For me, Aaron is hands down my favorite artist of all time. It's not JUST his voice, but it's also the way he projects his emotions in every song he sings. Amazing lyricist.
I love all of Aaron's music... it just hits different. Raw and REAL. One of his most recent brought me to tears..."Am I The Only One" - no, my brother, you are NOT the only one. So glad to see you going down this rabbit hole. His solo music is top notch.
I wasn't aware that Aaron had covered this song. It's a great song, and he does a great job. I think you would enjoy seeing the official video of the original song. The female actor does an awesome job in the video. Take care...
My first time ever hearing this guy. Great introduction. This is my favorite song from Rascal Flats, and I still love their version, but also caught off guard by the raw emotion of Aaron's version. New artist for me to investigate.
I've loved "What Hurts the Most" since Rascal Flatts released it in 2006. I honestly didn't think that a cover would ever compare to the original, but WOW! I'm beyond impressed with this cover! Thanks Sebs!
He is an incredible performer. I went to one of his solo shows, he played the first hours with his band(not the Staind guys), then came out with just a guitar by himself and played for another hour and a half. It was absolutely incredible, he's alway's been one of my favorites. He's an incredible song writer as well, most of the songs he sings are self written. You should check out the song "outside" live w/Fred durst. He literally wrote/performed the song then and there . He had the chorus but made the rest up live on stage , absolutely incredible.
So happy that not only were you were able to understand the lyrics to this song but also be lucky enough to make it to the other side with an angel that truly loves you. We all strive to accomplish that bro.
I've been to one of his concerts and it was him and 2 other guys with acoustic guitars and it was the best concert I've ever seen. The dude is hilarious and super real. My favorite moment was when he sang an older song and not many people were singing along...and I sang along loud and proud lol and he pointed to me and let me sing a couple lines from the chorus while he took a breath...the song was it's been awhile. It was pretty awesome getting acknowledged by the actual singer of the song like that and re-ignighted my desire to write music and sing.
First time I heard of this guy, but he sounds fantastic. I sometimes think hearing their voice more than the music playing over it, but the guitar is really just right. Thanks for introducing this gentleman
Jeffery Steele, mark wills, rascal flats, and so on from there. In that order. Alot of people have re made this song. Jeffery steele was the original songwriter.
The only other singer that can pull the raw emotion out of me like Aaron is Chris Stapleton. They have the ability to just reach in and grab your soul along with all of its pain, fear, hope, love and lay it all out there.
Aarons voice on this song, and a few others is almost haunting. You can hear the emotion he's putting into it, and it just ties it all together. It feels like its more than a cover, but more so Aaron making the song his own in a sense.
Rascal Flats song is the original. I like his raspy voice singing it though. Haha. I was in the middle of commenting when you read someone else's words about it being RF's song. 😂
Rascal Flatts is not the original… the original song was written by Jeffrey Steele and Steve Robson and sung by Mark Willis… Rascal Flatts covered the song and made it more famous. That being said.. Aaron’s is the best version I’ve ever heard.
This song hits me. Rascal flats released it right when I was going through a break up in my 1st serious relationship. We all know how that first big break up goes.
He's awesome! I saw him in concert back in 2014. He opened the show with the Pledge of Allegience. Check out his live studio recording of "Country Boy". You will absolutely LOVE it! And a good one for the sexy time play list is "Tangled up in You". He also has a really good cover of Chris Stapleton's "Whiskey and You".
Phone book! His voice is so awesome to me! He could sing anything! Favorite song though I would have to go back to Staind.....Something to Remind You.... Live version is insane!!!!
The point of this song is that country group Rascal Flatts did the song first. But I didn't care about it because I don't care about them, then I heard Aaron sing it and it was powerful. Aaron can do this with most songs.
I'm from Western Massachusetts. STAIND, including Aaron are from around here. For years we would go watch them at local bars till they finally hit it big.
I love all versions of this song (Rascal Flatts aren’t the original singers). Mark Wills originally recorded in 2003 with a few more before them, theirs is just the most well known. Always love your reactions. Hopefully the trip is over soon and you can get back to the family.
Such a deep dive of marriage music. Staying together so long you make that decision, and that’s what live is. A decision. And it just gets better once you choose love.
