Duuudeeee!! I was really hoping someone would do a lesson or at least transcribe this groove and you did both! You’re seriously one of the best teachers out there right now, thank you!!
Ah thanks so much Brian my dude, really nice comment to read! Stoked you enjoyed the video and glad you got something from it! Let me know how you get on with the grooves man! Alex 👊
Getting on better with this feel since my last viewing and practice of this modulation. It's your very impressive rendition of this coliauta part in your demonstration that makes this upload a great resource for practice. You perform the part cleanly but also authentically( ie I don't hear the exercise but I do hear the groove). Technically I've the pattern and since the first time I've watched your video, but the real work I've been trying is the relaxed execution of the feel that you exhibit herein. one thing is to discuss sticking. The other ones impression when played. You nail it here
Hey mate, stoked you're digging the videos! Just had a little listen my dude, not really my kind of thing to make a video on but they sound cool! Can imagine they'd go off live haha! Thanks for checking out the videos mate! Alex 👊
Great video Alex. I wonder what do you think about the groove from Sunrise in Beijing by Christian Scott. Is it very hard to play? what do you think about making tutorial on this?
Stoked you dig it my dude! Yeahhh crazy beat man! Definitely a tricky one but I’m confident I could figure it out! Will add it to the list my dude! Alex 👊
Hey man! God, you are so good!! Could you please do a breakdown of one of Jeff Porcaro's few recorded solos? I'm talking about the one beginning at 9:44 on "All Blues" on the "Los Lobotomys" album (the "remastered" here on RUclips with the blue background with a skull on it). It's a mind-bending and equally time-bending solo that I'd love to see played so I can learn it myself. Check it out! It's Jeff trading solos with Vinnie, and is the most hip thing. If you could do the one starting at 10:21 (also Jeff) as well, that would be amazing, but I'd at least love to see the first one played by a drummer so I can see what he's doing :)
Thanks Michael my dude, stoked you’re digging the lessons! Thanks for sending over the clip, will check it out for sure! Be good to get a Porcaro video cracking! Alex 👊
Marvelous stuff😊 love Austins as well👍
