Lyrics:
Girl, you're looking fine tonight
And every guy has got you in his sight
What you're doing with a clown like me
Is surely one of life's little mysteries
So tonight I'll ask the stars above
"How did I ever win your love?"
What did I do?
What did I say
To turn your angel eyes my way? Видеоклипы
Listening in June 2024! Truly a banger. An all time great. Truly one of the greatest songs ever, no matter the genre!!
July 2024!
I was married 38 years & my husband used to sing this to me at night. He passed away in 2020 & I miss this.
So sorry for your loss. But what a wonderful man you had that sang this to you at night. I hope that gives you some peace and wonderful memories.
I'm sorry I lost mine after40 years ago he died2014
I'm so sorry to Toni & Donna. That's heartbreaking. I came to comment on here bcuz my husband & I had this as our wedding song & it's our 33rd anniversary. I'm so lucky to still have him. Five yrs ago he had a heart attack, they put a stent in. Then recently he has chest pain, burning, shortness of breath & he went to the hospital. They needed to put a new stent in, the old one was completely blocked & he was in the verge of another heart attack. Now he has a valve condition & will need a couple of valves replaced. I feel so bad for him. He's a great guy, an amazing husband, father, Grampa, son, brother, & friend. I am hoping to celebrate our 50th someday. 🙏💕😍💑👫💏
I use ti sing this to my wife and I lost her so much I cry every time i hear it. since 3-10-2009
I'm so sorry for your loss!
I've been with my wonderful husband 40 years we are soul mates and this is our story
My husband and I too..41years 9months and 3days. He passed away recently after a TBI and a broken neck. 💔 Here listening alone..1st time since we were both listening... 🙏 RIP PATRICK 😇 👀....4evr
Probably the most underrated guitarist ever!
And hes blind....he could definitely rock out
Was so sad to hear he was sick, he was such a great performer.
I agree with that! And the fact he was blind, and how he played his guitar, made it even better!
agreed
Awesome and very special human being that ever played a guitar the he did ! Peace be with you always my friend !
Patrick Swayze And Jeff Healey in Road House movie! May both RIP!
Just got done watching that movie like 2 minutes ago
love ❤
Both died way too young
I have been married to my sweetheart for 52 years and I love her more every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every year!!!! She was 17 and I was 20 when I married my angel. Now we are in the winter of our lives and I thank God every day she turned her angels eyes my way.
Very beautifully said i felt the same about my wife who i met when i was 20 and she also was 21 ironically this was the first song we danced to. She passed on jan 6 2021 from covid at age 53 . I will always remember her asking me to dance . I knew instantly we would be together forever. God how i wish i could have one more dance with her
Ed C ~ Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful love story with all of us. Reminds me so much of my great grandparents ~ who I was so fortunate to have grown up around them and all of my wonderful family ~ They also married young as it was done back in the day ~ They married as teens and were together forever ~ to have grown up around that kind of pure love was a true blessing for me, personally. Great grammie and grampie both lived to be in their late ninety's ~ So beautifully said "The winter of our lives" as I live in Northern Maine (Presque Isle) Been here going on 21 years now and the longest I've ever lived anywhere as I truly have a nomadic soul. When I seen you say "The winter of our lives" ~ They winters are truly long here and I just turned 61 this past March and the winters are getting rough on me and then, I stop and think of my great grandparents who lived their entire lives here ~ with a huge family surrounding them ~ they survived it and never heard them complain not one time ever about the winters ~ So, I'm going to take a page from their book and realize that every minute God grants me is a minute I will never take for granted. Thank you, once again for sharing such a beautiful story of pure love. Enjoy together ~ The winter of your lives ~ God Bless both of you today (Mothers' Day 2021) and every minute you have to cherish and love one another. ♥ +
Well put my good sir.
This just melted my heart. You both are so blessed.
That is very honorable!,
He was adorable, what he couldn't see, he could say. His heart

You're lucky. I can't seem to reach mine from USA to UK with no point of contact other than very slim Facebook posts of his I've liked. 😢😢
My wife of 15 years died this week. We will bury her tomorrow. Playing some favorite songs and this one expresses how I felt about her every day we were together. Thank you for finding the words to express my heart. Love you Annie. Miss you.
May she rest in peace. Stay strong brother
So very sorry for your loss!! Prayers for you and your family and friends!! That's the magic of music...you are transported to a "better time"...and those memories will always be a part of you!! Blessings to you and yours, Grace

