He was Georgetown's first Iverson. One of my favorite Hoyas. Rest in Peace David. You brought lots of joy to those that watched you play. Condolences to your family and friends.
I just heard the news I’m a diehard Syracuse Orange fan I remember the work he used to do against my team R.I.P Mr Edwards gone but never forgetten😭😭😭😭😭😭
I know Dave well we grow up together. Dave was nice but Queens had alot of dudes that were nice. The best player I faced at a young age was Dwayne Tiny Morton he went to Shimer JHS with me on Linden Blvd. That dude was ILL at a young age and his high school championships speaks for his knowledge of the game. Not to take away from my man Dave E, he also held his own.
WOW. Thanks for sharing my dude, word up! I looked forever to find footage of Dave when he played for G/Town, especially this game. I eventually did and loved every moment. I rocked with Dave at IS 8 when we were shorties, St. Pascals, Christ the King Farmers Blvd.(Coach Cat-Ice) up until High School. We (Hillcrest High 84-1989) met up at the Thanksgiving Classic at AJ. We won the game and kept Dave to a slow 30 I think, lol. Anyway..... wish he would have made it at G/Town man word. He was great to play with and watch play. Queens Stand Up!!!
Yea Dave grand pops lived on Inwood we use to play at 160 alot in the summer. Also u spoke of the Hillcrest team I'm sure IBORN was on that squad use to battle IB at Van wyck park every other day!
