Great song, still love the older Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs. Big Girls Don't Cry, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, etc! That's an unbelievably deep rabbit hole to dive into!!!
Frank is NINETY years old and still on tour. In the two videos from 1975 you see the whole band singing and Frank using a headphone - he had an ear condition that needed serious operations to fix- and after he recovered he still went on for decades. He and his band with many different members have 5 number one hits and hit the top 40 thirty eight times and he also had hits as a solo artist with Grease the musical
He lip synchs now..friends of mine went to their concert recently and he didn't sing live at all. What a ripoff..if he can't sing anymore he shouldn't be on tour.
@@leemorgan4799 Too bad. Why tour without people to take the place of the Four Seasons? He had a bit of a solo career too. Did he advertise just himself or with the Four Seasons? I agree, be honest about it.
Hits for FV and the 4 Seasons came a very long time ago. The vast majority of their hits were in the pre-Beatles era, in the early 1960's. That was 60+ years ago!
@karlheinzvonkroemann2217 he was there with the 4 seasons. I saw the advertisement. It wad at the OLG stage at the casino and the promotion was for Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons. Not just the 4 seasons.
Guys, the lead vocals on this song is the drummer Gerry Polci, my friend and classmate at Passaic High School in NJ. Yes, a real Jersey boy. This song is the Four Seasons biggest hit without Frankie Valli singing lead. The late Judy Parker wrote this song. Gerry Polci sings on a lot of their hits from the 70's.
Pure pop magic. Four Seasons were such a great band. Top-notch musicians and incredible vocals. Huge catalog to check out. Personally, I have a soft spot for Frankie's solo hits... My Eyes Adored You, Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You
I love Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, I grew up listening to their music. "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" was the very first song of theirs I heard when I was in grade school. They were huge in the 70's.
Great catchy song about losing your virginity that is clean!lol I also noticed for the first time how the singing was shared with 3 band members which made this an even better song! Great reaction.
This is explained in the stage play “Jersey Boys” this is explained. They were touring when they were first starting out as a group. The record label actually sent girls to their rooms. And this was Bob Gaudio’s first time.
Can’t Take my eyes off of you- Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Love to see you react to this classic that was huge in the late 60s. Thanks for this great reaction!
Love this song! Remember singing this song in grade school, and of course I didn’t really know what it was actually about…great group, with so many great songs.
As a little girl when this song came out to this day. I have never understood why I get so emotional when Frankie sings his part!! I just wail up in tears, I just love this song!!
Bro is still alive and thriving!! And he still can sing! Witnessed his PBS Special during their fund drive just a couple years ago and still sounds the same!
Still sing?????? Are you kidding me. Have you even watched any of the videos that are on RUclips of him during his current tour.....it's a played track while he stands there. He doesn't even try to lip sync, he just stands there like a cadaver, it's awful!!!!!
Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons has many classic songs that are still bangers when Classic Oldie Radio plays them! Like "Walk Like a Man"; and "Sherry" and others which still sound current!! BTW, All you guys are the BEST when you discuss the songs!! Love to listen to your opinions!!
Happy y'all chose to react to this fabulous group. Next could you please react to 4 Seasons Sherry , Walk like a Man , who loves you. They have a huge catalog and tons of hits
I don’t know if you’ve already reacted to Chris Isaaks Wicked Game but I know you guys would love it, it’s beautiful different and mesmerizing, one of my all time favorite songs and video and I’m 65 and I play guitar and know a lot of music, love you guys ❤
This song and the album it came from was credited to The Four Seasons, not Frankie Vali and The Four Seasons. Vali had his solo career going at the time recording for Private Stock Records. The group's record company, Warner Brothers Records wanted to showcase the vocals of the other members to differentiate Vali's solo work and the group's recordings.
This has been one of my absolute favourite sings since I first heard it in the 80s. Great to see you react to it. We can never hear our favourite songs for the first time again, but we can get close by watching others listen for the first time. Thanks.
FRANKIE AND BOB GAUDIO who had written most of their songs over the years including "WHO LOVES YOU "and "DEC.'63", had already made the decision for Frankie to go solo and that the 4Seasons (the other 4 musicians) would continue on their own as a group without Frankie---so the plan was to begin using the others more as lead singers and that was done in this album and even more so in the next one-HELICON--unfortunately that album was not well received and the plan never really got off the ground
I really think you all would love this song and video. He sings lead the whole song. It's one of my favorites of his. The song was released May 1975 *Frankie Valli - Swearin' To God (Live) on the Midnight Special* ruclips.net/video/FtlL2yFVWeA/видео.html
It is a great song. Here is another song of the same title recorded a few years earlier. I'm sure you'll enjoy this one is by The Dells and it's doo-wop with all those great harmonies and that sax: ruclips.net/video/eD7RiUTWUj4/видео.html
They do. All the time. You call it cherry picking, others call it paying homage. The artist they are sampling have to clear it. Some do some don't. Every genre sample, remix, cover, and use interpolation. Hip hop isn't a talentless contributor to music. It's one of the most influential genres to date.
Who loves you by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is probably my favorite by them.
I'm 57 yrs old and I always remember hearing this song❤❤
Great song, still love the older Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs. Big Girls Don't Cry, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, etc! That's an unbelievably deep rabbit hole to dive into!!!

This was more of a comeback hit than any of their numerous hits from their prime.

