t want to be dependent on anything. drugs would offer a temporary reprieve but only with the sacrifice of something else i find significantly more important: my selfhood. the shame i would take on would pretty much negate any positive effects hard drugs would have.
thank you! This 2 part series has helped me cement the foundational knowledge of the houses
Amazing how much I have learned in a short amount of time. So thankful for a FB page that showed me you guys 💜
Thank you for this! I have the Pisces ♓️ in : Rising, Sun, Venus and Mercury with a Scorpio moon and there's never been a dull moment!
Maybe I missed it but it would be cool if you could talk about the Point of Fortune, the Vertex, the True Node and so on in another video.
i’m a heavy 2/8 and 9th house person. GREAT CONTENT i learned so much more as an astrologer ⭐️
Oh, Baby! This video is EVERYTHING!! Thank you... Keep them coming!!
Yeah. Mars rules both my 2nd and 7th, and my natal Mars is in the 6th (with the ruler of the 6th/Jupiter and 10th/moon)
Next summer is that looooooong transit/retrograde of Mars in Aries/my 7th.
My roommate of ten years has a kidney issue that he inherited from his father (who passed away in his 60s from it) he has this appreance that gives the illusion he is younger than he actually is, and fit enough to be a athete (he's asked all the time if he plays basketball or fights) but he is actually quite tired all the time, and has been to the hospital 3 times for rhabdomyolysis (a manifesting condition of his kidney issues, but not the root of it)
There's is always a concern that the next time he gets rhabdomyolysis or another even worse condition, he will not survive.
Again, thank you for the beautiful contributions you all make to the Astrology community.
i love the way austin just stares right at the camera until he speaks his first words.
very endearing :)
I've spent a lifetime being told that the planets in the 12 house indicates the next life one is likely to endure. It is believed that people who have ketu in the 12th house will not have next life and it is considered the indication of moksha.
Wrong unfortunately
side note i just love your interaction how you're friends seems like a fun pack!
I agree with this wholeheartedly
These video's are fantastic! Thank you for sharing
@@nicolinamaio hmm. Do you have any input about Lillith in relation to the 12th house (Libra 12th, north node)?
After years of self caused (my own worst enemy) suffering, I cleansed emotional burdens (shadow work) and now I am free. Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in the 12th. Funnily my lifepath number is 19/1 (karmic dept number) and NN in leo in the 11th. I need and yearn solitude, but Im never alone. Peace, love, gratitude and happines to all 💖🧡💛💚💙🖤
I listen to this over and over. Thankyou
Wow...
Been waiting for this Chris !!! 💫🌟💫🌟
Im a new addict of this channel. Excellent information.
2:39:49 so do i, it's true, you're not always end up in prision, you can isolate on an ashram where you have peace in mind and spirit

Thank you. I didn't know how politely say how annoying she was for these two episodes. To the point I wished she was not there at all. Hard to bear. What a pity, I wished I heard more of Austin's take, without her interrupting with her babbling.
So so helpful. I'll probably listen to both a second time to get it embedded. I so appreciate you guys!
So true!!
12th house: the moon rules my 4th and is in my 12th - i immigrated to switzerland and don't really plan to return to england to live, ever...
It's reeeealy helpful for me those videos, I keep watching again and again, thank you guys!
I love the info! 🙏🏼❤️
However the way Kelly isn’t letting the others finish what they say without saying “yes” “mmm” “exactly” and adding things is super annoying.
Why not let each person speak? That is basics, especially for podcasts.
Honestly about to explode listening to that lol it’s killing me
