Much appreciate the explanations! What do you do when the person snatches the hand back after the first grab or has a sweaty forearm and slips right out of it? I tried this maneuver this past week and my training partner kept slipping out of it.
I learned to grab the tricep, pull, get behind, get a hold of his other side armpit while my hand is still on the tricep but a bit deep, then pushing and tripping him My ground game is literal dog shit so i Didn't learn much of takedown but its ez and effective af
@@KnightJiuJitsu That's what I ended up doing, but even at 1/4, it was pretty quick. Took 5-7 replays to catch the details. Honestly, just running a single take at 10-15% would be super helpful, but that takes a bit of time in editing. Regardless, thank you. I'll definitely be working on this since my arm drags turn into running in circles. Looks like a high-speed sit-up guard, especially with punching through the back of the legs as you're turning the corner.
@@JohnDoe-rs4flit’s definitely something that could be a much longer and detailed video, but I also try to cater toward shorter attention spans, which unfortunately are becoming more and more the norm with RUclips viewers. So I make these videos as quicker overviews, longer than a Reel but not full instructional length. And you’re right that very similar mechanics can be applied to a sit-up guard to lead into wrestle-ups, back takes, etc.
Awesome! Thanks for putting out such quality content for free.
As a teacher and a coach- this was really good.
Thank you!
One of my go to’s - excellent technique, very well explained
I always like to see Low-risk/High-reward takedowns. I especially like your details on securing grips for the arm drag.
🙏🙏🙏
Great stuff!!! I gotta add this to my takedowns.👍🏾

Haha I guess my coach must have watched your video. He made us drill this exact one 2 days ago
Great teacher
Thank you!

I often slide off their arm and fall back trying to do this. Any idea what i might be doing wrong?
Opponent guy is Big
Way too fast at the critical moments.
Watch it again or on a slower speed if you need to.

World of advice can you just show the move / technique rather than constantly talking !
No. I show and explain. Feel free to watch shorter videos without talking for shorter attention spans. 👍