Loved his version of the song and it was a very beautiful delivery. However the original version and story video by rascal is so moving and let's you truly see what the song was about.
P.s. It was written by Jeffery Steele and Rascal Flatts' label / image consultants paid the most for the rights and told Gary "Sing what's on the sheet of paper".
Hes one of the greatest singers and lyricists ever!! His cover of this will take you away for sure. Just purely beautiful. RF didnt write the song though, but both versions are amazing.
Not sure you’ll see this but i was a combat medic in the army. You should listen to “they call me doc” by walker Mcguire and also “the father my son and the Holy Ghost” by Craig Morgan
The original by Rascal Flatts is a must hear. Aaron Lewis - Country Boy (ft. George Jones and Charlie Daniels) Aaron’s story of entering the rock industry, then leaving to go back to his country roots.
Play Heart they are the rock women of the 70s they have a few soft rock just as good. Beautiful and talent I think they can help Alley to appreciate rock. Surprise her with them.Finngers crossed ❣️
In the Video for Rascal Flats the lady was kinda teasing and didn't speak of what they wanted for the future, then next thing the Guy gets in a car wreck that takes his life leaving the girl falling apart.
Actually the song first was song by Mark Wills. He signed rights to Rascal Flatts who gave Aaron Lewis permission to sing it. Lol but still a beautiful song regardless
For me, Aaron is hands down my favorite artist of all time. It's not JUST his voice, but it's also the way he projects his emotions in every song he sings. Amazing lyricist.
since he has gone country, he has become one of my favorite country artists.
Easily my favorite singer! Rock or Country, Love it. I've seen either Staind or Aaron solo Live in concert 13 times.
Know this song well, but never heard him sing it. He owned it. He expressed the angst clearly with his voice.
I love all of Aaron's music... it just hits different. Raw and REAL. One of his most recent brought me to tears..."Am I The Only One" - no, my brother, you are NOT the only one. So glad to see you going down this rabbit hole. His solo music is top notch.
Sebs, You have to hear him sing "Everybody talks to God" !! Will not be disappointed!
I wasn't aware that Aaron had covered this song. It's a great song, and he does a great job. I think you would enjoy seeing the official video of the original song. The female actor does an awesome job in the video. Take care...
If he does watch the original video, he needs to be prepared. Make sure he has a full box of Kleenex on hand. 😭
My first time ever hearing this guy. Great introduction. This is my favorite song from Rascal Flats, and I still love their version, but also caught off guard by the raw emotion of Aaron's version. New artist for me to investigate.
Aaron covers Black by Pearl Jan try that one it's absolutely beautiful!
Look up Staind, thats his band.. songs like “Outside” you will be hooked
I've loved "What Hurts the Most" since Rascal Flatts released it in 2006. I honestly didn't think that a cover would ever compare to the original, but WOW! I'm beyond impressed with this cover! Thanks Sebs!
rascall flatts covered that off another guy who wrote this song about his sons passing in the 80's
I found Aaron Lewis with Stained! Seen him live a few times! His voice and his love of Jesus keeps me a fan for life ❤
I am glad you enjoyed this cover, Aaron's version is so raw and emotional. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us.
He was the lead singer for stained! 1 of my favorite song's by him!
My favorite song of his is his acoustic version SOMETHING TO REMIND YOU . Also GRANDPAS GUN.
Try his "Am I the only one" there are 2 versions one is explicit one the f word is swapped out.
You should give Aaron Lewis's Lost & Lonely, Tangled up in you, & Everyone Talks to God
First time I heard of this guy, but he sounds fantastic. I sometimes think hearing their voice more than the music playing over it, but the guitar is really just right. Thanks for introducing this gentleman
A definite one to here by Aaron is Everybody Talks to God
Bro....if you're a believer....as a reactor myself...you need to check out "Everybody Talks To God" by Aaron...amazing song.
More Country than most of today's Country Music!!!
I’m so glad Aaron Lewis decided to go country. His voice is absolutely amazing!
'Country Boy' is one of my favorite songs, please check it out! I dearly love Aaron Lewis' music! Thank you, love your reactions.
Jeffrey Steele wrote this about losing his father. When Jeff sings it, it hits hard.
I love Aaron, his band Staind is freaking amazing. Seen Aaron several times and you must see him live..you will be in awe.
More Aaron Lewis pls!!
His voice is amazing. What a great cover. You do need to do Rascal Flatts version next.
The original is actually by Jeffrey Steele
Jeffery Steele, mark wills, rascal flats, and so on from there. In that order. Alot of people have re made this song. Jeffery steele was the original songwriter.