Congratulations
Excellent Choice it was our wedding song also 30 years ago
Congratulations ❤❤
F*cking Awesome, congratulations!
Same, 4 years ago
Jeff was barely 20 years old when this hit the charts! Good ol days.
If you are part of the 4.4 thousand people who gave a thumbs down to this song You have no concept of good music or extraordinary talent. Artists from this era had true musical talent and their lyrics told a story that elicited real emotion. The majority of Today’s music is nothing but Auto Tuned and meaningless repetitive words.
R.I.P. Jeff Healy
Preach!
If they can't appreciate anything this honest and pure......to Hell with them....
Hear Hear! Today's stuff is pathetic. Back in the day, you actually had to know how to play an instrument (or several), know how to sing and be a good singer, be a good entertainer and put on a good show and do it for far less than these jokes of today. This is why 60s through 80s music is STILL broadcast on countless stations all over the country and will be still in another 50 years.
Chrystal Hendrix if you turned a thumbs down to this song you are a f×&"*?g idiot
Yessssss! That man was blind!!! This is my all time favorite song!!! Rip Jeff Healy
This song is too beautiful to be expressed in words. RIP Jeff Healey.. Your songs always with us..
This is a great song,Jeff.May you Rest In Peace!
I love this song reminds me of my first wife I should have held on to her but was to stupid to do so
AMEN to that sister
Born in 88 but I appreciate this man so much.... One of the greatest !!! I love his music

Great music never ages
Yeah holding a special girl to this song would be a very good feeling inside
I was lying next to my wife singing her to sleep in 1996 when she was pregnant with our first child 24 yrs ago I still sing to her today she is my soulmate
I sing this song to my lady when we have karaoke.
David Bartlett old reply. But that is so sweet!

You are a rare breed, God Bless you & your family..I appreciate your post... I t renews my faith in humanity
The one of the best blues singers ever .his songs where amazing.
Beautiful song and a great voice. Those of you that have this kind of relationship, please thank God for it. You really don't know how extremely blessed you are.
I have it now and I'm so very blessed! 💙
So those who don't have it should curse god? 😂
I'm still hopeful I can find a love like this, but the people now and days just don't want this kind of love they just want to play.

I agree; I seem to lose in love..I apparently have a, 'broken picker', every man is, to put it mildy, a jackass
This is one dude that NEVER sold his soul, just a feeling. Rest easy brother

Angel eyes is a beautiful song that came from a beautiful heart and a man with a god given voice you will never be forgotten

Yep Jeff was a good dude
Yes, yes yes, beautiful voice love this song. Been listening 2 it sense I was like 15! Me & one of my very best friend use to sing this at the bar karaoke, but he died 2 yrs ago & miss him so much. He had an incredible voice!
And it came from some skilled craftsmen, beginning with veteran tunesmith John Hiatt.
I'm 42 and I love this blind man sees more than most of us.💯💚🙌🔥Look at this masterpiece 💋
been married 42 yrs now this song still touches my heart. rip jeff
This was the song I sang to my ex, at karaoke, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, she passed from cancer 2 years ago, it's still our song.
God bless she will always be with you amen
Awesome!!
I hope the song brings you closer. My condolences.

80’s childhood,90’s coming of age,2K- now ehhh
'Road House' will always be one of my top 5 movies EVER! Patrick Swayze and Ben Gazzara will incredible in that movie but loved that Jeff and his band were in it too!
They made a kick-ass movie all the better with a phenomenal soundtrack! I guess I just found my wedding song that my girlfriend and I will dance to when she becomes my loving wife in a year and a half!
I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH Helen!!! You complete me in EVERY way a man can possibly be!
And leather and lace..😁👍👍🍻
Be wen I could not have said it myself! I'm a true 80s lady, I tell my kids lady
And music was classic and lives forever.
R.I.P. Jeff, Still listening in 2019. Artist and musicians just don’t put their heart and soul in their music like they use to!!!! Road house wouldn’t have been the same great movie it was, if it wasn’t for this band also!!!
I agree with you, the artist's today sure don't put their all in their music they produce. So much of it is digital enhance and wrote by someone else for them to get famous from the writer's work and creative mind, heart & soul.
Rachel Ennis Exactly, couldn’t have said it better myself!!!👍
Todays music sucks!
chuck mcginty I totally agree!!!
Hell yeah
What is so amazing about this song is that Jeff was ...blind.. Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it
He had cancer that took his vision and eventually his life
That's doesn't mean he didn't have talent and soul. It's not amazing. What's amazing is his talent shown thru. Even if it wasnt enduring over decades he still had a brief moment.
Sure was a good looking guy too... mmm❤
It makes me cry too!😢😢😢😢

Love it and Road House was one of best kick ass movies of the 80's, possibly of all. You just don't get them like this anymore.
yes, i loved the song and the movie.
I have only just discovered Roadhouse 2 weeks ago and I've already watched it about 10 times! I love it. My favourite Patrick Swayze film. And the soundtrack is awesome, mostly due to Jeff Healey, who I've also only just discovered! Incredible.

