Admittedly, the scene where the Boss refuses to let Shaundi come along to fight Sunshine makes total sense if you alternate and complete the Carlos and Aisha missions before that one.

Entua no it isn’t lol. Dude is talking out of his ass. The Gang missions are not interconnected and have no affect on one another and are simply cannons. Only when you complete them all and fight ultor is when they connect. The boss simply didn’t take her because he know how dangerous mr sunshine was... at that point Carlos could still be alive.

"Does it look like I'm joking?" I had a weird glitch when he said that line where the helmet was floating to his left rather than on his head. It punctuated the scene so much more beautifully.

@@jaredhaden1989 for me the same thing happened. I was playing on PC with gentlemen of the row mod to fix crashes. Sometimes separate objects would be off center. I think it just happens or something.
Only happens on the busted PC port. The PS3 and Xbox 360 version run fine.

God damn right it was. I always thought the first one was far too serious and not entertaining enough, while the third one was just far too silly without enough seriousness in it. The second seems like it has the perfect balance -- it's got its silliness and plenty of entertainment but with a damn good story in it.

I find it adorable that the chemist and the pilot are so vastly different that I find their relationship adorable.
Their relationship is so cute. At first glance, its a wonder how the chemist is in jail and not the husband. She's got the PTA mom vibe who makes cookies (she probably does) and seems nice in person. But she also a down ass b*tch, ready to partake in some illegal activities with a smile on her face. Her husband who comes off as the edgy, gangster type, which he might be look at his wife's occupation. Dude has a pilot's license so he has no problem taking the legal route in things. They both might have meet while Tobias was moving some of her drugs. A love story tale's old as time.

What I liked more about SR2 is how some of the side characters used in main missions were people that gave you side missions in SR1 (Eg Mr Wong, the friendly lady, etc.)

I enjoyed her personality much more in the second game compared to the third. I didn't even play 4, so I don't how she acted in that game. But overall, it's not just Shaundi that's the central problem. It's basically the direction the game was starting to go in. It went from Gangs to ?. Well I don't know what the hell SR 3 turned into but I hated it quite a bit and didn't even finish the game.

I fucking love Shaundi from Saints Row 2. She’s so funny, cool, chill, and does what she thinks is fun and i love that about her. She’s the kind of girl I’d end up with in the future, pretty much the opposite of me (with the drugs and stuff) but I feel like we’d get along so much on everything else especially how cool and fun she is... “that doesn’t sound half bad”

The brutality the boss expresses in this game is something I wish was still present in modern games. Nowadays, its all HEAVILY watered down, "family friendly" violence, as I call it. Scared to get brutal, gorey, etc. Brutality is pretty much non existant in 90% of games of today. Even then it doesnt feel as genuine and purposeful as it is in SR2. Where the boss was brutal out of both anger and necessity (to topple his enemies). Surface level this game is senseless violence, but theres rhyme and reason to the violence. And it makes for a badass gaming experience you cant get today.
say what you want about SR4 but Pierce's Audio Log about the Boss being more hardcore back in the day has never rang more true that in this scene, cutting off Mr. Sunshine's head and all....

Atlas Yeah the way he said it was harsh but it was true Shaundi was good at getting useful information about the other gangs for the Saints. But getting caught a couple of times she becomes more trouble to them when he's sayin this it was a wakeup call for Shaundi. To do better she wanted her boss approval it seems like she has become a better member of the saints as far as attitude is considered.
just pay attention. SR 3+4 Shaundi is the result of self loathing and the "death" of Johnny. she respected the hell out of the Boss and Johnny and she realized she needed to get more serious to earn their respect and be taken serious as a Saint Luitanant so she did, and we all know how Johnny's death fucked her up since she blames herself for it. unlike Pierce who turns into the team clown she actually became quite a respectable member of the crew.
Love how the boss is baked out of his mind in the limo but still managed to pull all that off. Great scene. I also really like how in SR2 we got a good amount of time with the bad guys, as opposed to cutscenes being focused purely on the boss and gang.
Saints Row 2 is easily one of my favorite games of all time. It took everything from 1 and made it better in my opinion. 3 & 4 were still good games to me but they were just way to fucking weird and more comedic than the seriousness of 1 & 2. Granted 3 & 4 had Kinzie, giggity, but 2 is hands down my favorite of the series and one of my all time favorites period.

Boss is a lot more aggressive in SR2 than he is in the sequels. It's most likely cause he got blown up just as when he reached his height in SR1 and betrayed as well which really pissed him off.

Funny how the first time we meet the main villains, Veteran Child looks like he was about to throw down with Sunshine for a brief second, but then he gets treated like a bitch later in the game by him