Jeffery Steele wrote this song about his estranged daughter.
Rascal Flats song is the original. I like his raspy voice singing it though. Haha. I was in the middle of commenting when you read someone else's words about it being RF's song. 😂
I also like that it's slower & more emotional.

You should see the original version by Rascal Flatts, the official video! So good! Loved this version too. Thanks for sharing it.
Phone book! His voice is so awesome to me! He could sing anything! Favorite song though I would have to go back to Staind.....Something to Remind You.... Live version is insane!!!!

Not6 a fan of Rascal Flatts either!
I seen him live with his rock band Staind. Great voice.
He has some nice original songs too of course, but he does a nice cover of Black by Pearl Jam. And a bunch of other covers.
A country song done by Rascal Flats in early 2000's. You are country at heart.
Aaron Lewis is fabulous singer!!! Have loved him for years.
I'm from Western Massachusetts. STAIND, including Aaron are from around here. For years we would go watch them at local bars till they finally hit it big.
"Country boy" is really good i like how he talks about his dealings with the record company in it
I love all versions of this song (Rascal Flatts aren’t the original singers).

I've seen Aaron a few times live during his solo country concerts. Check out his new album Frayed at both ends
Raw just raw emotion
He's an amazing singer. His voice is magic just like eddie vedder. What are those light things hanging beside youre bed?
he just knows exactly what to do to bring all the emotion out of a song. oh and by the way this song is originally done by Jeffery Steele.
Love this song!
His version of the Chris Stapleton song “whiskey and you” is awesome
That is a beautiful version of the song. Sebs is a stud too 😊
Jeff Steel was the writer and the original guy to sing it because of his son passing away. You should hear him sing it
Am I The Only One is the next song you should see........
Listen to The Difference Between Whiskey and You. He's come over to the country side!
Arron Lewis is the SHIT and underrated.
Not sure you’ll see this but i was a combat medic in the army. You should listen to “they call me doc” by walker Mcguire and also “the father my son and the Holy Ghost” by Craig Morgan
Going to see Staind in a couple weeks. Love Aaron Lewis in both genres. Amazing voice for country or metal.
Wow why haven’t I ever heard of him he’s wonderful
Perfect time to compare this versus the original. Check out the Rascal Flatts version. Both good, but I prefer the original.
This song was originally written by “Jeffery Steele” his version is also great!
He was the lead singer of stained. Not Lincoln Park
The original by Rascal Flatts is a must hear.
Aaron Lewis - Country Boy (ft. George Jones and Charlie Daniels)
Aaron’s story of entering the rock industry, then leaving to go back to his country roots.
I just found your channel and have been cruising your videos. If you haven’t reacted to welcome home sanitarium or the cover by Lim Byzkit you should
Play Heart they are the rock women of the 70s they have a few soft rock just as good. Beautiful and talent I think they can help Alley to
appreciate rock. Surprise her with them.Finngers crossed ❣️
Song is originally written and sang by Jeffery Steele
State of Mine did a fantastic cover of this song

Amazing
In the Video for Rascal Flats the lady was kinda teasing and didn't speak of what they wanted for the future, then next thing the Guy gets in a car wreck that takes his life leaving the girl falling apart.
Also Staind has 2 new songs out and they are amazing!!
The dude playing the Dobro owned it.
Best version of this song
And that is live.guy is bad azz
Somebody was playing the dobro
I know you’re a guitar player. Have you listened to Mr. Policeman by Brad Paisley. If not, it’s fun. He’s incredible
I love Aron but that's Rascal's flats song! I'm a huge fan of them both! Try the true video of Rascal flats!
It was a dobro
An acoustic steel guitar so to speak but it was around long before the steel
This was not originally from rascal flats. It was a cover for them too (and the original and Aaron’s are far better). Jeffery Steele wrote this song.
jeffrey steele wrote this song about his sons passing and it is a dobro that the dude in background is playing
You have to listen to Tangled up in You by Staind, with your wife it is an amazing song.
Staind: Something to remind you
This is a cover of Rascal Flatt's song.
Actually the song first was song by Mark Wills. He signed rights to Rascal Flatts who gave Aaron Lewis permission to sing it. Lol but still a beautiful song regardless
