I say wrap-cover that new mount, before installing, in some discarded durable plastic bag/packaging and use some clear box tape to secure around it. This way, petroleum oils which leak out of the seals of our old engines won’t be able to drip on and degrade the edpm rubber mount, causing another failure! Take care
Never tighten bolts until all bolts are in place, it makes life a lot easier, Now as far as the nuts on the bracket you have no choice because you won't be able to reach them later
I just did the job I did it from the I took the passenger tire off I would suggest that you cut away the bad rubber with a steak knife so you can use your socket better cut away the bad
You should have mentioned that it’s bet to remove the 2 mounts up top the (dog bones ) and that allows the engine to raise up with zero resistance, and helps work the lower mount out , those lower bolts you torqued , I tighten them then start the car shift from rev to drive a few time and recheck the torque I’ve found those bolts missing many times or once everything is in flush snugged dog. Bones on just tighten them up no reason at all for a torque wrench on something like that snug that bolt and give it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn be sure their tight , or it’ll return with a hard thud when going in gear , 37 isn’t much torque not sure why anyone would even go into that get them even she tighten them up just a bit more then you would s spark plug I know you can’t go cranking in them or it could damage the mount but that also needs to settle good and be tight and I also clean it and spray do gloss on them helps keep leaking oil from getting in the mount glue shed causing separation rubber starts to deteriorating so I clear coat them it just kelps keep that rubber to steel from oil intrusion good video Toss that torque wrench it’s for beginners that break stuff
I replaced all mounts on my 2010 Impala, but it seems to kick/jerk when i shift from parking to reverse, at times it kicks pretty hard, anyone knows what it could be? A transmission solenoid maybe?

Just ordered mimes today, can't wait to fix it on my 2010 Impala

Bro you gotta show us where the bolt is at, you got the camera zoomed in so far you can’t tell where it is
Its literally under the crankshaft, can't miss it
Thank you so much
If these bolts are not properly tightened would it cause vibrations during hard acceleration and also make the engine not run as smooth?
Do you have to loosen the upper motor mount to raise the motor to replace the hydraulic motor mount

so since all these motors transmissions etc. are differant, what year, type, size was that 1?🤔
How many mounts are they
Poor camera angles on this 1. Couldn't tell what you were doing and where.

A transmission solenoid maybe?
How many lower engine are on this vehicle?
If your not a mechanic already you have a tough time this video
did you have to losen or take of top mount to let it lift enough?
Don't really have to, unless you wanna make extra work.
U don't curse enough...lol.
So there's only 1 mount?
It ain't this a transmission mount?