I’ve lost my love. I was lucky and very thankful for ever meeting Adrianna. What did I do, what did I say, to make you turn your angel eyes my way? Thank you God. I shall always treasure that gift you gave to me for a short time. I truly wish it could have been forever.
I still listen to them now in 2023. I will keep listening to them. He was very a talented man. ❤
Had a slow skate to this song with the guy who would be my Junior prom date back in 1994. Never saw him again after prom night... then less than a week of being on a dating ap post divorce he messaged me. More than 2 decades after that slow skate we're discovering how perfect we are for each other.
Aaaaaawwwwwwwweeeee
Classic......it was meant to be.
11 months later...and then?
That's awesome but kinda sad though. 20 years y'all missed out on.
I'm so happy for you both that you found each other. I wish that some thing like that would happen to me. I have been on several dating sites for 5 years and I haven't found anyone yet. Congratulations to you!!!!
Jeff Healey is proof that you don't have to see to be able to read music... It's a true gift that lies deep within the soul! This is one of the most beautiful songs, that comes from within the soul... that deeply touches one's soul. ❤ May you Rest In Peace Jeff ... your Legacy will endure forever!! ♾️ Thank you for sharing. 💖

Jeff was just pure talent he loved music n he could express himself without reading music he just spoke from his heart. I will forever treasure this song forever 🎵🎼💟🎧🎤
This once in a lifetime shooting star of a talent forever made his mark in history with quite possibly the greatest love ballad of ALL time.. I'd put "Angel Eyes"up there against anything in the past 50 years.

Hello Michelle how are you doing today???
This song takes me back to 1989! I love this song!!! Back when music was good!!!

"the name is Dalton....."
Yes, a few years back now, very sad loss. :-(
Right on
My dad would sing this when I was little. Now I sing it for my child. RIP dad. Thank you for this memory.
Watching Jeff in the original Roadhouse was enough for me. Him and Dalton (Patrick Swayze) had me as fans forever. RIP to both legends who are missed.
What is irony? A blind singer singing a song called Angel Eyes and the first line is, Girl you're looking fine tonight, regardless, Jeff Healey you are sorely missed, RIP and tell Swayze and SRV hello
True haha. But yes he is missed, and im only 13. :(
Damn, that was a pretty cool tribute to all of them!
And the album is called See the light.

There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.

I love this song your story is so sweet going on 26 years my Husband
So honored that I got to see him in a rather small venue. He played at Nassau Community College around 1990 or 1991 at the student union ballroom. I was about 5 feet away from him for the whole show. He absolutely hit the ball out of the park all night! The sound and crowd was awesome as well! Everyone in my group of friends that saw that show (even the ones who didn't know him that well) were totally blown away! We still bring it up decades later. His bends during his solos are always perfect, yet his own style shines through. His unique playing technique must a lot to with generating that personal sound. What a talent, sad that he died so young. But his gift lives on! RIP
This song is still one of my best love song since it came out back in 1988. Off course I’m still listening this song now in my room in 2023 after 35 years.
Good for you 😅
Priceless ballad, Priceless musician.
This guy was such a great musician and an inspiration to all disabled people RIP
not many know(now-a-days) he was blind. Or adopted. What a beautiful human
Amen. I've loved this song since it came out in the '80s and revisit it on RUclips from time to time. When I began to deal with vision loss due to a degenerative corneal disease 10 years ago, Jeff Healey became a true rock star. His story is tragic, but his music lives on. He is indeed an inspiration to many, including myself, who is seeing the world better with one not-so-fun corneal transplant thus far and one to go. I'll never have 20/20 uncorrected vision again (or maybe even corrected), but I'm grateful to not be where I was a few years ago. To everyone with advanced keratoconus, you can do it and it really can be worse.
@@oceansdeserts4446 Thanks for sharing your inspirational story of your vision struggles!!! What an inspiration you are for others!! Blessings as you continue on your journey!!! Praying all goes well for you. Peace and happiness, Grace

Is the woman shown in this video one of the women Jeff Healey married? The tender scenes of them together, with her reaching up to gently touch his face or his hair, break my heart--you can see the emotion in his face, but knowing that he never saw her is so sad.

@@Faltor895 did you just ask a question and then end your comment with " that's what I thought" as if you had made sone poignant statement? Adorable.
Is it possible that You're just stuck in the past? I would assume music isn't the only area in which things just aren't as good, eh? Pretty cliche isn't it? Every generation has the same opinion about those that follow.
It was a common thought that guys like Waylon, Hank Jr. and Willie Nelson weren't "traditional" Country music and ruining the bizz lol. Turns out they were just improving and expanding on the genre.
If you truly believe that this song is far and above anything put out recently then obviously you are looking in the wrong places. Perhaps look beyond RUclips?
You should listen to Sturgil Simpson's 'Metamodern Sounds in Country Music' or for that matter, anything he's put out really. His lyrical depth and pure musical talent is amazing.

