This tutorial absolutely progressed my art so much, I would normally use medibang but the brushes are dogwater, and watching this genuinely made something click in my head and gave me that little push I needed to "upgrade" my art.
Finally a video explaining properly how to do this! Even things like ‘multiply’. I’ve seen so many videos saying select ‘multiply’ but never explain why and what it does! Now I know!
This video is so freakin' helpful! I went back and took notes, for real. Thanks for showing me things I've been trying to figure out for 2 decades! Can't wait for Part II :)
I'll say to the point of using select layer rather than layer mask, if you ever unclip your layer mask all of your drawing outside the lines will still be there making it harder to keep things clean if you need to move layers around!
I’m very interested in taking your classes but I’m having trouble using the link in the description. It keeps sending me to “Kartra” with an error message. Maybe DM me with the link? Thanks.
Wow!! this is my first time here watching any of your videos and let me tell you I am glad I did, I learned a lot from it, I will be using the tools you showed here and I cannot wait for part two. I do have a question for you... what size canvas do you use in procreate that allows you to have so many layers?...
Hi, your video helps me a lot. Would it be possible to you to do a tutorial with how to color folds ? I’m not bad as knowing where they actually go on like clothes, but when I start to add Colors, the characters seem to wear prison uniform ! And there’s no good video upon that with Procreate. Thanks
Out of curiosity is there a reason why you select chunks to make the shape layer? I would naturally select the outside space in one go and inverse so wondering if that is not appropriate? I cant think why it wouldn't be if under the line layer? Great video btw and thank you!
It was mentioned- he did chunks so the work wouldn’t mess up (sometimes procreate likes to alive itself to auto-select or ‘finish’ the selection on its own), so if it messes up you don’t have to re-select /everything/
I don't understand the purpose of the greyscale layer? Could you not just go straight in with colour, then you can still use the multiply layer for shadows?
Yea you can go straight in with colours. Greyscale to colour is just one method, its mostly used when people struggle with getting their values correct, its easier to control values in greyscale than it is in colour.
Can someone pls tell me how to export a procreate drawing to Instagram without losing quality? And how do I stop Instagram from changing the colors of my drawing? 😢 Pls someone help
.PNG is lossless, use that file type when saving. Changing colors? It shouldn’t be doing that. Check the kind of colors you’re using by selecting “Canvas Information” under the wrench menu (I think) and then tap through the left hand menu until you find the color system you’re using (CYK vs RGB, for example)

Dude thank you so much. I cannot wait for part 2

Wow. This is absolutely brilliant as far as the instruction, delivery method and outcome are concerned.❤
This is the one area I have been struggling with as a new artist. This video is exactly what I needed thanks bro 🤟
When is part 2 coming out?
Great Vid! Can’t wait for part 2!
Part 2! Part2! Part2!
Super cool to see how you processed the somewhat "basic" standard texture brushes with liquify! I'm definitively going to try that myself!
You could also use color fill when filling in the base. It’s much more faster and convenient!! 💟
Spectacular

Layer count is tied to the device RAM.
@Square Breaker how many layers would I be able to have with the pro 2022, 256 gb?

You did a lot I wish I could but I just couldn't stay with it. Too complicated for me. My fault. good video.
hi can you make tiger draw and paint tutorial?

For me its because i struggle with values and greyscale is the easiest for me to see it with

The link to your painting school isn't working. Even just typing into google doesn't work.
What line art do you use in this video and for details?
Love your video, drawing came out great, but as someone with auditory processing issues, it was insanely difficult to understand you over the music.
hey! i know that turkey!
