STAND BY!!! FIRE!!!!
Send it boys
That was more like one word on my gun. “Standbyfire!!!” Oh shit, did someone just call a check fire? ‘To the rear of the piece, fall in’ from gunny is like the worst possible thing I ever heard over the hook 😂😂😂
Ah the heavy hitters. This is music to me. Showing me that I got support.
I hear them a lot near Camp Lejeune
Lmao memories, the btry, the deployment, slinging those rounds; Gun 3 where it's at💪💥
It is interesting how the powder charges were put in the weapon compared to the M109A2 SP howitzer "back in the day".
0844 3/11 29 Palms 🌴 favorite 3 words- Fire For Effect. Semper Fi!!
No matter how good can't hack a 100 lb round, pretty hard to shoot it down I'm guessing, and you can dominate the battle field with just 1 firing battery, 3rd battalion I think had 3. Awesome on a CAX seeing all the components come together.
I worked on 198‘s, good times but the m777 looks like everything the 198 should have been.
*** except 15,780 pounds. That part they left out and it seems like they actually have a full crew vs 6 plus the driver like we ran. God, my back hurts from that bitch 198! Gun 4, Angel of Death, Alpha 1/11 1st platoon. You yell, we shell!!!
Glad I had the opportunity to work with artillery, Corps is cutting em down!
Madame Liberty! :)
3/11 Mike
damn, imagine that flying over your head XD
Why do the marines use powder instead of the brass shells like the army?
That’s a 155mm not a 105. 155s use the shell, followed by the powder charge, and then ignited by a primer. The red on the bottom of the powder charge is called out as ‘I see red’ or ‘I see the monkeys ass’ to ensure the powder bags are loaded correctly. All fire commands are repeated as a failsafe to reduce guns firing ‘out of the box’ and to ensure safety. Hope that explains it to you. Former 0811 here from this same marine regiment.
Hate to be on the one catching those rounds

Why Their Not Carrying Gun ? 🇺🇸💪🏻🤘🏻⚓
why a nation need a marine corps?..its just a combination units of an infantry..cav..artillery...airforce.....waste of money....
because the nation wants it to exist...
Because we can deploy quicker being a "light" force but still pack a deadly punch. Also Marines as a whole force trains for special operations. Embassy evacs, rescuing down pilot's, and quick strike raids, humanitarian assistance in less than 24 hours. We do a lot of shit the conventional army cant do because there to "heavy".
Marines conquer and the other armed forces hold down the captured areas
It's not a waste of money even if you want in the Air Force or the Navy they need certain types of people for certain jobs and furthermore not everyone can become a Marine the failure rate is about 1 out of 3 so think before you talk
Because one BLT can land and fight fully self supported for thirty days within hours notice. Lighter, stronger, faster. Check out the Mission of the United States Marine Corps and it’s all right there…
