    I work for a college in the IT department, with only a High School Deploma started off as a Help Desk Technician in 2012, moved up to a Senior Help Desk Technician in 2021. Being that in my organization there's only one Senior Help Desk Technician position so it was a waiting game to advance my career. Now here is the truth you really do not need to have any certifications or a college degree. But being that the college will pay for my tuition you might as well take advantage of it while you can. Experience is key and always wanting to learn more as technology evolves you will succeed in your career.

      Ticketing system is a platform where users can submit “tickets “ being help desk issues .

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 Год назад +1

      To add to 202's answer, when someone has a tech problem, the ideal thing is for them to put in a ticket. In the ticket, they put in a description of the problem and what they have already tried. That way, you as a technician know who needs tech help and what they need help with. Otherwise if you get calls and emails and people coming up to you saying they need help, it gets very difficult to organize your work. With a ticket system, you have a list of stuff you need to work on based on priority.

      From my research so far if you’re asking about tec jobs look into Information Science, compliance analyst. Outside of Tec., Nursing( yes, from what I see, men are living dreams as nurses now.), plus look at it/nursing combo-work from home, good money and no patients.