Laying here in bed with the memories of this song, so much so, I had to listen again. My husband, along with his sister and friends called me in the middle of the night and sang this to me. And I crumbled. And I said yes. And we started dating. And we moved in with each other within a few months. 5 years later we married. Everyday was pure happiness. 20 years later, I became a widow. In a blink of an eye. Let the one you love know it every day. You don’t know if you’ll ever get a second chance.

We don't know how long we have on this earth. My sweet husband passed away suddenly 10 years ago. He was only 55. We always said, I
love you before going to bed. I'm so glad we did that. I make sure the people in my life know how I feel about them.
One hell of a singer. He is missed today RIP Jeff Healey and let your music live on brother.
Great song ever
Yeah watch out for those spanish woman the most beautiful woman in the world
As someone born in 94, i'm thankful my father instilled stuff like this in me, yet due to the timeframe ever since, also forever longing for the past.
This song was on repeat when I was 19 years old and finally got the chance to have the best kiss of my life. I remember like it was yesterday. And 26 years later no one has compared to that moment. This song will forever remind me of that night.
The Voice brought me here! RIP Jeff Healey.
If you don't love this there is something seriously wrong with you!
ABSOLUTELY one of the sexiest songs.
I lost my husband in 2021 this song helped me to move on in my life I will always think of him
This song never gets old
Wow, I remember they would play this song for the last chance to dance with someone at the skating ring. That was back in the 90's, and I still love it in 2018. Who else?
Joshua Sosebee I’m listening to it right now
I hear ya!! o the great skating ring !!!! those were the days
Specially all nighters on Fridays
Limbo
Me. Loved those dances and skating. I'm a 80s and 90s kid too. Born in late 70s I have a wide range of music and this is close to top of my list.
"Name's Dalton..." Fuckin classic. RIP Jeff Healey
+L.J. Garcia The remake will start production in 2016, starring Ronda "the Bleeder" Rousey in the Dalton role.
"The Bleeder" better hope that Holly Holm doesn't walk into the bar.
Haha
sorry L.J Garcia I had no idea about his passing away, and yes great musican
L.J. Garcia " thought you'd be bigger "
I'm 35 and I have never heard this before. I'm a musician of 25 yrs. This song sounds extremely familiar for some reason. It's an amazing song can't believe I haven't heard it till now
Jeff Healey was th musician in the movie Road House.. talented dude for sure
I miss him still. I was such a big fan of his and his band. He was amazing 😢❤
They need to make a biopic of this man. An absolute inspiration.
I couldn’t agree more.

already in the works and the movie is going to be released in Fall of 2024
This was my 1st dance song at my wedding. Not married to him anymore, but this song makes me remember I definitely loved him deeply once. Thankfully, we were able to get past the pain and anger and become friends again. Since we are raising children, it truly is for the best for everyone. 💗
Thanks Nicole 🎊🤙😘🤙😊
First dance at my wedding too... Married 18 years, but divorced now. I loved her so much, shame she decided to step out. We too are raising children, we communicate in the best interests of the kids, but we are not friends. Ironically her name was Nicole too.
Nicole is my daughters name!! Beautiful......I envy you. It is such a blessing to be able to get past, and CO-PARENT, my gosh....if only......she's 20 now, but still, she needs her father. She wants to have him in her life.
He was never my partner, and yet he refuses to speak to me or co-parent. I've heard her cry at night because of the pain she feels about him.
Blessings to you, Nicole, and your family!!
YOU WERE BLESS TO BE A BLESSING TO EVERYONE MY BROTHER.
GODS SPEED.
Wow. Now I really feel old. This was the theme to our prom.
Love this Song. Means so much to me and my wife.
This is a masterpiece from the 80's and will allways be on my top of my playlist. He died too young. Beautiful voice and song 2019. Man wishing I could go back to the 80's for many reasons.
Me Too!
Me three!
This and If I could just hold you again stays on repeat.
Wish I could live the rest of my life in this era.
RIP Jeff! Such a talented musician with a loving heart. This song takes my breath every time I hear it.
I remember dancing with ladies in Highschool to this song. Brings back memories of big hair and the smell of electric youth perfume!! Man the 90’s kicked ass!!!
My husband use to say this was us when it 1st came out, said it described us perfectly. He passed 20 yrs ago but I still cry from happiness & bittersweet memories every time I hear this song. Thank you so much for a song of such depth & beauty ! ♥️🙏😇💞