Frankie still has an amazing voice at 90..❤🔥
nope
I am going to see Frankie Valli in February.. 93 years old.. Don't judge me lol taking my older sister..
I’ve heard every song by Frankie Valli, the first hit was “ Sherry Baby! “ he really hits the high notes.👍🔥🔥🧡🧡🧡

Nice reaction, drummer is Bob Gaudio, He would write almost all of Frankie's catalog.
Gerry Polci was the drummer on this one. He is also Frankie’s SIL!

December of '63 is when they took America by storm with big girls don't cry and about four or five other hits. By the way Frankie turned 90 this year.

This is my jam! I play this all the time! I was born in 1976, but I LOVE older music! This is timeless! ❤❤❤
This song always had a special place in my heart since I was born in September of 1964. lol
Can’t Take my eyes off of you- Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Love to see you react to this classic that was huge in the late 60s. Thanks for this great reaction!
This has to be one of my most favorite songs of all time. Such a feel good song!
Love this song! Remember singing this song in grade school, and of course I didn’t really know what it was actually about…great group, with so many great songs.
absolutely ♥ this song!
I was 9 years old when this came out... loved it then, love it still ❤
Nice to see Olli feeling better.
Yes, thank you
Frankie Valli is still touring !!!!!!
Frankie played Rusty Millio in The Sopranos, a capo in the NYC Lupertazzi family. He got whacked, inevitably.
I love them. This brings back great memories.

That was Frankies son in law Gerry, on lead vocals and drums in this song.
My favourite song of theirs is Opus 17.

Nice!!! Old old school. Before my time but a classic.
The guy playing drums and singing is Frankie’s Son-In-Law!
I like this song too ! Great review ! Memories !😎🤟
One of my favorite songs of all time. Right up there with September by EW&F.
You guys always have great analysis. Great laughs too. Cheers!
I love your channel you guys are great look forward to your videos keep up the good work.
Thank you! Will do!
This song is so awesome! Love your reactions!
My dad got his first record from this group Rag Doll in 64 and he liked this group and I do too
Loved it!! 😍😍😍
In december 1963 I was 7 years old. 😄😄 A great song, by the way. 👍

Chris Isaak is so underrated!
@@kathiek4239 I totally agree, what a voice he’s super hot too ❤️
@@carolcoker9862 ah, yeah! Hubba Hubba. He used to have a show on Showtime or one of those “premium” channels back in the 90s, I think.
The Four Seasons was one of the very few bands that were popular before, during and after The Beatles
There was a musical called Jersey Boys that was based on the history of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Absolutely love the Lola comment!!!
Great tune, love it i do..❤
Love your reaction!
If you ain't moving your dead 😂😂😂 Great reaction and Peace out guys ✌️ ☮️ 🙏
They started out in 1962 & they were huge back then.
So cool
This is a good one! Love much of their music.
Once again!! You are cracken me up!! I never looked at it that way. I just thought it was a short evening. But I'm not a guy. 😂😂❤
Fun fact: The Soda Jerk in the paper hat is famed rock writer Gene Sculatti! Look him up, he's cool!

Wonderfulllll❤❤❤❤
Great song! Great video!!❤
This group was on fire back in the day. ❤
My favorite part is the doo doo doo doo doo. Music doesn’t have enough of that anymore.
We had our own dance moves for this song back in the day.
Now they are finally coming to see Otis!
We see what you did there! Very true nowadays!
This has been one of my absolute favourite sings since I first heard it in the 80s. Great to see you react to it. We can never hear our favourite songs for the first time again, but we can get close by watching others listen for the first time. Thanks.
Check out falsetto Frankie with their first big hit : SHERRY
The actor Joe Pesci was the manager of this group for awhile.
You guys have to watch the movie, Jersey Boys!
Jersey Boys is a great musical about them. They’re legends
Such good music. Thanks guys for reacting to this.
The next song should be Silver Star full version. Its another banger!
It was originally called December 1933, it was celebrating the end of prohibition. But they rewrote new lyrics and changed the year.
You guys crack me up.
Frankie Valli - Greece - My Eyes Adore You
Love this!!!! Great job guys!
They’re movie 🎥 “ Jersey Boys” was great!!! You will see how much of a ladies man Franky was!!! Bad boys, even missing with the mob!!! ❤😂
The musical Jersey Boys is about Frankie Vali & the 4 Seasons in the early days.
This was released the year before ROCKEY WAS RELEASED ROCKY SURE LOOKS A LOT LIKE FRANKIE ROCKY WAS AL SO FLMED IN 75 AND RELAESED IN 1976
Thank you Joe Pesci
I was 2 years old....
You must listen to "Whose Gona Love You" from the same era.
I bet you guys would recognize the Frankie Valli song “Beggin”
Listen to “Beggin”. You’ll recognize it. They did the original. And they did it best.
street music is the best. This style is from the street corners in Philadelphia
The Four Seasons had always sang with Franki as the lead singer. But without the other members singing there would be no Four Seasons
❤️🔥
Scarface was also a singer 😆
dang right🔥😁🤘🏼♥️
Bob Gaudio wrote this song about losing his virginity in December of 1963.
💃 🎶 💃
My daughter was born Sept. 30th 1964...I know what I did....lol

There was no disco in the 60's.
Nobody common too see you Otis!!
Listen to hip hop and rock Trick Daddy Let’s Go or rock with country and Tina Turner What you get is what you see you won’t be disappointed.
Quite a musical palette!!!
They Don't make like that anymore :-(
